This is my first visit to the Kohl's in Napa. I'm more familiar with the Kohls over on Admiral Callaghan. As usual I focus on the kitchen area. Overall, I like this store better. Maybe it's store management, maybe it's just a better time of the year but I saw more inventory and I liked more of it. I might have purchased it if only i needed it. As is, my kitchen is reasonably stocked so it was just a fun window shopping experience. read more

My friend had an item to return so we stopped in and while she was taking care of that, I did some wandering. The store is in very good shape with full displays of lots of merchandise. It's all nicely fluffed and folded. Prices were mostly easy to find with lots of discounts though many items were definitely not cheap. There also did not seem to be enough checkouts available today. 3-26-22 Driving from Sacramento to Napa we didn't see any rest stations. It was close to a 2 hour drive and I wanted hubs to stop to stretch his legs. The more I thought about it I wanted to find a restroom. Then heaven forbid... oh oh, I seriously needed to locate the LUa( toilet) and pronto. We decided to exit the route and enter this town. We drove further in and finally I recognized the department store, Kohls. Quick hubs!!! Pull in!*#!!! Fortunately a register was right by the door. I asked the first available employee, where's the closest restroom? She told me and pointed to the left way in the far corner. Oh no, walk briskly... just in the nick of time!!! Relief! As we proceeded to retrace our steps I saw childrens swim wear. I told hubs I wanted to check the clearance racks since it was so hot and I had brought and was wearing heavier 40 degree weather clothing, at the moment. Shucks, couldn't find anything in my size but believe me, I certainly do thank our lucky stars that Kohls was at the right place at my most urgent time. read more

Prices are always up and down, when they have a sale they usually Jack the prices up. Unless you have a coupon or kohl's cash, (which you need the card and spend money to get kohl's cash) its overpriced. But that being said they do sometimes have a ok deal or sale. They also do have a big and tall for men, not a huge selection but one of the few stores that do. And of a catch an ad sometimes a good sale. Hard to give the place a 5 star with prices jumping all over the place, and the dust on some of the shelves, specially around the shoes. Come on, dust bunnies, it hasn't been dusted in months. And can't do a 1 star cause they do have big and tall but watch the brands cause some say 3x , and it's really a lg, or 2x. And possibly shorter if your 6 foot or taller like myself. read more

This is one sexy Kohl's. Did I just use "sexy" and "Kohl's" in the same sentence? I sure did. Let me explain. This is downtown Napa, so the whole area is lovely for a stroll. Does your local Kohl's have a river running next to it and stone bridges connecting it to the main street? This Kohl's does! On the inside, the standard price signs have all been replaced by LCD's. Welcome to the future! Hardly what I'd expect for Napa, but somebody who works here apparently appreciates the value of technology. So why just an A-OK rating? Well despite its flair, this Kohl's is slightly lacking in substance. This is the smallest location on the west coast, according to one store associate who seemed knowledgeable (who also looked and sounded like Taylor Swift, yeeow!). Selection in certain departments is limited. We came in trying to find a hat for the missus, and that section was smaller than other locations we've been to (which themselves don't have a great selection of hats either). The majority of the store is well-organized and they carry of lot of the regional brand Sonoma. If Kohl's is your thing, this isn't a bad place to check out on your walk downtown! read more

We parked in the public parking lot off Main St and needed to use the bathrooms. Saw the new Kohl's open so we went in. I read this used to be an old Mervyn's. We didn't have a lot of time here, but we found some stuff to buy. I got 2 shirts 80% off. One reg price $36 marked down $7.20 & the other reg price $36 marked down to $10.80. B. got Buy 1 Get other 1/2 price mens dress shirt $36 + $18 One sweater on sale for $27.80 Subtotal $99.80 Tax in Napa only 8.75%!!! $8.73 Total $108.53 Credit cards taken. read more

For the most part I have no issue with Kohl's or their merchandise. I'm writing this post about the jewelry they sell. The majority of it is "costume jewelry", i.e., not made to last, not made from 'solid' materials like 14k gold or Sterling Silver. Because I prefer to spend my money on better quality items I *only purchase their "Sterling Silver" pieces. Let me regress a moment and say that I'll never even look at their gold gemstone or diamond jewelry for a couple of reasons. 1. I learned years ago that if you want nice jewelry, you go to a jewelry store. Period. And, 2. The one time I did ask to see a ring out of the fine jewelry cabinet the stone came flying out if it before I'd even touched it! So, No Thank You! Recently I bought a pair of "Sterling Silver" hoop earrings. I believe the price on the card they were attached to showed the price to be $50 (but everyone should know that you never, ever pay full price at Kohl's!). I'd say I paid ~$20. I wore them one day and took them out since they were bigger than I normally wear and didn't want to snag them in my sleep. The next time I went to wear them, just days later, the stem came off the hoop!! Seriously poor quality. I went to return them and while the jewelry department associate was inspecting them she noted that they did not have the .925SS stamp that ALL Sterling Silver jewelry has. Further, I noticed that the stem was already discolored! If nothing on the earring is SS, the stem absolutely should be! I'm seriously disgusted by this. If you're selling jewelry and claiming it's SS, they should be stamped as such and should not be turning colors within days of purchase! Never mind that the SS jewelry is half again as much as the costume jewelry, if not more. Stick to clothing and housewares when shopping here. Their jewelry is a joke and I wont be fooled again! read more

I had a return to make from an online order, and had a seamless experience return: they refunded the money on my credit card, no hassles and also gave me the Kohl's cash. There is not a Kohl's near my house and I miss it ... it's one of those department stores that sells a little bit of everything. Their customer service was excellent, not crowded at all, and when i I wanted to try a sweater on, learned that Napa has a COVID laws stipulating that no dressing rooms are allowed. I bought it anyway. Free parking lot and easy access. Very cool that this is smack dab in the middle of NAPA! read more

I had the worse experience here. Bought an item that had a large rebate and the receipt was all blurry so I couldn't read the info for the rebate. Went back and requested a new copy and after a 45 minute wait was told it would take 30 minutes to look it up and print. Told them I would pick it up the following day. Next day, after another 45 minute wait was waited on by the rudest "manager" I've ever encountered. Instead of asking how she could help me she started firing questions at me. I finally told her to be quiet and listen to what I needed, which was just to pick up my the receipt and she snapped, "she was busy". Bottom line, I'll never step foot in Napa Kohl's again. Talked to 3 different "managers" and they were all less than helpful. No way to run a business! read more

In midst of this small town in Napa CA we find a Kohl's Hallelujah! We don't have to drive to a mall to shop for clearance and for sale items. We found Kohl's hidden behind some trees as if it was being hidden from us. Bontique's are expensive and nice out here but I can't afford their stuff. However, we found Kohl's and I always get their discounts on my e-mail so that worked out. My husband was able to buy work out clothes and trunks, and I got myself two new bottoms. A pair of red shorts and blue mini skirt total of $12 for me. It was a bargain and I loved it. I totally appreciate a Kohl's where ever I go because it's affordable clothing! read more

My Yelp reviews are all based on my opinion as an ethical vegan. But in addition to that I feel strongly that every time I walk into a store, I am voting with my wallet. I use a guide called The Better World Shopping Guide to help me make good decisions on where and how to spend my hard earned dollars. The Guide grades companies from an excellent A+ to a failing F just like when we were in grade school. Their grading system is based on human rights, environment, animal protection, community involvement & social justice. All things that I care about! There is no doubt that living my life like this is sometimes inconvenient. And unfortunately I sometimes have to compromise because there are no other choices. However, I was just plain lazy this time. I needed some new panties and socks and instead of finding something online made with organic cotton that has been ethically sourced I made the easy choice. The staff though clearly uninterested were all still pleasant enough to me. Though incredibly disorganized, I found what I came for. My purchase was rung up incorrectly so I did have to go back in and go to the customer service desk to resolve it. After a very short wait she resolved it quickly & efficiently. But frankly there was nothing about being in that store that made me feel good about my choices. Not only is Kohl's rated an abysmal D- but I give myself a big fat failing F for not standing up for what is important to me. I am returning those panties and that will be the last time I ever visit a Kohl's! read more

Kohl's is the newest Napa hangout. There's Justin Bieber cologne, Kim Kardashian perfume, GLEE and Food Network (http://www.foodtv.com) calendars, and lacy lingerie. Clean setup, nice displays, but couldn't find what I was looking for... baby boy PJ's / sleepers!! There was tons of girly stuff, but none for boys. They had some Christmas themed stuff & fleece fabric, but where's the cotton ones? Carter's makes them and of all the Carter's brand here, NONE were cotton, boy's colors, in the size I needed :( Oh well, gotta check the mall or outlets when I'm back home. read more

I went in to grab a couple of shirts and the older lady working the register near the jewelry on July 9th at 3:45pm was extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not acknowledge me when she took my items, and only spoke to me to try and sell me a kohl's card. My items were $20 and 48cents and I gave her $21.00 and she pressed exact change. She called a manager over for a void transaction because she couldn't do simple math and give me back .52 cents which I pointed out was what she owed me, and I wasn't sure why she needed a manager or a void. This store is clean great for getting clothes on the inexpensive side since they offer great sales throughout the year. Kohls is located in the down town area of Napa adjacent to coffee shops, restaurants and other small business. This location haves two separate private parking lots for your convenience. My only complain would be customer service, you will get no help at all in this store be prepare to not see an employee till check out. Over all I do recommend this Kohls they carry great brands like Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez to name a few. Enjoy walking through the large store for your house needs, shoes, make-up, jewelry or a little gift for yourself. read more

I love this store. There is a large selection of things and I could spend hours looking through everything. I like the fact that the employees at this store don't really hassle you like at other stores. I'm a low maintenance kind of gal so I don't really need help finding anything. I just like to be left alone and shop for myself. I notice the reviews on here are pretty negative regarding customer service, but I've never had a problem with that. As for the line to check out, they are not that long. You're in Napa, long lines and traffic are the norm here so get used to it. read more

I ordered a dress online and had it shipped to the store. I went to pick it up and after the rep scanned my email with the confirmation barcode she tore open my package instead of giving it to me. She threw away the packaging in the garbage then held the dress up high so everyone in line behind me could see and said Is this what you ordered? I was like Um yeah but I didn't want you to open it, I wanted to take it home and open it in private and try it on. I said can you please give me the plastic bag you just threw away that it came in? She said no it's store policy we throw it away but you can buy a bag for 10 cents. I was really shocked and honestly in disbelief. I said no and stuffed it in my purse and left. Seriously Kohl's? Surely y'all don't allow your stores to treat paying customers this way. What if I had ordered panties or bras and she held them up in front of everyone and then I had to carry those out without a bag? Wouldn't you agree that items such as those or really anything for that matter should be opened in the privacy of customers' homes? I was so humiliated tonight that I honestly can't ever go back to that store. You just lost a longtime customer over this. read more

BEWARE of the fine print on the REFUND policy!!!!! If you purchase something over $50 and receive a $10 coupon, then if you need to return the original item you bought because it is DEFECTED, they WON'T give you a FULL REFUND because they say that you received a $10 cash coupon, EVEN if you have not used this "coupon" that they gave you. They will still deduct $10 when giving you a refund. Basically, if you are unhappy with an item and return it the next day with a receipt and all tags attached, Kohl's will steal $10 from you! They think they are doing you a nice favor by giving you the coupon to begin with but it's a trap so that you will lose money if you try to return anything. I think that's a total scam - I smell a lawsuit in the future! Some of the staff here are not very customer service oriented. read more

Yesterday I visited the Kohl's Napa CA store and had three items to pay for One of the items was a pair of Levi 501's that were in the clearance section in the men's department with a price tag of $27.99. When I went to pay for my items the sales clerk told me the Levi's were marked wrong and pulled the price off that they were marked. I said I pulled them off the clearance section and it was not my fault their employees marked them lower. The sales clerk said he could not sell the pants to me for the sale price. This was very rude making me feel like I switched the price, when they said we don't know who put the price on the pants. I shop at this store often and it is going very down hill. The store is cluttered, merchandise mixed just wherever, shoes box tops taken off for clearance, but prices not marked. The store is very disorganized and dirty. Sales clerks can never help you or know anything when you ask a simple question. Wonder why there are hardly customers at this store, the customer service is lacking and store needs a make over. I am very dissatisfied with the way my purchase was handled. Please consider getting better management at the Napa CA location and sales clerks. Also clearance items are marked more than when the items were on sale. Price for one item varied with the same item. This store needs to improvement or close down. read more

I don't hate this place. Maybe I should, but I just don't. I grew up going to this particular building since it was Mervyns and I have to say visually it is sooo much better now that it is Kohls. Even the bathrooms are nicer. I have come here a couple times with my mom who absolutely loves the sales and discounts she always gets here. I think my only consistent issue here is the service, I feel like I spend more time waiting to pay then looking for things to buy. Now if the store was crowded and it was xmas sales then I would totally understand that being an issue, but I swear it seems like it is kind of dead everytime I have gone. Also, sometimes the people who work there aren't too friendly, but maybe I just catch them on a bad day. read more

I come to this store every so often and it is never a pleasant experience. This time today just topped it off for me. I was cashing in on a sale that was 5 items for $21. Everything was great until I got to the cashier. The cashier (who is a minor so will remain unknown) noticed that a fragrance I chose to purchase wasn't in the box that it came in and gave the item to me 50% OFF, which was great! But then she failed to mention that my 3 of my 5 items were no eligible for the $21 deal, until after the transaction. I asked if I could void that transaction and purchase all other items aside from that. She didn't have the authorization to do so and called for her manager. The cashier called for her on the loud speakers 4 times. Then, the store manager on duty by the name of Misty wattles up. She began by complaining about having to walk across the store to void the purchase. (THAT'S YOUR JOB.) Then she yells as the cashier gal for giving me 50% off without her permission. Misty then tells me that she is overriding the half off promise, because she could go and find me a box somewhere in the back. I was beyond offended by the miscommunication and lack of managerial skills by Misty and mostly offended by her terrible customer service. I was told I was to get 50% off. I didn't get the 50% off or the 5 for $21 deal, because of the manager Misty. And to really top it off the one item that I did purchase was missing a article of clothing. ATTENTION TO DETAIL KOHL'S STAFF! THANKS FOR WAISTING MY TIME! End of story. The customer is always right? lol not at this place... Deserves ZERO stars. read more

Good morning, I went to Kohl's yesterday, purchased a darling pair of hard sole slippers (purple) a brand you could find at Macys', they where on sale for a great price. Kohl's has great sales!! I've lived in Napa for "many" years, I started shopping at Kohl's when Mervyns closed down, so I've been shopping there for years. I thought about my last comment/review regarding Kohl's, so I spoke with a few of the employees regarding my opinion of the supervisors, they corrected me said I should reconsider my review from 11/10, that I need to be more direct so; the employees work "HARD", other than the one female supervisor, the others are nice and work well with the employees. I had a gift card, and I generally love Kohl's, so I was excited to use it. One word can describe this store: unorganized. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way things are set up, unfolded clothes are strewn about everywhere, and things are oftentimes just left laying about in other sections. The only thing i don't like about this store is they NEVER have the cute things that are online and when they do the sizes start at like 13. The clearance sections are only plus sizes. I requested help in the ladies intimates and I had to ask three times. The woman at the jewelry counter was trying to be helpful by asking over loud speaker and because of her you get two stars. To make a long story short, no one ever came. You lost a sale. To top it off three employees were just standing around talking in the front of the check out and woman's dept. If you dont like your job or what your doing find something else sweetie cuz she was just rude usually all the employees at Kohls that I have had our all nice and helpful and I love Kohls I shop there a lot but this lady just seemed to hate her job or something I won't stop shopping there because of this miserable lady but she needs to be let go or have better customer service . read more
