I called them thinking I just needed some Freon--my system was making the same sound it did years ago when that was the fix. They came out, inspected everything thoroughly, and told me my system was likely at the end of its life. I didn't believe it at first, and they didn't push. Instead, they added the Freon (with full transparency that it probably wouldn't fix the issue), and gave me time to see for myself. A week later, I called them back. They were right. The Freon didn't fix it, and I was finally ready to listen. They quoted me a price for a brand-new system that was the same price I paid 10 years ago for a less efficient model--plus they credited the Freon install. No pressure, no upselling, just honest service and solid communication throughout. They've earned my trust, my business, and my referrals. I've found my AC guys for life.

After a comprehensive consultation with Tom, the owner of California Service Inc., we decided on a quiet all electric DAIKIN FIT 2-ton heat pump system with variable speed. Tom and his friendly team did an excellent job fitting the air handler and ductwork into our tight crawl space. The vents were perfectly cut into our floors and the air intake box was custom built to fit our closet. We installed an i-wave air scrubber and decided to follow Tom's advice to use a filter in the air intake vent to keep our duct work clean. Thanks to a professional and clean installation our system runs smoothly and quietly as promised. Tom was always available to answer our many questions. I wasn't sure if I should move forward that time and told him I'd call around and he said that's fine but I'd for sure end up calling him back and he was right! That time they did a quick and quality job at a resonable price. Anyways, fast forward and my A/C unit needed a deep clean last week and I couldn't find Anthony's information so I ended up calling another company for a deep clean quote. They said they can offer me a discounted $1,250 deep clean on my AC unit and the technician was pressuring me into this saying it was the best deal I could find. That seemed crazy, so I took a couple hours digging around receipts and old emails to see if I can find Anthony's info and so glad I did! Anthony sent a technician who did the deep clean AND put me on a maintenance plan for one more visit at $450. Way better deal and felt that they were honest and upfront. He probably could've upsold me but didn't, which I appreciate. Definitely recommend them for doing honest and good work which is rare these days.

We had engaged…read morethe company once before at our previous residence and everything went well and then we engaged them to update our systems in our new residence some 15 years later. In between, we had also made referrals to the company. We had the electricity outage recently as a result of high winds in the LA metro area, which was national news. After the electricity came back, we noticed that our heating system was blowing cold air. Mind you that we've only had the system for 2 months here at the new residence. I called the company and Kenny came by and put the system back on. I asked if this was going to occur every time there was a power outage, and the response was "no it's an isolated case", and yet we were billed $165 to have our system going again. Really??? I called and stated that we've never had this issue before at our previous residences due to a power outage, and just went in circles with him. I paid his bill but mentioned that we would not engage him anymore if needed and got no response obviously indicating that he could care less!! This is not a service that someone needs frequently, but if needed again, we will certainly not engage them. Too much arrogance for my tolerance level and clearly he's lost sight of the fact that his clients are the ones having made his business successful. More disturbing is that he had been highly recommended to us.

He strongly recommended Jarret at JET HVAC. Jarret came by the day after I called. He spent several hours looking at my old system. I literally knew within 15 minutes of meeting Jarret that I'd be hiring him. The other HVAC job estimator's who came by were hard selling me and trying to get me to sign TODAY. Jarret pointed out multiple things that the others did not. The others were either lying or just did not realize the intricacies of my job. Due to the slate roof on my home, the only way to get the two new units up and old units off my roof would require a crane. Jarret arranged and oversaw this part of the project as well. JET's pricing was very competitive. Jarret and his son Max showed up on time and did an outstanding job. When it comes to replacing your HVAC units, something that you obviously want done right, you can choose one of those "big" companies who will send inexperienced workers or choose someone who is not going to call the job complete until he knows everything is perfect. If you want that, you have to hire Jarret at JET HVAC.
