J.Crew's pants don't work for me - never have, probably never will - but I'm a sucker for their sweaters. When I was in grad school I literally lived in their cardis at work. Since that time, most of them have been retired becase my current wardrobe isn't as preptastic as my job required back then. But I do still don the grandpa ones over a sundress on a chilly day! My most recent visit to the J.Crew outlet in Williamsburg resulted in a dress, shirt, AND skirt purchase. I probably only bought the shirt and the skirt because they are both neon pink, and if you know me, then you know my affinity for neon. It's ok, though, I already have plans for the skirt during my trip to Savannah and Hilton Head next week. The dress, on the other hand, is a perfect LBD that you'd never even guess was from J.Crew! The fit is perfect, the style is timeless, and it's so versatile that I can wear it with sandals for a cookout or with heels and some bling for a cocktail party. For real, you should probably go get yourself one, ladies (I'm sure they still have it, I just got it 1.5 weeks ago!). If you're like me and don't love shopping at regular J.Crew stores, but crave classic styles and good quality, then this factory location is a good bet. I never leave empty-handed.

The convenience of having almost anything I need in one place is unbeatable. Whether it's snacks, household items, or a last-minute gift, this store always has it. The staff is friendly and the layout makes it easy to find what I'm looking for. Prices are reasonable, and they often have great deals that keep me coming back. Overall, it's a fantastic place that I feel lucky to have nearby--just maybe a little too close for my wallet! They have the best seasonal finds and greeting cards. Brighton Collectibles... my mom LOVES this place and their products!…read more Brighton is known for their darker silver metals; the semi-tarnished look. They have tons of women's accessories - belts, handbags, makeup cases, wallets, wristlets, shoes, keychains, phone cases, and even sunglasses. They are very popular for their jewelry - rings, bracelets, earrings, charms, and necklaces. The difference with this particular location is that it's the outlet, so the prices are WAY better and discounted compared to the mall and other retail stores. I mean, WAY cheaper. They have a cool discount system...you will find a "key" posted everywhere with different colored hearts on it. Don't quote me, and I will take a pic of it next time I visit, but for example there is the red, black, dark green, and blue, and orange heart. Each item will be marked with a certain colored tag. Each tag will correspond to the colored hearts on the KEY and it will let you know how much "additional percentage" to actually take off of the price of the item. So there were these normally $100 pair of sunglasses, and the tag was marked with dark Green. Dark green on the key = 70% off! I asked just to make sure. So yes, I got $100 pair of sunglasses for $30 ! Awesome! Since it's the outlet, they don't give you the fancy case for the sunglasses but you can get those anywhere. And who says no to 70% off?! The workers here are always very friendly - so very attentive and helpful; excellent customer service. Five stars in this department. The store itself isn't that big, but it does have a lot of merchandise. I know certain styles of jewelry and accessories aren't for everyone, but you should check this place out. I noticed they always have their classic pieces, but are starting to get a lot of more modern items as well. You may find something you like! And if you're a Brighton fan like my mom, you'll go crazy (in a good way) in here!

During my visit, there were about six employees standing among customers, so the store can get crowded quickly. The staff came across as somewhat stern, but it may have just been the holiday fatigue working in retail, so I don't want to judge the service too harshly. I did love how the bags were displayed, and it was great to see that many of the top styles were still in stock.

My mom and I have been shopping at this store for over 15 years and have bought over 20 bags and…read morewallets between the two of us. My mom, more than anyone I know, takes pride in taking care of her things. All of her bags are in like new condition. We visited the store this weekend because two of her bags, which are otherwise in perfect condition, had straps that were starting to rip. One bag is about 8 years old and the other about 4 years old. Neither have been used constantly for this amount of time, but rather for a short seasonal period of time every year. Her other bags, about the same age or older, in this rotation from the Coach and MK outlets are not showing any sign of this problem, while both of her Kate bags are. The manager came out to speak with us, and we were met with condescension. Her response to these bags, which showed no evidence of wear and tear other than the broken straps, was that "they (Kate Spade) haven't had many problems with straps" and that "these bags are old", both of which are non sequiturs. We were literally standing there with a strap problem, so even if it isn't a common problem (which I highly doubt; people probably just buy new ones when this happens), it was her job to help us figure out how to fix it. She said that the quality of Kate Spade products is not a question, while staring directly at two clearly damaged handbags where the damage was not a result of misuse. She further condescended to us that sometimes there are problems with bags when they're left in hot cars, insinuating that these bags, which again showed no other signs of wear or damage, would only be affected by heat on the strap and no where else. With a hand wavy comment, she added that we could try a leather repair store, without any suggestion of where to go. We were extremely disappointed in the service and the quality of the bags, as it seems they are not meant to last more than 3-5 years, even if you take great care of them. Given the price, we would've hoped for much better, and most importantly, we would hope to be treated with respect. We will not be shopping at Kate Spade anymore, and if you're hoping for a bag that lasts and for helpful customer service after you've bought the bag, we recommend you do the same.
