From when you enter the door, you are welcomed from all of the staff. they answer the phones quickly and make sure your order is made available right away if you are in a hurry. I normally get the pizza kolache and it is amazing. they always give you enough pepperonis and the bread is light and fluffy. this is right on the Southwest freeway, right by my job so it's very convenient. Love this area, you can even get popcorn next door or run some errands around the area since it's near the grocery store. Customer service is wonderful.

Proof of purchase. Short of 4 Italian chicken kolache, manager was bitter about me trying to get refund.

Great kolache selection and all the options are really tasty! The pepperoni and cheesesteak were really good!

I used to love this place but they switched the sausage to this giant weird chunk and it tastes disgusting.

It was such a nostalgic treat--it immediately reminded me of my childhood in India, when I used to eat butterscotch ice cream almost every other day. The sweet, creamy flavor brought back so many memories! I also loved the ambience and the service. It's cozy, cute, and has such a relaxed vibe that makes you want to sit and enjoy your coffee for a while. A really lovely spot to slow down, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a nostalgic cup of coffee. Definitely recommend trying the butterscotch!

We all ordered different milks -- whole, skim, coconut, and oat -- and they were able to accommodate all of us! I really liked my iced latte, which was rich without being overly floral or sweet. The pastries were also a hit, including the lemon poppy muffin, cherry turnover, chocolate croissant, and the spinach, mushroom, and cheese danish. The outside of this coffee shop and apothecary doesn't exactly have curb appeal, but the inside is bright, clean, and stylish, combining sleek lines with softer botanical elements to create a welcoming space. The barista was... indifferent at best, borderline unfriendly at worst. We did ask a couple questions that seemed to irritate her, but we were the only people in there, so we weren't holding up a line or anything. It was a bummer to feel unwelcome, but we were getting the coffee and pastries to go regardless, so it didn't ruin our breakfast.

Luce Ace Coffee takes their coffee very seriously! It's a latte with toasted coconut flavors and a hint of pandan which is popular in Vietnamese drinks. I absolutely love it and I find it difficult to try anything else because I just know it hits the spot every time. Now about the Richmond location: it's in the shopping strip across the street from Costco. The parking in front of the cafe can be limited so know that going in. This location is also pretty small, so a lot more to go orders than dining in. I met up with a friend there, found a table for two, and it was no problem. Staff are nice and ambience of the cafe is fine - nothing amazingly special. Drinks are fairly priced but can add up after tax and tip. One cool fact is, Luce Ave Coffee is popping up in various HEB grocery stores, so if you have one of those closer to your house and you need to pick up some grocery items anyway, you can get your coffee fix then. I highly recommend you try the Island Latte from Luce if you haven't done so yet!

The barista helped me pick out the perfect latte. I got the Island Latte, which the barista told me has toasted coconut flavors with a hint of pandan. I had them make it semi-sweet... There's limited seating inside, but I found a small table to get some work done (wifi access with purchase). It was a bit hot and humid inside, so I was a bit uncomfy. But that's Texas summer for ya!

I've ordered both espresso and matcha lattes, and although I'm more of a coffee person they were both so tasty! The interior is very open with lots of light, and there are a lot of seating options so I've never had trouble finding a place to sit. Wifi is fast and convenient for studying or working. Parking is also very easy. I will definitely be back! I've also tried a pilates class at their attached studio which was a lot of fun! The classes are small and intimate, and the lighting is definitely a vibe.

I always admire a husband and wife duo success story, and that's exactly what I found at Duo! I…read morefirst learned about Duo through signing up for a pilates class, and I fell in love with the place more through the people and the vibes in the connected coffeehouse. From a chat with the barista, I learned that Duo started because the husband had a love for coffee and the wife had a passion for pilates, so they thought "why not combine the two?" The River Oaks location is the founding store and they have since expanded to a second location as well. The people who work here truly seem happy and are eager to share the stories of their founders, which makes the place even more special. During my visit, I tried the birthday cake latte, which is a seasonal drink, and the flavors were also beyond what I've tried elsewhere. I'm typically not a fan of birthday cake flavored items, but I was feeling adventurous so I told the barista to surprise me with a drink from their menu and that's the flavor they ended up picking for me. When I received the birthday cake latte, I wasn't all that excited but all prejudice fell away after the first sip! I didn't adjust any sugar or ice levels like I typically do for my drinks, yet the drink was just right! Overall, I am just amazed by the people, the vision, and the gem of a place that I sort of happened into on a random weekend. I will definitely be returning again frequently for pilates, lattes, and/or fun conversations. Pro tip: initially it looks like visitors have to use street parking, but I confirmed with the staff that the parking lot across from the coffeehouse is free to use as well. Pro tip #2: there is option to order ahead with the QR code in image attached. I have not tried, but that may help skip the lines and make it easier for drink pickup. Pro tip#3: going for pilates here makes it so much easier to grab a quick bite or drink before/after workout!

Trendy. There's some outdoor seating and indoor seating. The interior isn't especially spacious, but that's what gives it a cozy vibe. They also have art all over the walls as well as books you can read (take a book/leave a book) and games you can play They can make all the classic espresso and coffee drinks as well as some signature and seasonal drinks. I'm a flat white fan so I knew I had to try that, but I'm a sucker for coconut, so, I tried their coconut latte as well. They have trendy glassware (mugs) for dining in and sustainable recyclable to-go cups The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. There were only a couple staff members working, and it was Halloween so they were dressed up, and they were making sure everyone was well taken care of Pros: I like to eat/drink local and non-chains, and this is a coffee spot that provides quality without and overpriced merch and pretentious nature. They are just a quality experience. For fellow flat white fans, they do it right. It's the proper flat white size, components, and flavor(s). Also, I love pistachio muffins, and theirs is exquisite. Don't be deterred by the vibrant green, it's exceptional. They also serve alcoholic drinks and have a happy hour Monday-Friday 4-7pm. They have signature cocktails, some classics, beer, wine, etc. this is a great place to sit with your coffee and enjoy a good book or to catch up with some friends. They're also pet friendly Cons: It's a cozy spot, but the only thing that might question that is the bars in the windows. Understandably, it's for overnight security, but driving up it doesn't look as cozy until you walk through the door. This would be a great place to work or study, but it is a little cozy for that *Their WiFi is CoffeeTrend password: cutebeans Cheers!!

They use Monin syrups for everything which is fine I guess but my matcha just came green and wasn't in any way attractive in the cup. I'm used to having to mix my oat milk and ingredients into the drink, but that was not necessary here. I tasted the drink and did not like it and since it was so pricey, I tried to just get through it, but I ended up taking it back and getting a lavender limeade refresher which ended up just concentrated lemon juice, water and lavender syrup. The drink was three dollars less than what I originally paid for and they gave it to me as an even exchange so that is kind of annoying as well. The people are nice, but I am not sure this is a coffee shop. I plan to return to.
