I said...um...ok...then I hung up. Come to find out from FB posts and another yelp reviewer that Sprout no longer takes Dental Dental PPO! I called Sprout to confirm and they said it's been like that for a year now; they only accept Premier. What?! It would have been nice to know that. Bye, Sprout! Now I really have a good reason to find a new pediatric dentist.

After giving all the information needed I was told "how this would work" which was a speech about how parents are not allowed in during the appointment and I'd have to wait in the waiting room. After saying how that seemed extremely odd and concerning since this is a medical appointment and I'm their parent I was told it was "no different than day care". We don't do daycare either not that this is even remotely the same. Sorry I'm not leaving my small tiny children who I already mentioned were nervous with a man I've never met. I was then told maybe they could arrange for me to "meet him first". There's something very strange or worse going on here. Please steer clear.

She asked about my insurance, maybe she assumed we didn't have any - and said it would "need to be paid upfront." Ok. I also see that they have the child in the room alone - no parents, which I expressed that this is not something we would ever do ; I've seen other reviews mention this, as did other mom friends, and even they seem to think it unnecessary and strange. She was rude, unprofessional, lacks decorum - and I told her this ; she then hung up on me. I called back, since I had asked for the spelling of her name and manager's name as this was happening - Amanda would be in on Monday I was told after I called back after she hung up. I could care less what your personal opinion may be, have some tact, be courteous - I will never bring my child here, and be sure to tell every mother in my area and the PTA about this prejudiced and unacceptable interaction. I've never called an establishment for preliminary information and questions as a potential customer and been treated this way. It's odd. I would reconsider who you have as the face of your business, as customer interaction is key.

Allow me to elaborate: We have Cigna PPO dental and it's a pretty decent plan that allows us to visit any location even if they are out of network. So this place used to be in network with Cigna PPO which was great but then decided they were no longer to be in network with them, which is fine! I don't have a problem with that at all. The issue I do have is my Cigna PPO still allows me to visit this location and will pay sometimes 100% sometimes 80% or whatever, depending on the procedure. But Bright Smiles told me I have to pay EVERYTHING up front even though it may be covered by insurance and then I would be reimbursed after they determine what was and wasn't covered. I've never met any doctor or dentist who wouldn't just submit everything to insurance first and then send me a bill for the remainder after everything was processed. It's pure Greed. I'm very dissatisfied they went this route, I've had all my bills in the past with them always paid but now they won't provide any service unless I pay whatever they are asking and then after everything is cleared with insurance I must wait for reimbursement. I just think if you have PPO dental insurance bright smiles should submit everything to the insurance first and then after everything is settled then they should send you the remaining bill, if there even is one. Maybe I was told misinformation at which point please tell me and I will continue to bring my children here and change my review but so far I've spoken to 2 different people at the office and that's what I was told.
