Excellent job on ac unit replacement. Would highly recommend. Came out for free estimate. Ordered item and came back no issues

I called Moore Air for service about a year and a half ago and Anthony seemed very knowledgeable, honest and a blunt character on the phone. I wasn't sure if I should move forward that time and told him I'd call around and he said that's fine but I'd for sure end up calling him back and he was right! That time they did a quick and quality job at a resonable price. Anyways, fast forward and my A/C unit needed a deep clean last week and I couldn't find Anthony's information so I ended up calling another company for a deep clean quote. They said they can offer me a discounted $1,250 deep clean on my AC unit and the technician was pressuring me into this saying it was the best deal I could find. That seemed crazy, so I took a couple hours digging around receipts and old emails to see if I can find Anthony's info and so glad I did! Anthony sent a technician who did the deep clean AND put me on a maintenance plan for one more visit at $450. Way better deal and felt that they were honest and upfront. He probably could've upsold me but didn't, which I appreciate. Definitely recommend them for doing honest and good work which is rare these days. read more

I needed a wall heater installed in an old apartment building. My father recommended Moore Air. Anthony Moore took the time to explain all the options and it was evident that he is VERY knowledgable and honest. The technicians were professional and pleasant. The job was a bit involved, but they handled it well and left it tidy. Jeannette, who works in the office was helpful and on top of it. You can tell they enjoy their job and have pride in the company. I recommend Moore Air for their work ethic, good communication, reliability and reasonable prices. read more

I had our AC units serviced by Moore Air. The maintenance workers were relatively pleasant to work with but tried to upsell us on a few items. I found the owner to be deceitful in his pricing. I was quoted a price for the job after clearly describing the AC setup in our home. I am very detailed in my communications with service companies. After the work was done, the quote doubled. I spoke to the owner and found him to be condescending and unhelpful with working towards a resolution. I would not recommend working with this company. read more

Jorge was very respectful and took the time to explain the situation with our broken air conditioning. He demonstrated why he came to the diagnostic conclusion and made the repair immediately. I cannot really comment on price, as I didn't get comparison quotes, but it was about what I expected to pay. Would hire again. read more

Anthony is very knowledgeable, reliable and not to mention on top of each and every client to make sure they are well take care of from beginning to the end. During the cold weather, I was desperately looking for a company to come out and see why my heating system stopped working. Even though I had a home warranty company, they were useless and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I searched online and based on his reviews I gave him a shot and sure enough without regret, he sent his crew out within hours, they fixed my heating system and before they left, he called me personally to explain the issue and make sure I was taken care of. I will not trust anyone else but Moore Air. Thank you for your professionalism read more

Moore Air - $6,000!!!! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Los Angeles, California

See all

Until this year, I spent 36 years in my Los Angeles home without central AC. My home was built in 1933 and its thick walls will hold heat after a few days, so that even after temperatures drop off, my house will remain warm. Or it did until Moore Air installed blessed relief for me and my two dogs. Why did I hold out for so long? Whatever the reasons, too many hot days the past few years (for whatever reason, although global warming is the obvious culprit) finally convinced me it was time to install air conditioning for my entire home. So I invited four companies to bid on the project. By far the best presentation came from Moore Air, specifically from Anthony Moore. He offered a very detailed description of what he would do and what it would cost to do it. That description went far beyond what was proffered by the other three company's representatives. He explained the brands of equipment he'd install (principally American Standard), where and how he'd install it in my little basement (every home in my neighborhood was built with a basement for holding the water heater and furnace, talked about permits, where the vent needed to go, etc. Of the four people who gave me a bid, Moore was one of two of them who told me I didn't need a total redo my electrical panel, which would have been an additional few thousand dollars. The price for just modifying the existing panel was included in the bid. Moore also suggested replacing my ancient duct system that my furnace used. I already decided to replace my furnace, which was 27 years old, which of course Moore was happy to do. In addition, Moore Air's bid was the lowest. So Moore Air was the clear winner. Best presentation, best price, no pricey re-do of the electrical panel, new ducts, and a clear explanation of what would happen with - and after - installation. There were a couple of options: pre-pay for inspections and an air filter Moore pushed, but not to hard. (One way Moore Air kept the cost down was with the thermostat. While it's easy to use, it's not controllable by an app. That's OK with me.) Once I gave the go-ahead, it took two days to install the AC system. It worked as soon as it started up. The system is efficient, turning itself on only intermittently. The walls and floors and ceilings stay cool, so that when morning comes after a few hot days, the interior of my home stays cool for quite a while before the AC turns on again. Thanks, Moore Air! read more

Moore was hired by my landlord to fix my a/c, so I can't comment on cost, but I was very satisfied with the work they did. This is especially true given how quickly they were able to address my non-functioning a/c when temps are really hot and I'm sure there are a lot of current needs for HVAC services. They got my a/c up and running in about an hour and kept me in the loop as to when they would arrive. read more

Why does the air conditioning always break down during a heat wave? Why?! I don't know. But I do know who to call when I need more air: Moore Air. Last summer we suddenly had no a/c in the middle of sweltering heat. Jorge arrived to fix it. 15 minutes after he left it stopped working. I called the office, and Jorge did a U-turn, came back and solved the problem. Last Friday it happened again. I called Jeanette in a sweat. She somehow managed to get Jose here that afternoon. He quickly zeroed in on the problem: a slow leak had left us without much freon. He filled us back up and added a sealant to patch the leak, wherever it was. So Yelpers, if your a/c is on the fritz and you have no idea where to turn, the folks at Moore Air are dependable, professional and very nice people to deal with, on the phone and in person. Jeanette, Jose, Jorge, Anthony... thank you! read more

This guy was atrocious and dirty AF! Okay, for a while, I have been having some problems with my air conditioning, which I really need for this upcoming summer (I suffer from heat stroke really bad and I pass out in the heat, which is why I stay inside alot during the summer months and drink ALOT of water!) Anyways, I needed my air conditioning fixed so I was told by an acquainteance of mine - he must work for Mr. Moore or something - that Anthony was really good for the job. So, I decided to call him up and I explained to him my financial situation to booth I must add and he said, and these were his exact words, "No problem! I can do it for that!" Anyways, he comes over, him and his work team and immediately starts getting to work! Now, my first inkling that something was wrong was that he refused to GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE IN WRITING! Since I was despedately and figured he is a trustworthy guy to booth - he came off as very affable and a nice, friendly guy - I trusted him! WRONG! This TURD - that is as strong of a language as I can use - tried to charge me 3 times what he told me over the. phone only AFTER they were done with the work! That was some straight up bait an switch shyte right there! Needless to say, I was PISSED and we had a somewhat "Mexican standoff" until I demanded that he goes back to the original quote he promised. Needless to say, DO NOT EVER USS MOORE AIR! Next time, I will go somewhere else! read more

The experience I had with Moore Air, Inc was nothing short of perfection. My primary communication with the company was with the President, Anthony Moore, who is delightful on the phone and has a friendly, vibrant personality. The employee who serviced our unit was friendly and efficient. He showed up on time and within 24 hours of the "distress call." When he was done with the AC unit, he then went on to diagnose and treat the heating unit as well (which wasn't the problem). He went beyond the primary issue to make sure the entire heating system was copacetic, even though the call was for the AC unit. If one wants professional service, knowing that the problem will be fixed the first time, here is the company to call. They definitely went above and beyond my expectations. read more

We live in Marina Del Rey (just off the beach with corrosion/exposure being a primary concern) in a duplex where both package units needed replacing as well as the flat top roof they sat on. I also dealt primarily with the owner Anthony Moore. It seems he does most of the estimating and initial consultation. Simply put, he and his crew were on time, completely professional, clean, and fairly priced. What more could one ask for? Also, Anthony takes special care to communicate any and all changes as well as follow up calls to make sure we are satisfied. Strongly recommend! read more

I would like to call out what poor customer service this company has. First, a rep. named Jeanette who answers the phones and schedules was so rude and disrespectful I cannot believe anyone would have her be the first contact for customers. Secondly, the tech get to my home and he is also rude. As a customer I am within my rights to inquire about the services being provided. He was responding to me like I was a burden to him and keep repeating I'm only doing my job and directing to call the office. So, once again back to the rude rep. Who when I asked the status of the parts to fix my unit, she said I'm on the phone with some I have to hang up on you....smh....I was in such shock. I am going to let this Marinate for a few days every talk to their leadership team. read more

Moore Air just completes an install of a split mini system in our townhouse condo. We are absolutely satisfied with their work. We obtained many quotes and estimates for installing a system. Some very low and some very high. Moore Air was right in the middle and came highly recommended by a home building contractor friend of ours. Moore Air (Anthony) came to our house twice to inspect our home with the best installation options to suit our needs. What he offered and delivered was a system that was minimally invasive to install and yet achieved maximum efficiency, functionality and quality. The installation team was very professional and respectful of our home. Anthony was always available by phone and was very responsive to our questions and concerns and most importantly did a quality job. We're very satisfied with our Mitsubishi system and can't believe we lived in our home for over twenty years without A/C and heating (except for inefficient wall heaters and fans). Moore Air did all they agreed to do, and then some. read more

Got my entire A/C unit replaced by Anthony's team in mid-December. Was a pretty intense job since they had to remove old unit from a closet space in the kitchen (odd space for an a/c furnace) and install a brand new 5-ton monster in my attic. They also replace all of the old ducts, replaced old vents to more appropriate bar-type vents, and installed a few new registers and a second return in the farther living room. This was my 2nd install by Anthony's team; they also did a similar install at my previous home in Chino just over 4 years ago. Best decision I ever made going with Moore Air. Anthony is very knowledgeable about what is the appropriate size unit for your home and pricing is very competitive. Above all, they are super clean with their work and very prompt with completing the job in a timely manner. read more

Unfortunately construction was never completed....my heating vents have been sealed since May....making for a very hot summer considering no air circulation in the house. Have been patiently awaiting asbestos air quality test results from contractor and landlord as that was part of the construction process to be completed before they unsealed my vents. Testing was conducted in August yet neither Anthony or my landlord are willing to share the results even though they are required to by law. Winter is coming as is my baby....asbestos is a serious matter that has been taken lightly by this company. read more

Ever heard "rejection is God's protection"? Well that is what it was today for me. The secretary Jeanette "put me on hold twice" and talked about me like a dog but was too stupid to realize I wasn't on hold TWICE!! I initially asked about a service but she was so cold and distant asking "well is the system working first of all?!?" Then followed up with "well you only need Freon If it's cold?!?" like I'm a Moron. So I guess I just needed a new filter. Because that size is hard to find she said she would ask where I could get it. Then the drama started: she "put me on hold and said " FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!!!" I ain't helping you find NOTHING!" Then when I called back to tell her I heard her it put me back on hold!!! This time she was talking with her sister and a guy that worked there: I hear her say she didn't like me, he said " we're slow, we could go over and create some business!" Then he said "tell her Howard's probably has that size but tell her they don't sell to the public and you have to be a professional to get it". Then he said " tell her to get it on Amazon but if she is too cheap to have us come out there she won't want to pay for the shipment. Hahah. Yeah well look who's working for an ac company answering phones... no integrity, no professionalism. I will never trust these things idiots! read more

I am sure people have good and bad experiences with air conditioning contractors. I am writing this review because I was motivated by the incredible experience we have had with Anthony Moore and his team. We rec'd a VERY competitive bid and decided after meeting Anthony and some competitors, to go with Moore Air. One of the best home decisions we ever made. They completed a difficult job with ease and calm. The foreman and his crew were exceptional. We are picky about perfection and Moore Air met our needs. When there was a clicking noise, they brought out the manufacturer's rep to inspect the unit and that problem was solved. their follow up for the rest of the year was just as promised. We have continued to use their annual inspection and maintenance, and our units work wonderfully. SIMPLY SAIDED, MOORE AIR DELIVERS!! My highest recommendation.. read more

The following account is an accurate account of what happened to me. It is very long but if you are considering working with Anthony, I suggest that you take the time to read it. The time you spend reading it may save you two months of living without heat in this chilly weather. I first contacted Anthony Moore the last week of October because we needed a new furnace and also wanted to install air conditioning. I met with him on 11/06/15, was impressed with him and told him we were interested in receiving his proposal. Our furnace is not safely functional and we are without heat. He seemed interested in working with us and told me he would send the proposal. By 11/16/15, ten days later, I still had not received his proposal. I emailed him to tell him we "were eager to receive it so that we could consider our options and move forward as soon as possible." He emailed me back the same day, apologized, explained he had been busy with family matters and told me, "I will be sure to forward a proposal this afternoon." I responded to thank him and tell him that I hoped all was well with his family. He responded that they were good things that had his attention and it had seemed that we had some rapport. I did not receive the proposal on the 17th. On the 11/18/15, I called his cell phone, his office, sent him a text message and another email, all unanswered. On 11/19, I received his proposal. The proposal included a roof-top installation of the condenser for the air conditioning unit, a site we had agreed upon. I was aware that such a placement would require some engineering and increased cost but was satisfied with that site. I then called him to tell him that we wanted to move forward with him. The payment terms of his proposal specified "$1,000 due upon the signing of this contract". I told him that we were prepared to send him the contract and 1st payment but he told me no, not yet, that he would first go to the City's Inspector's office the next day, Friday 11/20 to try to schedule an appointment with an Inspector for the following Monday or Tuesday which would then be the week of Thanksgiving. He told me that the work could probably begin the week of December 1 but by the week of December 7, at the latest. By 11/30, I had received no further contact from him and after several unreturned calls, I emailed him to find out the status of our installation. I did not receive a response so I called him December 1. At that time he told me that "tomorrow, as an officer and a gentleman, I will definitely go the City to see if Engineering is needed." I informed him that we were going to be out of town Thursday through Sunday so the Engineering visit would have to be deferred until Monday.12/7 That following week, Anthony did not communicate with me nor respond to my messages telling him that we needed heat because our daughter has health problems and is underweight and therefore is more affected by the cold. I also told him that, if he did not want to work with us, to please let me know so that I could move forward with someone else. On 12/15 and 12/16, I left messages on his cell phone and with his office. On 12/17 I finally texted him telling him that I didn't understand why he wouldn't communicate with me and stated, "if you have decided that you are not interested in doing this job, please let us know. We would like to work with you. However, if this is not going to happen, then we need to move on with someone else. Please, please, please communicate with me and let me know where we stand." He responded the same day telling me that he had "made contact with the structural engineer who said he could possibly make it out this week" and that he was "just struggling to get the ...engineer's and my schedule together. Will call him again in about thirty min. And see how he is looking for tomorrow." I responded, "Thank you, Anthony. We are available and local whenever he wants to come. Just keep me posted." I had no further communication from Anthony. I called him and left messages again on 12/21, 12/28, both with his office and cell phone. All calls were unreturned. Finally, on 12/29, I called his office at 8:28 am and left a message with his assistant that I needed to speak with Anthony and if I had not heard from him by 1:00 pm that day, I would take that to mean that he was not going to work with me. She told me that she would text that to him immediately. I never got a response. It has been extremely cold and we are now at the back of the line with any other vendor. What makes me most angry is that he kept stringing me along instead of just being honest, when I gave him more than one opportunity to tell me if he didn't want to do our installation. So Anthony, too bad you wouldn't talk to me. I got yelp to listen. read more

I used Moore Air during the month of December and was very pleased that I did. Everyone there was great, and I do mean everyone. We recently had Moore Air Inc put a new heater in our attic and I was very pleased with the job they did. After a call to their office an appointment was made for the next day to give us a bid. Anthony Moore came by to give the bid and was very knowledgeable about heating systems. He explained all the options for my situation, gave me a preliminary bid and then promised to send a detailed bid the next day with various options. Just as promised the detailed bid came in an email the next day I contracted with Moore to have the heater installed. It was a two day job and his crew came on time both days, worked hard and did an excellent job of installing the heater. They were very professional and were patient with me as I watched them work. Anthony Moore took care of all the permits and arrangements for the final inspection. During the bid process, installation and inspection I made several calls to the company and each time my question was answered immediately or I got a return call within an hour (usually less). All in all I was very please with the services the company provided and their services were done at a fair price. I would use them again if needed and do recommend them to others having a heater installed. read more

Anthony is a terrible person to work with, and this company strung me along for months instead of just telling me that they couldn't do my job. This is my first Yelp review, I waited a whole year before posting this, I just received our second complimentary service visit with Jose. I am happy to say that my wife and I are very satisfied with this company. After getting four bids for adding air conditioning to our home, we selected Moore Air who was mid pack price wise but stood out starkly against the others in offering detailed information and suggestions. Along with complete explanations when asked questions. The bid included priced options for upgraded Aprilaire filter system and thermostat. We took the filter upgrade, passed on the thermostat upgrade. Anthony is always very responsive as is his whole team, everything went like clock work, exactly as it was described. The air conditioner was tied in with our existing forced air furnace. The furnace air flow was always noisy at the return air register near the bedroom. Anthony suggested relocating the filter adjacent to the FAU in the basement. With the new upgraded filter in the basement, there is less restriction of air flow and both heat and air run very quietly and effectively. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

A wonderful experience from start to finish. We are so glad we went with Moore Air - they didn't try and sell us a new system when they saw we already had a top of the line AC/Heater unit with a lot of life left - they did however upgrade our ducts - beautifully. I don't write a lot of Yelp reviews---only when I'm super happy or super unhappy--and in this case, I'm super happy. Moore Air, Inc is without peer in my experience. I am renovating a mouldering old house in mid-city, and I've had contractor after contractor in here: I know what I am talking about when I say Moore Air went above and beyond the call of duty at every step. From preparing the estimate, to talking over the job with us, to doing the work--everything was perfect, and if it wasn't perfect and I pointed it out, whatever it was got MADE perfect. Period. I can't rave enough. It was affordable, beautifully done work and I highly recommend the whole crew--from the contractor to the receptionist to the subcontractors. Every single one of them is professional, polite, concerned, and highly competent. We asked them to keep the doors and gates shut for the dogs, they did so without fail. Do you know how many times I've screamed at contractors with careless workers who can't be bothered to shut doors or look where they track mud? Never--not once did I have to repeat myself or ask twice that something get done. They cleaned up. They checked and rechecked everything. It's a real pleasure to be able to rave about such an exemplary business. You won't regret entrusting them with your home. read more
