Besides their delicious fried chicken there is also other traditional Korean dishes like bibimbop and soups. I tried their Spicy Soy Garlic Wings lunch special, with white rice and a soda. My husband and I decided we wanted Korean food and he saw that a place we liked "U Know Korean" had moved closer to us. Once we realized that the address was the same as Koko Chicken 92, we parked and walked in. The space is not fancy but we were greeted with a friendly hello and told to sit where we wanted. We sat and we were brought menus and water. We ordered a seafood pancake to start. It was packed full of...well seafood. There were nice pieces of octopus, shrimp, calamari and mussels as well scallions. It was delicious and we ended up taking some home. I ordered the chicken bulgogi. Not spicy. It was delicious and had a lot of flavor. My husband had the baby octopus bulgogi - spicy. He loved it and the octopus looked huge and plentiful. We were the only customers there. It was late, so that didn't bother us. Our server - was actually the owner and I asked about the "U Know Korean" confusion I had and he told us that they were the owners, the lease was up and this location was owned by a friend who wanted to leave the business, so he moved there. All in all the food was delicious. The atmosphere was friendly. Pricing was on par with other Korean restaurants. They have a lot of different options, including Korean corndogs and fried chicken. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a nice lady at the counter. She provided us with a menu and we sat wherever we wanted. She assisted us as we decided what to eat. We both went with the Cup Bop Bose with a side of dumplings My Cup Bop Base came with red spicy sauce and my friends came with the original sauce. The original was so good! I'm not sure where to start. I thought we were going to a place called U Know Korea. When we got there, the name on the building was Kokochicken 92 Korean Food. Apparently, the owner of U Know Korea and Kokochicken swaped locations. We had eaten at U Know Korea before it moved from Hollywood. Now it's closer to home. It's all about the food and is it good!! We started with a seafood pancake. It was so good! Then we moved on to our meals. My wife had chicken bulgogi. I got to try it and I was unbelievably good. Me I have this thing for baby octopus, so I had jookumi, spicy baby octopus with vegetables. It was awesomely good. This place is located in a shopping center. As you walk in ur greeted by the host which was extremely pleasant. He explained how to order and explained portion sizes. Only bottled drinks are served. It is a hole in the wall Korean Chicken restaurant that serves its specialty Korean Fried Chicken as well as traditional Korean meals. I came here last Monday night to have dinner with my dad. To say the least we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The tables and chairs are clean and the staff is very welcoming. I loved how the chairs are bright yellow and make you want to sit down and stay for a while. We ordered the "Kook Soon Dang" Rice Sake, Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders and Jochae stir fried potato noodles with beef. The food came out fast, hot and fresh. We also had a side of cut up radishes and fresh kimchi. One thing I will say about Koko Chicken 92 is that it is a great place if you are looking for a place that allows for you to eat great food and have a good time with the people you are with. When I arrived the restaurant was empty and that's never a good sign however this place is set-up more like a takeout restaurant so I think that explains the lack of diners. The quantity and the quality of the chicken was great however the soy garlic sauce left you missing Bonchon (if you've had it). Bonchon is a chain but it's soy garlic sauce is delicious. I also ordered the japchea. The ingredients were on point but the sauce was not right. I recommend this restaurant owner to add more fresh garlic to both of these dishes. When I asked about the flavors, instead of kindly guiding me, they asked, "You don't have the menu in front of you?" I explained I didn't, but they seemed annoyed and rushed through the 10 flavors without a care, then immediately put me on hold. My wife saw this restaurant a couple of days ago and we decided to try it. Went for takeout, I was very warmly received, front of house were very friendly and welcoming. They allowed me plenty of time to study the menu and welcomed all my questions. Decided on the fried chicken which were 5 very large drumsticks, perfectly fried and crispy. I opted for the Bibimbap it was accompanied by the banshan of pickled radish and kimchee among other pickled vegetables. Also got an order of fried pork dumplings. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Definitely a repeat. FYI the chicken is cooked to order so there's approximately 20 minutes wait time from when you place the order.
