Konrad saved me today. It's been 3 yrs since my A/C was installed with my remodel. I neglected to have it serviced and the air wasn't cooling like it should. I found a company on line that had good reviews and asked them to service my unit. The tech looked around, took some pictures and told me it was a really bad leak situation and I needed a new unit or he could do a patch repair for 2700.00. I figured something was up. I called Konrad and even though it's been years and my overall warranty is over he told me he would send someone out, and that I still had a warranty on the coils in the air conditioner. His guy came out and it turns out it just needed a good service. Thank goodness I chose a contractor that will still take my calls years after the job is over and cares about his past customers. read more

5/25/2025 Thanks Konrad Konstruction for the follow-up rework, and for Kenny doing some of the rework. Didn't do everything we had ultimately got done, but much of what Kenny worked on and completed was done. Although having opened up recently the microwave oven for a repair the few days ago the repairman noticed and showed us all the wooden chips inside uncovered that the workers left there and didn't clean up. That was careless work on their part. That was dumb. read more

I cannot recommend Kenny at Konrad Konstruction more highly! He is the real deal! His prices are fair and he's very clear with estimates and any additional issues and costs that came up. And the details and craftsmanship- our home is stunning thanks to him! Some things that really set him above the rest: 1. Amazing communication- we texted throughout the day as issues or questions arose. He was always available, even replied to my emails on the weekend. 2. Extremely thorough with detail- I am a perfectionist and I told him to please run things by me first before making decisions because I'm anal. He was ten steps ahead and would reach out to me when his men were doing tile work or placing sconces and we'd talk through the various decisions. 3. He treated me with respect- as a woman, the construction industry is very male dominated and in the past I've felt belittled by male contractors. Kenny treated me and my husband with the same attentiveness and listened to my concerns. I never felt dismissed or that I was being "too much". 4. Professionalism- he and his crew are so professional. They arrived on time and stayed all day and cleaned up after every day. They each are so talented at what they specialize in- whenever we showed up to the house during the project there was always a lot of action going on. 5. Local- having Kenny local was a game changer! Highly recommend! I first used Konrad Konstruction in 2013 -- after a recommendation from a friend -- to replace my old homes very old plumbing and sewage line. The team did excellent work for a great price. In 2015, I had the entire house rewired from its original old wiring. Again excellent work for an affordable price. In 2020, Konrad Konstruction built a 400 square foot ADU in my backyard from the ground up. They built a state of the art tiny house. In 2025, they remodeled my kitchen and bathroom and a tankless hot water heater. Over the years, they also added an HVAC unit, redid the old hardwood floors, and installed all new windows. I cannot recommend Konrad Konstruction enough. We are really pleased with the work of Konrad Konstruction! We bought a 1150 sq ft unit in Leisure World Seal Beach. We asked Kenny to review and quote a project to install a new tile/glass shower, raise the ceiling and install a solar operated skylight in the kitchen, add a sliding glass door in the dining room, remove the outside deco block and repair the stucco and add a 10x 22 patio. He got back to us very quickly with a very reasonable quote and helped us negotiate the permitting and other inspection hoops required by both Leisure World and the city of Seal Beach to begin construction in a timely manner. All the workers were very nice and friendly and flexible, even when I insisted in laying out the tile patterns and worked with me to get it right. Along the way there were other items we decided were needed and they were flexible to do these change orders in a timely manner and for a reasonable cost. As always, good communication is necessary on the part of all parties and Kenny and his crew were very responsive to our questions and concerns and even redid some paint areas that I was not satisfied with. The patio turned out really nice and they worked hard to meet our timelines for completion. We get lots of compliments on the remodel and especially the patio. I requested some more unusual rounded corners and brick caps that were harder to construct and these were done expertly and look great. I love the work done to my home!!! The superintendent, Kenny, helped a lot with recommendations and tips for remodeling. First of all, I want to make it clear about how patient he was when I had a lot of change orders, especially on last minute changes I felt bad but renovating a home isn't quite easy when there's so many options to choose from... so thank you Kenny for having patience! I wanted everything upgraded to a more modern renovation and asking Kenny for his advice went beyond my expectations. He opened up options as to plans and designs that I wasn't even considering to begin with. The work crew is extremely polite and great attitudes. Quality work and materials exceeded my needs. I just wanted full upgrades in the kitchen with countertop, cabinets, sink, recessed lights, backsplash and entire color change but on the plan I already had... Kenny then recommended an island instead of the same peninsula and I am so happy he insisted on it because now my kitchen feels like a completely new home. (Please see before and after photos.) I was so proud of the work that I ended up having the entire floor redone. Also went with repainting entire first floor, stair case, door, changed the crown molding and base boards, completely demolished a shelving unit and added a wet bar, and to top everything off, added central AC (FAU unit). I feel like I have a brand new home now and I truly feel like it wouldn't have been possible if I was working with someone else. Working with Kenneth closely on this project was fun, lasted a little under a month, but most of all, it was like watching my dream kitchen come true... This is a great family owned construction company. I was pleased at how honest and upfront Kenny was with us. He was not the cheapest but very reasonably priced. He was very personable and passionate I could tell every step of the way when he showed us the daily results. We even had a city inspector that did not like the way something was done and it was immediately fixed for the inspector and it didn't need to be rescheduled. The attention to detail was amazing and he always was getting feedback from us each step of the way. There are not many companies out there like this anymore.
