If you're having any HVAC issues, definitely put Manny's HVAC on the top of your list to call…read more My AC stopped blowing cold air in this heatwave. Jerry diagnosed that it was a low capacitor and freon leak, and that the fan motor was not broken like others have said. Other companies needed me to purchase additional parts to get it fixed but Jerry was able to get my AC working the same day. My HVAC unit was nearing it's end of life so I was also comparing bids on what made the most sense for my condo. Jerry offered to temporarily 'lend' us a new capacitor and pumped freon into my system at no charge while I made the decision whether I wanted just the fix or to replace my system. If I decided to just go with the fix, I would pay for it of course, but if I went with replacing the system, they would just take back their capacitor and reclaim the freon. This was a hugely appreciated gesture. Their HVAC replacement proposal was also very competitive. I ultimately decided to replace the system. The experience was pleasant from beginning to end. Cecilia is the one who helps schedule at the office, very friendly and responsive. Jerry was the technician who helped us diagnose the issue and coordinate the HVAC team. He was friendly, transparent, and always responded quickly to my texts/questions - great communication. The day of, the workers Juan, Victor and Andrew were very professional. Maintained constant communication the whole time, kept me updated on the process and what they were doing. They wore booties inside, protected the floor with tarp, and were just very careful in general. The installation of the unit itself is very professionally done, and they vacuumed everything and cleaned up afterwards. They even explained how to register the units for warranties etc. They were able to remove the old AC and install the whole new system the same day, roughly ~5-6 hours including the crane to get the units on/off the roof of the condo building.

Miguel was outstanding in answering all our questions and adding additional information that other vendors did not. I also want to thank Brianna for being friendly and attentive to my questions and to Lee for confirming our needs (as we requested several options) that would be right for us personally. But I especially want to thank Stephanie and Christian who installed our new unit. I was afraid our Aussie would be a bother but 5 minutes later he just laid there and watch even as they went in and out of the house. He tool to Stephanie really quickly. But what really stood out is that my son must have asked a hundred questions as he watched them work and they patiently answered each one. You made his day. I greatly appreciate them both for that. Thank you.

I called Southwest Heating & Air Conditioning, and Stephane--the owner himself--stepped up immediately and showed up personally to help. He gave me an arrival window of 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but recognizing how miserable the heat was, he went out of his way to arrive extra early just to make sure I was taken care of. That level of hands-on, prompt care was just the beginning. When Stephane inspected the system, he uncovered a nightmare: a completely botched, unpermitted, and code-violating installation left behind by my previous contractor. To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement. Fortunately, Stephane's expertise, honesty, and incredible attention to detail completely changed the game. He didn't just diagnose the technical failures, hidden structural damage, and airflow disasters--he stood by me and guided me patiently through every single step needed to hold my previous contractor fully accountable. I honestly would have been completely lost without his guidance and genuine support through this whole ordeal. It is rare to find a business owner who rolls up his sleeves, shows up personally, and combines this level of technical mastery with such profound integrity and care. Because of everything he did for me, Stephane and his team have earned my absolute trust and loyalty for life. They are my go-to HVAC company moving forward, and I am proudly handing out his name to every friend and family member I know. First of all, I have never, ever written a negative review. Please look at my profile for proof…read more I had a really regrettable experience with Air Elite Heating and Cooling--would strong suggest not using this business for any kind of product install. I paid $11,000 for a job that really is substandard. 1. Danny came to do my quote and was very nice, but when actual installation came he was not onsite. A very young and inexperienced guy installed the units basically in the middle of the wall. I was not consulted asked before the guy tore huge fist size holes in my wall that are in no way standard placement for mini splits. The guy moved the unit, I had to pay for the walls to be repaired and repainted! 2. The condenser was placed on the ground in the driveway. Again--I was never consulted about where it was to be installed. It should have been installed on the side of the house--it limits the function of my driveway forever. I cannot get my recycling/trash out if I am parked in my own driveway. 3. The drains that were placed on the outer wall of my house were installed so poorly that they constantly fall off. They were not adhered at all. When I put them back up, they are fitted so shoddily that they cannot be secured. Every time I pick them up and try to reassemble them--I can see how jankily they were put together. One of them is now cracked and water is spewing all over my wall. For nearly $11K spent, I feel really taken advantage of and bad about the integrity of their work. I contacted them in advance of this review with all of these points--they never responded.

Mike's Air was fantastic. I can't recommend them highly enough, especially Slava, the technician…read morewho took care of us. Our A/C stopped working during a stretch of 100-degree weather. The first company I called I asked if he did repairs or only replacement systems. He said, "I do repairs. That's why it's in the name!" "Great!" I thought. When he checked our system he told me the compressor was bad, which was expected. I asked if he could replace it with a new or reconditioned compressor, but he said no, because the system was about 10 years old and used an older refrigerant. He said the only option wasto replace the entire system. He also said we had an asbestos-wrapped pipe that would need to be removed by another company before he could do the work. He offered to get me in contact with that company, but never did, even after I followed up. So, in the meantime I decided to call Mike's Air. It was late on a Friday. We had Slava out by Monday. He checked the system, confirmed the compressor was bad, and gave me a very different answer: yes, the compressor could be replaced. He was straightforward about the pros and cons of buying an entirely new system vs just replacing the compressor. No selling. Just facts. The price for replacement was very reasonable compared to a full system, so I figured it only has to last about 4 years for it to pay off vs buying a new system now. I gave the deposit and about a week later the compressor arrived. Slava came out the very next day -- on a Saturday -- and installed it. Everything is working again and we couldn't be happier. Not just cuz we saved money (short-term), but I felt confident that Slava was doing a professional job. What impressed me most was that Slava/Mike's Air actually gave us a repair option instead of automatically pushing a full replacement. Slava was knowledgeable, straightforward and professional throughout the entire process, as was Rhea back at Mike's. Highly recommended.
