The food was great. It was my first time coming, we order quite a few things to create a spread. My favorite was the Sweet and Spicy Chicken. We ordered the 5 piece of the whole chicken. I do like that they give the option, as opposed to just the wings. Everything was fresh and really good. The onion rings were ins second for me. The service was fine. It seemed like more of a chill spot. Everything came out as soon as it was really.

I'm all about some Korean and KS did the job. First things first- what did I order you ask? Well I've been in the mood for some Japchae for about a month and hadn't scratched that itch so I had to get that, and it was on point! Tasted like it did in Korea. Also i got the sweet and spicy wings and they weren't spicy at all but they were definitely sweet and tasty. I also got the soy garlic wings and they were good too. Overall i would've like the wings to be a little crispier, otherwise they were solid. Service was to be expected for a small walk in. I came in and made a pretty lengthy order with eat in and take out food, and waited about 20 mins before i got my eat in stuff. Not great, but I've seen way worse and when i went there was one person at the register and one in the kitchen so that's not bad! Not to mention they were busy! I counted at least 7 orders that came in and/or ordered in advance. Ambience is mom and pop, casual and relaxed.

I am so excited to see another Korean place pop up on the Southside of Hampton Roads, as we don't have many. This place offers bowls and Korean fried chicken. We got the bowl with kimchi fried rice and spicy pork with various add one. The bowl was super, and had a great spicy flavor. The banchan was typical favorites, like the Korean potato salad, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and broccoli. We also ordered a to go drumstick garlic fried chicken. It was crunchy and flavorful! It came with a side of pickled radish and potato salad. I think the potato salad is my favorite banchan! The staff were super nice and attentive. Our banchan and water was refilled without asking. So sweet! She also gave us a little Yakult (yogurt dessert drink) at the end. The place is not very decorated, but it's a good and quick place for lunch. I definitely recommend take out if you are on the go. Thank you so much!

Finally a place that sells Korean Cup Bap. This place is Korean owned and the cooks are legit. As soon as you walk in you can smell the aroma of the amazing food they are cooking. The staff was friendly and they even helped me with certain suggestions to make my order tastier. As for the food, it was very flavorful. They give you a good amount of food. The food was so good I forget to take pics. They have some tables where you can dine in but this place is good for a quick Korean pick up. Check them out.

Not the friendliest service, didn't really offer much help in deciding on food items. Seafood pancake wasn't cooked thoroughly so some of it was doughy, and the amount of seafood in it was honestly not even worth it being called a seafood pancake. The cup bap was fine, a bit too salty probably. The bulgogi and mushrooms were probably the best parts of it.

Always excited to try Korean! They say the more side dishes the better the restaurant quality. First things first when you walk in its clean and simple decore. Service was spot on. You can take out or dine in. You walk to the front desk and you fill out the sheet for your order. I decided to dine in. I wanted to try the "Cup Bob" so I ordered the fixings with beef short ribs (+$3) more and array of veggies. While waiting I was presented 4 complemantry side dishes. And is not part of the "Cup Bob". I thought that was very nice they do that. I finally got my Cup Bob short ribs. The cup was good they stack it with rice and the veggies, but very disappointed there were only 3 small pieces of short ribs. I mean small!! I kind of wondered why the heck did I pay extra $3 bucks. Not worth ordering that gain. I will try another protein next time and hopefully it's not going to be small pieces. All in all it was okay. I will come back only if I want a lot of veggies.

The side dishes are good. The food is not overrated. I love everything I ordered. The kimbap is freshly made. My friend loves it too.

The food was freshly made and traditionally tasteful. My family and I enjoyed every meal ordered... from the Cup Bob (build your own bowl), select sauces (Gochujang), Steamed Dumpling, Chicken Teriyaki, to the Beef Bulgogi and rice. All the veggies were fresh, as was the freshly made Kimchi(s). If there was a theme that I'm trying to cement in your mind, that would be FRESH AND TASTY! Bon appétit!

My first time here, I ordered the build your own cupbap, japchae and 6pc hot and spicy wings. Everything tastes great and fresh made. The portion sizes were good as well, I also love the amount of banchan I received. I will definitely comeback and try their other dishes.

The food- My hubby ate while I enjoyed hanging out, listening to, and watching Mak tell stories and interact with everyone. Hubby enjoyed the food as always. This was our 2nd time or 3rd time coming here, and even though I can't remember what we had, I know for sure we enjoyed the food. This time around my hubby had Kare-kare and really liked it! We also bought a big container of sisig to go, which we had for dinner and we absolutely love it!!! I'd say Fiesta Kainan is our new fave go to for quick Filipino meals.

I tried out the caldereta and the mechado (?). I liked both items but I found it too oily for my liking. The vegetables were stewed perfectly and the meat texture were nice and tender. I think had I visited earlier in the day, it may have had a less oily texture to it. The accompanying soup was super sour but acted as a perfect palate cleanser after the oily meals. The service was excellent-- friendly, patient, and helpful. You can pick and choose different entrees over rice or pancit. Similar to getting food from Panda Express. The inside of the restaurant has several family friendly seatings available and baked goods and market also. Lastly, parking is free and plentiful right across from the front entrance. If an out of area Filipino asked for a good place to eat, I wouldn't hesitate recommending them. I certainly wouldn't mind revisiting again in the future.

I'm all for new businesses with a chill vibe and this place has it!…read more Well I found out this place is an extension of the Origami Asian Bistro. The bistro has a lounge/club atmosphere about it, while The Bamboo Room is a restaurant that caters to the brunch crowd. Well to my surprise I had never heard about either place until a few Sunday's ago. Somehow I received word through avenues that an event was taking place here on Sunday, February 11th. I was in the area, but I had already eaten breakfast. Seemingly, I figured I'd check it out because I was super curious. I did have a super hard time locating this place. After driving in circles for 10 minutes, I called the contact number and those directions provided were spot on. I believe the address I had was much different than the address that pulls up when searching for this place. Nevertheless, I am here... I pulled up and I saw at least four others walking ahead of me. I figured ok... traffic... this place must be worth checking out. I took a few pictures before heading inside... upcoming events taking place at Origami... I stepped foot inside and was immediately awestruck by the brow raising aromas of their Sunday brunch! Man, I wish I was a little bit hungry just to give them a try. But again, I was super full, but going by the smell alone, five stars!! Well speaking of stars... I subtracted a half of a star because I cannot vouch for the food because I did not try anything. And the other half of the star is because they did not have WINE! WHAT!!!??? So yeah, a huge blow...but mimosas were featured... at least two kind (a special juice and orange juice). I tried the special juice mimosa...sensational! I exchanged words with the bartender, Niecey, a waitress, Tiana and someone who seemed to oversee everything, Kam. They all were super friendly and forthcoming about everything. Especially the bartender she gave a me a little background on the restaurant and she enlightened me about Origami. Evidently they had an awesome SuperBowl event...she raved about it. And the young man, Kam, handsome fella, he asked a few times if I was ok... southern hospitality I'd say. Just an awesome vibe all throughout my dining in experience. The bartender even offered those sitting at the bar a sample of an alcoholic shot... it was delicious! I think I saw them offer everyone in the restaurant a shot... great hospitality I'd say. Cheers! Music was played through a speaker or two... nice tunes... those sing along type songs. Well I enjoyed it... anything from 80s music to Beyonce! There was a group present celebrating something and they all seemed to be having a great time! The atmosphere at noonish... the place is about 700 square feet and on this day including myself, the restaurant had about 25 guests during Sunday Brunch. I'm excited to return and try the brunch buffet with another mimosa! I recommend if you are in the area on a Sunday to give them a try. They only feature Sunday brunch right now. I believe. Now the Origami Bistro... I am unsure of the hours. But they have events from time to time... The Bamboo Room has spark a super interest... they are on to something! The Bamboo Room is located same shopping center as Ollies off of Virginia Beach Blvd. in Norfolk. Also in the shopping center you'll see, a Chinese Buffet Restaurant and MP Island Restaurant on the opposite end of the Bamboo Room. There is also plenty of parking. But visiting on a Sunday shouldn't present any issues at all. Have fun and enjoy life :)

We ordered sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken fried rice, and beef lo mein. The beef lo mein noodles were broken into small pieces instead leaving them as long noodles and there were more vegetables than there were noodles. The beef in the beef broccoli had an unusual taste like it had been sitting out for too long and the broccoli and bamboo shoots had a really weird taste that I can't even explain; we didn't finish it. The sweet and sour sauce had a slight flavor akin to some kind of cleaning agent; we just ate the chicken without the sauce. The chicken fried rice was the best out of all of it. They should get rid of the piano player and just play music, even traditional Chinese music, over the speakers. The internal appearance of the place made us think the food and ambience would be somewhat traditional, but it wasn't even close. China Ocean off of Holland has far better Chinese food than Imperial Palace. I will not recommend imperial palace nor returning to eat there. The staff/service was great, especially our waitress Sue.
