They have a few outdoor seating options, but to my delight they actually let us eat in the restaurant! This was a lovely suprise that we didn't have to dine out in the heat. On top of enjoying the air conditioning, I was finally able to get a real southern style meal! I ordered the fried fish and shrimp with mashed potatoes and gumbo. Everything was tasty and exactly what I have been trying to get on my road trip. The staff was great and the restaurant was quiet. They did get a large group as I was leaving but even then the volume was quiet.

We got close and Waze had us make a turn on Harris street and my wife panicked. It did not look like a journey meant for us. I proceeded to our destination and the parking lot was packed. We walked in and were greeted and seated. It was a hot day and it was open air seating. It took our bodies about 15 minutes to adjust, and become comfortable. Our server was Edward aka Bubba. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, and were given a very generous portion. Bubba also added a complimentary crawfish and grits dish that was awesome. My wife ordered the fried catfish , and ordered the blackened Mahi. Both dishes were prepared to perfection, and presented tastefully. We received our order in a very reasonable time. We wanted dessert but they were out.
