Wow! This place was great as someone with mechanic/vehicle anxiety i dont trust no one with my vehicle i even do my own oil changes but my a/c hasn't been working for over two years and it got to me this past week with the hot weather. So i decided to show up to this place that was just around the corner from my house and ask if the could service it. As soon as i walked in i was greeted and i have over 15yrs of customer service experience so i always judge a place by the way they interact with me. The service was great asked me about my problems and what i wanted done. They explained everything in detail and were very open about the cost and length of time A+ . They did a full vehicle inspection and pointed out all my current vehicle problems and a detailed explanation which is a major plus in my book including pictures A++. My truck needed freon recovery since a different shop put in the wrong freon (explains my reasoning behind my over 2yr wait). Mannnn they got my a/c working by close of business and it is pumping JUICE!!!!!!! My truck was dropped off at 8 am by 4:40 i got a text that it was done. A huge thank you to Kolben Auto Care! My AC amongst other items were not working, I called at 8:30 am and they were kind enough to take me in at 9 am. Luis was super helpful and very thorough in his explanation of how they would examine what needed to be done. At no point did he pressure me or try to force a service, he gave me estimate and kept me informed. We took our vehicle in for diagnosing possible transmission system failure. Communication by the mechanics we good. They provided feedback and photographs of mechanical failure. Upon completion of service, they discovered two additional "possible" failures which MAY be the reason for the vehicle unable to move into gear. The additional components and labor charges were more than expected. Unfortunately, we received the vehicle with a completely "dead battery" (jumpstart did not work). Representative, agreed to have the battery brought in, to have it charged. Update will be provided, after service provided. UPDATE: Clutch kit was utilized to repair transmission by mechanics at shop. Price quote for Clutch Slave Cylinder and Clutch Master Cylinder was between $900-$1000; parts and labor (five hours of work) for the additional work. Service manager did provide a minimal saving discount, if the additional work was conducted by his shop. We did the remainder of the repair ourselves. Service manager contacted my family and expressed his concern of the review. Battery replaced for a Delco battery versus an Interstate battery. Mechanic forgot to reconnect the alternator cable. Attention to detail is needed. Our vehicle is back on the road, with the shop's clutch kit warranty. read more

I had a rude awaking this last time I took my car to this shop. They replaced a fuse and used two rolls of electric tape total $1760. This is the second time my car was in this shop for this same issue. I paid them $1200.00 last year to fix this same issue. While my car was in their possession the mileage app I use for my delivery gig recorded my car being driven at night and in different towns. As well as speeding talking on the phone while driving sudden braking action. My car also has damage to the passenger side that wasn't there. I am so disappointed. I trusted these guys I have taken my car to them for 3 years. I honestly feel I was taken advantage of because I'm a woman. It took my husband going down to the shop to get my car. A-Plus deserves a five star rating! This place is a gem! Our family dropped off our late model Nissan pickup with over 250,000 miles on the odometer for a general tuneup. My 83 year old mother mentioned that the truck also needed a smog inspection at this time. The team at A-Plus said they would take care of it. That being said, the shop team did just that, they performed the tuneup on the truck, and they drove it to a smog inspection station knowing that it would save our family time and effort. The brakes on my camper van went out earlier this month while I was in Dinuba (I live in SC). They were able to check it for me that morning and fix them the same day. They showed me the problems before getting authorization to proceed, and even texted pictures of the repairs for my records. They charged a fair price, and everyone was very friendly throughout the process. It is a family business, and that clearly shows in how they operate. They even called over the next few days to make sure everything was working well as they knew I was traveling through mountainous areas. Best Place in the valley By far! Went in with a transmission problem and got it fixed right away! Also, they Basically did a Catscan is what I call it :) on my truck they told me everything that I needed to service or change to prevent a very Costly repair and the best part is you can see all of the work they do and all the stuff you need because they take pictures and post it on a link that they send you through a text it's basically a profile of your car or truck all at the tip of your fingers, the staff is awesome! My first time coming here I double checked their recommendations and price quotes with a few other shops...they were the most straightforward and I never felt pressured into anything beyond exactly what I asked for. They have great coupons and prices for oil changes too. After every oil change, they do a courtesy inspection and email a list of the condition of different parts of your vehicle. Very helpful!
