Small selection, but nicely curated. The sales associates are also very nice. Worth the visit!

What a pleasant discovery!…read more My husband and I were wandering around town and stumbled across this lovely store. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by the owners. The hats are BEAUTIFUL and the Alpaca collection had a bespoke feel to them. I saw a beautiful Alpaca coat. The make and quality was great and, because it was Alpaca, it was warm but not heavy. I walked away (not wanting to be impulsive) but it didn't take long - maybe 5 minutes - before I made my way back for the coat. Next time you're in Yountville, stop by, say hello, and take a look!

I took half a day off to drive up and take advantage of a sale they promoted on social media. What…read morea huge mistake! When I arrived and with an excited smile asked to see the sale section, the owner gave me an unpleasant look and said: "the hats are in the back (behind the counter), just tell me what you want and I'll see if we have it". I told her I wanted to browse the hats, she refused. She asked my size, which I did not know. What an unpleasant experience, eventually she brought out a couple of hats and threw them in front of me. All I can say is that if you want to announce a sale, then don't treat your customer who drives a good distance with such disdain. I even dressed up for the trip. I can promise you I won't darken their doorway again. Ever. My wife had been excited for me to get a nice Panama hat, and when she heard the story she called the store the next day and had a conversation with the owner (I do not remember her name), who promised to call me with an apology. Even given that chance I have never spoken with her.

San Francisco just turned 250 Years old and it's the best city in America which just turned 250…read moreyears. There is a place which honors San Francisco and the Richmond ( the District and not the city of Richmond). This place has art which honors the monuments of San Francisco and the style of San Francisco on clothing. It is called Fleetwood. On a Summer stroll on Clement street I landed inside Fleetwood. Inside you will find hats and jewelry along with shirts and seaters with prints that represent San Francisco from the Richmond District to the Golden Gate Bridge to the Sunset Dunes. You will find posters with San Francisco related prints along with tote bags. Fleetwood is also an art gallery and also has screen printing workshops. This is a good place to shop for clothing that is artistic which has a connection to San Francisco. It's interesting that weather in SF is "misunderstood"and to try to fight does "no good "so gear up when it's hot or cold in the Richmond "neighborhood "in SF at place called" Fleetwood" Go on a coffee run , walk or "jog"and you will find in SF place so you can yap and have a "dialogue" about what your next social media "vlog"and you will be surrounded sometimes like on 4th of July "Karl the Fog"

They hold custom printing classes and workshops and really give back to the city and neighborhood--a local gem! They support and carry local artists and cool designs that are like inside jokes for locals, like a love letter to SF (and the Richmond.) I picked up my Friends of Sunset Dunes beanies here and it was very easy, convenient, and friendly. I'll be back to buy some gifts here.

Since, as a patron, I unfortunately can't directly respond to the 3 star "anti woke" review by Erin…read moreK, i'll be leaving a response to her review here and just hoping her twitter fingers find it to read: ERIN: Frequent shopper here, and I have to say, your review reads more like a political scorecard than a take on the actual store. Basing a low rating on a snippet of conversation you disagreed with seems a bit off-base and more than a little judgemental, no? Especially when you noted the warm greeting and polite exit. Thrift stores are about community and reuse, not ideological purity tests. The Ark is clean, welcoming, and packed with affordable goodies--who cares if the chit-chat behind the counter doesn't match your specific worldview? If we started judging businesses solely on overheard opinions, we'd all be shopping in echo chambers. Props to the polite team; they've earned my repeat business for the deals, not the discourse.

This is a very organized thrift store, and I seem to always find something that I need. Don't forget to check downstairs for all the furniture! Prices are pretty good, although I don't know of any sale days, I could go home with an outfit for less than $30, and sometimes the clothes are actually new with tags. O V E R A L L: I come here often, usually carrying my puppy! We love to thrift and Arlo Thrift Store never disappoints!
