Visit Date: January 14, 2025 So I'm looking for sneakers for my 8 year old and this has turned into such a project lol. I ordered a pair from amazon but they didn't fit, so those got returned. I took my son last night to look for sneakers since online ordering didn't work out. First we were in Freeport, Target had nothing, Sketcher's closed too early, Marshall's and Burlington didn't have much of a selection. So we ended up in Kohl's. I was about to give up at Kohl's. My son can't tie sneakers yet and he was insisting on an aquamarine pair. Close to closing a young sales guy appeared and started to help us. He showed my son different colors similar to aquamarine nothing was a good enough color. Finally he suggested getting a white pair of shoes and painting them with nail polish. I might try acrylic paint. He fitted my son for a white pair of Vans but we couldn't buy them because the registers had already closed. I'm supposed to take my son back on Friday after I get him to Kohl's to actually purchase the shoes. The young salesman's name was Aiden I think. Went to buy a pair of sneakers at Kohls. There was a sign right on top of where I took the sneakers from stating "Under Armour Sneakers on sale for $53.00". I got to the register after waiting on a ridiculously long line for them to be rung up at $88.00. I did not purchase the shoes and walked out. Don't have signs up advertising a certain price if you're not going to sell the item for that price. read more

Be careful when you place an order with Kohl's. I tried to cancel within five minutes and I could not and now I'm stuck paying $8.95 for shipping on things I wanted to pick up in the store. I called them and they would not help out. They would not cancel it and now I'm stuck paying shipping, just giving people the heads up. Be careful. read more

This is the worst Amazon return location. This guy has been helping people for 20 Mins this is ridiculous. The location is ok but the wait time is bad. They need more people. Went to cashier, Maureen, with two items. One was from intimates. The bra did not have a price tag, I told her I thought it was a certain price. She said, "yeah but there's no price". After she told me that two times, I suggested she get someone to get the price. She called via phone for someone from intimates to call a certain number. After 15minutes of her calling, asking another cashier to call via radio and her commiserating with another cashier about "The Kohl's Way"... they can never get someone to help them. How there were three managers there, doing nothing. She asked me, "Well, if you want to wait thirty minutes..you can have it. Are you sure you want it?" I not looking up from my phone, nodded yes. Finally a woman from intimates showed up and called her with the price of the item. All of this took 15 minutes +. Maureen rung up the item and said "well that's it. ". She never apologized for the wait, never was warm or sympathetic. She clearly does not enjoy her job. After I paid, I asked if there was a manager around? She asked, "You want to speak with a manager?" I said yes. She then said, "Why do you want to speak to a manager?" I said, "Why are you asking me why I want to speak to a manager? I'm a customer, it's my choice to ask to speak to one." Okay, okay was her response. I told the manager, Jeff, what transpired. The whole experience had so many things that were just plain wrong. I do a lot of online shopping but, when I do decide to visit a business, I expect people who work there to at least LIKE their job. And if they do not, either quit or fake it..for the customer. read more

Walking inside, Kohl's first impact is upscale, spacious and well appointed. Colorfully designed and brightly appealing, shopping here is a casualty enjoyable respite. The smartly laid out store within store concept here groups each brand's fashions in small separate sections. Walking through, you'll experience each designer's vibe and ideas. The men's and women's clothing can be found on opposite sides of this store. Kohl's also offers a big selection of kitchen and houseware accessories like coffee makers, cookware, small appliances and home assistants. In the back of the store you'll find luggage, bedding, pillows and interior design ideas. I've got my fleece lined denim jacket here a red plaid lumberjack shirt, wife's leppard uggs and her cute Juicy purses and leppard backpack. Not to forget her Nine West Black and Tiger shortie fur jackets. I just love getting cute wifey stuff. I should learn to stay out of there... I ordered underwear online and had it delivered to the store because I didn't feel like doing laundry. I prefer the boxer briefs but trunk style, since I have excellent thighs. When I got to Kohl's of Oceanside I realized it was Black Friday and I was mad because people were crawling around like roaches. When I got to customer service I saw there was a long line and I thought about just going home and wearing a swimsuit for the rest of the weekend. Also some lady in front of me was at the end of the line but about 6 feet away and looking at the greeting cards. So I said, "Excuse me, are you waiting online?" Then she got pissy and said "What does it look like," which is lame because if it looked like she was in line, I wouldn't have said anything. Either way, it's still a yes or no question. Maybe while you're browsing Xmas cards pick out one to mail to yourself because everyone hates you, you old hag. But then, a miracle... I realized the right side of the line was for regular schmucks but the left side was for Online Pickup ONLY - and it was completely empty. So I marched right up and when the clerk asked if I was doing an online pickup, I said "You know it, baby - just like it says on the sign." Even though it wasn't really a sign, it was written on a sheet of notebook paper. They probably throw it out after the holiday rush; I can't imagine Kohl's of Oceanside would store a sheet of notebook paper for 12 months. Also, the Scotch tape looked recent. So while my personal concierge was fetching my 3-pack of boxer briefs, I was free to casually lean against the counter and check my phone, occasionally glancing at those other chumps queued up like a bunch of refugees too poor to afford an internet connection. I tried to make eye-contact with Crabby Lady Hallmark but she was so far at the end of the other line I could barely see her. It reminded me of the ferris wheel scene in The Third Man when Orson Wells says, "Look down there. Would you really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever?" except he was talking about paying to kill people. I like to think she could see ME, though, so I mouthed the words "Online Pickup Only" while pointing to the sign. By now one of the pieces of tape had come off so I was holding one corner up with my other hand. I'd recommend Kohl's of Oceanside splurges and get a better sign, maybe something on cardboard at least. Like they say, "you've got to spend money to make money." I waited maybe three minutes, and for the first time in my life I wish it had been longer. I triumphantly raised my Men's Equipo 3-pk. Brazilian Stretch Trunks like it was The Lion King. I hoped to spike the package in front of Crabby Lady Hallmark on my way out of Kohl's of Oceanside, but it appeared that she - like so many others in her loser line - had succumbed to either starvation or cannibalism. I stepped over the pile of corpses and headed for the door with the confidence of a man who would soon enjoy cottony extra support in the upper thigh region without bunching. When we first walked in, Kevin greeted all customers with a warm Welcome. I proceeded to the back for an Amazon return. Although I was unable to process my return, Jazline gave me a slip with a Kohl's coupon for my purchase. I was able to find 2 items I really like, and was ready to checkout. Although the checkout line was really long, it went by very fast! Rosemary was my cashier and she asked me if I had a Kohl's rewards account, I told her I didn't but was not interested in enrolling in one today. I love that she asked me though! Used to love shopping here as I live nearby. I had not shopped there for quite some time. Recently in the last month I have been there 3 times. Each time I needed assistance. I could not believe how rude and dismissive each associate was. First time it was the associate in the Mens dept whom I asked to help me with "mens ties". Second was the associate at customer service who's help I asked for with a store discount. Third time was one of the actual store managers whose name was "Christine" or "Kristin"(not quite sure of spelling). Again all I was looking for was assistance in locating an item in hosiery. I was sent to her by the floor staff... Her attitude was so rude and unhelpful and I realized the reason for the rest of the unhelpful floor staff. Its the management that set the tone. The bottom line and overall tone of the Oceanside Kohls is "don't bother me and go find it yourself"! They also actually raise their voices at you!! Each time I never made an issue of their rudeness. I just acted as if I did not notice. Made my purchase and left. But I will never enter a Kohls store again. read more

I have recently went to this kohl's location is oceanside ny.This town is one of my favorite vacations to go to.This kohl's is not one of them.I wait outside for my facebook buddies so we can all buy some matching pants to post to our facebook group.We all go inside and one of the other shoppers had there mask a little to low for our liking.We had confronted her and said "Mask up we're in a pandemic" She had said "Mind your own business Karen".I was confused and in shock and she knew my name.Anyways we had found the Women size 3x Cause i had recently ate at the gorgeous outback stake house and filled my stomach a little to much.The point of this review was the selection of these pants.I finally found one gorgeous white pants size 3x and saw that it was machine washable.Guess what it wasn't.So next morning i had wash the pants the get the covid-19 off it and it had shrunk the a size to small for my big self.I was so mad cause my brunch with the buds were ruined. I didn't let them ruin my day so i squeezed my self into them. After the brunch at 7 eleven We were heading to the van and my pants ripped u could of saw everything luckily i always kept a spare of pants in my bag.I went to go rerun the pants they said that it not there fault and they wouldn't give a full refund.I was astonished by this service and they shouod all be ashamed off themselves. read more

Nice kohl's thats well stocked. I enjoy shopping at this location since the one in Rego Park closed. It's far from me but it's not a bad drive. Staff here is very nice and cool. I'm usually in and out I don't walk around and badger the staff with dumb questions a 4 year old could answer unlike other customers shop here who seem to be very entitled and rude. I use to live like 10 min from this location and I know that the local customers have absolutely no class their rude and entitled. I wish someone would try me like they try the cashiers here they'll get what their asking for. read more

I'm very disappointed with this location in regards to the "Order Online - Pickup in Store". I ordered a Keurig machine last night and was able to pick it up the next morning. When I got it home, it looked like it was a return. The seal on the box was open and when I looked on the inside, the protective foam bag used for protecting the machine was stuffed to the side of the box. Not only this, but it was missing the top part of the reusable KCup and there were no instructions in the box. I drove back to the store and tried to see if there was another one in the same color (black, pretty standard) - nothing. So did whomever pulled my item for pickup find a black one either in the returns or did not report that the machine *I* picked up was already open? What if I was driving from somewhere far to specifically get that Keurig at the Oceanside store? Should I be calm and not be upset? Apparently the customer service representative at the Oceanside store believes I should have been calm. This was not the first instance that I have purchased online and picked up in store at this location. During Christmas, I purchased a few ornament storage boxes that were on sale. When I brought the products home, some storage boxes had either missing latches or were just broken all together. Not only were they faulty, the tops were chipped and were missing the protective covering as if they were returns. Due to the fact it was the holidays, I didn't want to stand in that horrendous line for customer service so I just duct taped it and let it be. I'm not sure if it is policy with this store or if I'm just a naive consumer - but is it *common* to restock returns and use them to fill the floor stock or online orders in hopes someone will not say anything and just be content with it? Word of caution to those who do the "order online/pick up in store" with Kohls or any other store: Inspect your purchases carefully before you accept taking it home. read more

All of a sudden this place doesn't sell Men's dress/business shoes. You can buy suits, ties, shirts, belts, socks... just not shoes anymore. There is a really disappointingly empty clearance corner where mens shoes should be though. read more

So I get it this place can be a total mess during the holidays and the cash wrap is NEVER fast but I really enjoy this location. The people are friendly and the layout is simple. (Only one floor.) Although Massapequa is the corp store and HUGE-- I totally get lost walking in circles and as a lady with a shopping problem the one floor concept is ideal. I won't get distracted-- no promises. Parking is easy since the grocery store closed and the lot is big enough to accommodate the entire shopping center. My favorite brands to shop for are Vera Wang, Levi's, Juicy (I demand to bring back the tracksuit!), JLO, and Candies. The clearance is insane and that's really what keeps me coming in. The accessories: scarves, slippers, gloves, hats are really good materials and cheap! During the holidays they carry little fun gifts that you would normally find in Spencer's. So if you need a quick grab and go-- this is perfect. read more

This is my favorite Kohl's store. It is nice enough yet still down to earth and usually provides an enjoyable shopping experience. Some Kohl's are not in the greatest area and shopping there can be no fun. Others think they are the Bloomigdales of Kohl's stores and come off highly pretentious. So I like this store. Staff are usually very helpful and friendly - except once - but I never saw that lady again. They take back like anything - for any reason - even without a reason. Parking is convenient and they have other stores like Waldbaum's & Michael's & Bed, Bath, an Beyond & Pet Supplies Plus in the same shopping lot. Amazing clearence and sales deals - and coupons too!!! My go to Kohl's! read more

I normally don't shop at Kohls but i've been to many different Kohl's with friends and my mom and I must say this is the best Kohl's i've been to. It relatively organized, clean and bright. Great for appliances. I returned a Krups single serve coffee maker 1 yr later because it stopped working. Returned a Mr. Coffee because this particular model kept spilling. They had a woman in the front making sure that people got on the correct line. Today, the Saturday before Christmas, was not too unpleasant despite the crowd. We were on vacation and my wife forgot to pack some comfortable clothes. So, we found this Kohl's near where we were staying and got more than we bargained for. My wife found all the items she needed and we received great service from a Kohl's team member named Kevin. I forgot to go online and if I find the receipt I will but did not want his great customer service go un noticed. My online order was ready for pickup within 3 hours which was great.... but the customer service at this location was horrendous. First of all, I couldn't find the customer service department so I went to the front and the cashier rudely told me to go to the back. I get there and as I'm waiting on line, the customer service rep was training a new woman behind the counter. She was so rude to this new employee that I felt so uncomfortable for her. I actually wanted to say something but I kept my mouth shut. I finally looked over to the customer next to me and said "omg, she's so nasty I can't even believe what I'm seeing!" She agreed with me and told me that customer service rep was so nasty to her for accidentally buying two pairs of gloves online instead of 1. She literally rolled her eyes at her! I am appalled that Kohl's, one of my favorite stores, would employee such a nasty nasty person, for their customer service department no less! I wish I got her name but I just wanted to get out of there because I was embarrassed for the other employees behind the counter! I will make my way over to the Massapequa store instead, I've never had an issue at that location. read more

Went to Kohl's to return a shirt in exchange for store credit; upon entering the store, the store greeter didn't say a word, just stared at me and my cousin. We walked to the customer service and browsed through a few items before we reached the back and we were being followed as if we were trying to steal something. After exchanging the shirt, we went to the cosmetics section and was greeted by Betty, she was very helpful and nice. She's the only person who made our experience pleasant. Unless I'm buying cosmetics, I don't think I'd return to this store. read more

Usually a good store but I have found that the idiots have left their village and have found a new home recently. I bought close to $400 worth of items there yesterday and they neglected to bag 3 items that I purchased. I called to see if they were bagged and maybe left behind and the customer service lady asked me did you pay for all these items? The manager gets on and starts yelling over the phone that he is understaffed and can't help me over the phone. If I get there though and wait in line at customer service they can definitely help me. My receipt had the time and register and items marked on it. I then asked could the bag have been set aside and the response was that it was probably given to the next customer because it happens all the time. So Merry Christmas to that person. The kohls in oceanside,Ny is terrible. The associate gave me a hard time about an even exchange as advertised on their website. It was a hassle, they were rude. I called the manager afterwords, she didn't care. Told me "she could lower my item price,not raise it." What does that even mean? I simply wanted to do an even exchange. How is that so difficult? Same original price - that is what their online policy reads. As a manager myself, I was very dissapointed in their lack of empathy, and their lack of care for the customer service experience. I love this store for its convenience and great deals. A couple of weeks ago I had to make a return. The lady behind the customer service was so rude and yelled at me because she said I did not let her finish talking. She was so rude that I just could not believe my ears. I misunderstood what she said and she just continued bring rude withl the worst attitude I have ever experienced in a retail store. I know I should have spoke to a manager but I was afraid to because I do not want to get anyone fired. The customer service employees need retraining!!!! read more

If I could give this store ZERO stars, I would simply do it for the makeup dept alone. My 6 yr old niece and I were waiting for my mother to pay for items at the front registers. As we waited, I took my niece to the makeup section and she asked if she could hold the tester makeup brush and brush it against her hand. It was a tester so I didn't think it was a big deal. And it wasn't like she was opening up real makeup boxes and ruining valuable products. As I looked away for a few seconds to see where my mother was on line, the makeup worker walked up to my niece and grabbed the brush out of her hand without even saying one word! HOW RUDE! My niece was so stunned she didn't even know what to say. I walked over to my niece and without addressing the lady, I clearly stated LOUDLY.. it's ok for you to take another brush as long as it's a tester. We are the customer. Don't let anyone treat you like that without even telling you if you're doing something wrong. I stared at the worker and she didn't say one word. Maybe if she addressed my niece politely that it's not a toy, maybe that would have made a difference. But to be physically nasty to a 6 yr old.... Well, you can bet I will tell all my friends this story and I will never shop there again. read more

Over the years the store was open, we'd shop there for tee and polo shirts, casual clothing, bathing suits and on occasion small appliances like a coffee maker [which was so poorly made we returned it the same day of purchase], household items, etc. We liked their Kohl's dollars. The last time we were in the store, my wife bought a number of items and with the Kohl's dollars discount the net tab was nearly $100. She decided to return an item so we went back to the store for a refund. Because of store policy, we were charged back for the use of the Kohl's dollars so we did not get a full refund despite the balance of the remaining purchase was well over $50 and still qualified for the full Kohl's dollars discount. We spoke to the store manager and he said, that's store policy. Well Kohl's, our policy is to shop elsewhere. read more
