Had a great experience with an online order. Ordered it in the morning and it was ready to pick-up in-store later that same day. They sent me a notice via email saying my order was ready with a bin number and all ai had to do was go in and grab it. So fast and easy!!! The selection was the website since if they did not have it in-store I could have had it shipped. They always have a great selection with great prices! Went in to Kohls with a friend and ran into another friend. Our friend continued to work while we lightly conversed with her. The manager(Michelle) approached us and asked if we were friends in a very rude tone. She then very rudely said that our friend needed to continue working. We were very displeased by this comment because our friend never stopped working. But out of respect me and my friend continued shopping and went our own way. Michelle followed us from a distance. My friend then approached us telling her manager Michelle had asked for us to leave through the employee walkie talkie. Mind you I was purchasing items that I had in my hands already the first time she approached us. Again out of respect we headed to check out and didn't continue our Christmas shopping. While checking out Michelle appeared behind the register. We felt untrusted and quite frankly disrespected and disappointed in who Kohls chooses as managers. Kohl's continues to engage in deceptive business practices. I attempted to purchase a shirt on an endcap where they were all displayed as %30 off price $41.65. The shirt I picked was in a stack of the same brand but rang up at the register as $48.00. The manager tried to say it was priced more than the others. They make you believe all the same brand shirts are one price only to mark them up at the register. I really don't know why I shop there. How many other unsuspecting customers are getting ripped off. I don't regularly shop at Kohl's. I find their pricing, coupons, Kohl's cash, etc maddening. I believe everyone should receive the best price, not just the person who clips coupons! I really am not a fan of their merchandise. That said I was shopping for five year olds and knew that Kohl's carries a large selection of licensed character pajamas. Score. They had lots! I made my way out with Minnie Mouse pajamas, Spiderman pajamas, and a couple of toys. While I was walking to the cashier I googled "Kohl's coupon" on my iphone. The cashier scanned the coupon and I actually did get another $9-$10 off my purchase. Buh bye. I'll be back hopefully never! read more

I bought a pair of earrings on black Friday along with some other items. I received $30 in kohls cash. The earrings were regular price of $105 and were 70% off so a great deal. Until I got home and the post on one was completely bent. Returned to the store Sunday and picked out another pair that was $125 regular price and now their sale was 60% off. All I wanted was to exchange the defective pair for the new pair and pay the difference but the clerk refused to do this. Instead she broke the transaction in two and returned my orginal pair and rang up the new pair. Why? So they could take back $15 of my kohls cash and not give me as good of a discount on the new pair. What crap!! I just got my money back and will be returning the items I purchased and I won't be back. The greed and lack of customer service is appalling. read more

Absolutely incredible service! We first entered the Kohls store in O'Fallon to return some items we had previously bought. Andrew (store manager I believe) and another staff member (can't remember her name) were so helpful, talkative, and personable. As my wife and I walked around and continued shopping, another staff member walked up and complimented my shirt I was wearing. We then started a conversation about the record label logo that was on my shirt - great conversation. Then, as we were checking out, this sweet lady rang us up and we forgot to ask if she would run the 20% off coupon. After she rang us up, my wife mentioned it and the lady was so sweet and patient and called over the manager, Andrew. Andrew obviously remembered us from 2 hours ago and mentioned that the staff has enjoyed having us in their store. He handled our problem generously and told us to have a great night and to visit again soon (which we will). In conclusion, the store off of Hwy K is doing an amazing job making customers feel welcomed and appreciated. Keep it up. I love great customer service and I love kind people! Thank you. read more

UGH. KOHL'S COULD YOU SUCK ANY MORE? Can I please give a 0 star rating? So, yesterday, I needed slippers for the hospital. I was literally 40 weeks pregnant, to the day. Walking around a department store is the last thing I want to be doing, but I needed these damn slippers. Target was a no-go and I just didn't feel like dealing with Wal Mart. So, Kohl's it is. After several attempts at trying to locate someone actually employed by Kohl's, my husband (who, as you may remember, LOVES Kohl's...traitor) flagged someone down. We ask her if they have slippers at which point she says "No. Only during Christmas. Sorry." and walks away. Flames...FLAMES on the sides of my face (and totally disappointed that I won't have any acceptable footwear for the hospital) my husband and I start to leave the store before I begin to throw things. Which is exactly when he and I almost run into a huge display of...SLIPPERS. No, not like a few leftover pairs from Christmas or a couple of mismatched pairs in odd sizes. No. An ENTIRE RACK full of LOTS of different kinds of slippers. I found a perfect pair (well, as perfect as slippers can be for someone who is not 75 years old) and proudly take them up to the register. I wanted to find the idiot woman and orient her to the slipper section, but I was in a huge hurry to get out of there. Ugh. FAIL times a million. read more

Kohls is one of the regular places I shop. They have great prices and a wide selection of merchandise. This one however seems to be a little better in terms of having sizes and stock available (at least that day). I was impressed that I could fly through this store and grab and go. The downfall is their bra section. I got so frustrated trying to find something in my size that I finally just left with a selection I normally would never buy, but needed something now. I don't normally shop for bras in department stores, so I can't rate too low for this since I don't have much to compare to, but if this is how it normally is, I would never do it again. read more

Love Kohls. Never had a bad shopping experience at Kohls and the staff are always friendly. They have a great return policy even if you don't have a receipt. If you purchased the item on your Kohls card, Kohls can even look up your purchase so you are given the correct purchase price. They always have a great selection and new items all the time. Apparently the people who work in the store can not understand properly spoken English and keep asking you to repeat what you said for every small thing. The staff who work here barely listen to you and assume that you are saying something which you haven't. This is one of the worst stores ever and after being here I stopped going to Kohl's anywhere else too. I would give it Zero stars if I could. As a former employee I had to laugh! When you are over-worked, under-payed, and unappreciated you are more apt to treat others with the same disregard that you feel is extended to you by your employer. It's a lesson that continues to elude the company. I am sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience while pregnant. But I'm not surprised. I'm going to guess that your husband asked the salesperson and if so she was correct, they only carry mens slippers during x-mas. However, if the work environment at Kohls supported customer service by allocating more money to the stores for proper coverage and training, she would more than likely have had the time and focus to ask specific questions to help you out. I've worked for other retailers that understand that the customer really does come before any task and if a task isn't completed because you are helping customers there has not been any negative effects( such as having your hours cut) But Kohls is a task-driven environment, not a customer service environment. When I began we were told that the company's goal was to be a self-serve store. That the product is readily available in every size and color so that the customer does not need an associates help. Now they are attempting to be more customer service friendly but without additional payroll or support. The expectations from management are higher than ever with little to no recognition or appreciation. Not a very motivating fact when you're paid as little as $8/hr. Most new employees are customers that love shopping there and are looking for a little extra cash and the discount. They are not idiots (ok, some are) they just become complacent when they find out what Kohl's is about behind the scenes. I don't want to see the company fail, especially with the struggling economy, but i can't help wonder how long it will be before the lack of payroll and training truly hurts the company. They're still opening new stores including one in Rolla so it may be a while before they wake up to what many employees have been complaining about- the desperate need for more payroll to staff the existing stores. read more

What can I say about the O'Fallon Kohls? It's your typical Kohls with a decent inventory. I can't hate on all the deals and they do a good job zoning the place. I wish they had more fitting rooms on Wednesdays but it's not their fault all the little old ladies come out for the senior discount. (But seriously, wait to shop till after 8 on Wednesday because the older crowd will be in bed and the store is open till 11). I only shop here if I get a coupon in the mail because one should never pay full price at Kohls and it's a great place to stock up on jeans and my low-level government job's clothing supply. read more

UNBELIEVABLE experience. I have never had any problems at ANY store until today. I went in to pay my Kohl's charge and pick up an online order. They couldn't tell me how much my Kohl's charge account was but wanted me to pay the amount while I was in the store. I was all for paying what I owed, I just simply wanted to know how much I owe. Since they couldn't tell me how much I owe, they directed me to a phone to call a 1-800 number which took me through multiple operators. As I was on the phone the manager told me he didn't have my pick up order. I was so frustrated I hung up the phone, grabbed my purse and left. They couldn't tell me how much my bill was, couldn't find my pick up order and couldn't help me pay my bill. FOR HEAVENS SAKE ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS GIVE THEM MONEY AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT!!!! Worst experience ever. Once I got home, I called the 1-800 number, they were able to tell me the amount and I easily paid my bill over the phone. Don't even mess with this store. PLEASE use any other Kohl's. Oh, and if you have any questions about your Kohl's charge card, don't bother asking the store, just call the 1-800 number and those people were very polite and helpful. read more

I love Kohls. This location seems to have everything I want. They always have great selection and good prices. They send out a ton of coupons in the mail all the time. I like seeing what the regular price was on an item I buy and then seeing how much I'm actually saving and paying less. It feels good knowing I'm getting a high-quality product for a very affordable price. I will say that one time two of the women in the men's apparel we're sort of rude to me. I asked if they could give me their opinion on whether or not what I was buying for my husband matched well for a wedding we were going to attend and they just kind of looked at me and said you know I don't really know that's not our job. Outside of that I've always had good customer service from the people at the cashier stands and the customer service area. I hear they give really great discounts to the employees especially during the holidays. I see some people have left some bad reviews for this particular location but in my opinion I think it's a good spot. Yay Kohl's. read more

Placed an order for a men's watch on line and chose in store pick up at this location. After 24hrs of no communication from Kohl's I went to the store to check on my order and was told they had no record of and that they did not even have the item in stock. After speaking with a store manager and they could not locate my order however the charge cleared my bank. I was told to call Kohl's customer service who was less than helpful telling me there was nothing the could do. I had to call multiple times to get some who spoke English clear enough to even understand them-call center is in the Dominican Republic. I was finally able to get them to say after 7 days of not picking up the order they would credit my card. They took my money in seconds and I have to wait 7 or more days to get it back when they failed to process the order properly and for an item that was allegedly in stock at the store that was actually not in stock when o checked with the store directly. It's beyond frustrating and ridiculous that they can take my money immediately then refuse to give it back immediately when they can't fulfill their part of the transaction. It's a fraudulent practice if you ask me. read more
