After showing the nail techs my nail inspo, they told me to get French tips. I tend to avoid conflict, and I tried more than once to gently explain that I already wear French tips on a regular basis, so I did not want them for my wedding day. I wanted something that felt different and special. The more I asked though, it seemed like the technicians did not actually know how to do the designs I was asking for. That is when it started to click for me that the pushback was less about preference and more about skill level. To make things worse, the techs needed to move on to their next appointment before I was actually happy with my nails, which made the experience feel even more rushed. There was no chance to slow down, talk through options, or really feel cared for. It was far from a spa like experience. I ended up walking out with squared French tips with silver nail polish, which was far from the inspiration pics I showed them. My cuticles were also cut too deep on both my hands and my feet. I paid more to get my nails redone at another salon because of how unhappy I was with how far off my nails were compared to my inspo pics.

My former Lash Tech stopped working there so I decided to try making an appointment with her her younger sister Cindy. The first time was pleasant and her ability to catch up while working swiftly was very admirable. However my lashes didn't stay adhered. Perhaps my hair quality has changed and my current lash texture doesn't like the glue. I came back in 7 days and Cindy fixed it for me and together we agreed to a shorter lash length, changing the diameter and trying a different glue.
