I have never been a Kohl's shopper until today. I had no idea they carried so many things! I was politely greeted upon entering. I went in for one item, but it turns out, it was only sold online. I decided to look around since I was already there. They have name brand items and lots in stock. I got 2 pets sweaters, 2 scarves, 5 tops, 2 pair of pants, 1 pair of jeans and a pair of shoes for $161.38 PLUS $20 "Kohl's cash" to use on my next visit! Very impressed with their sales and service. The dressing rooms need some attention. There were lots of dust bunnies on the floor. It makes it hard to stand on the floor with so much dust. Gross! This place is a mad house... maybe it's because I happened to go here during tax-free weekend, but still it was crazy! This was my first visit ever to any Kohl's. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was able to check out the women's clothing and found one shirt that I liked. The bonus was it was marked 45% off. There appears to be a super sale on clothing right now. There appeared to be everything in this place: clothes, children's items, housewares, etc... I appreciate that they have ONE line feeding into the registers, I hate when I pick the wrong line and this eliminates that. read more

I dropped my $200 in merch and left your store today, due to poor management and enabling behavior by your employee and manager. Long line, with 6 families waiting. Two families didn't see line and went to a cashier. Cashier didn't correct them, enabling issue. Second cashier, Pamela, came over and allowed a guy that just walked up to check out, even though the rest of us had been waiting in line over 5 minutes. Pamela then told another person who just walked up to come to her to get checked out, again, ignoring the folks in the designated line area. I asked why this was happening, and Pamela told me the others were waiting in line. I pointed to our line and asked if this was the designated line. Pamela acknowledged and affirmed this statement. I then asked why the others were getting attended to first, and was told it was because they were waiting in line. I stated that so were we, in the designated line area, and yet others were being checked out before us when creating their own line, rather than being directed to the existing line. I stated that this was unfair to the people, the families, who were following the rules. I was ignored. I took my $200 in merchandise, walked to Pamela's counter, put it down and stated I was not going to support an institution that treated their customers unfairly and rudely. Please utilize this information as a tool for training purposes. People deserve to be treated with respect, and can kindly be redirected to follow Khol's policies to wait in line for their turn. PS - to top it all off, when I asked to speak to the manager, she identified herself. She was sitting just steps away watching this insanity play out, not providing direction for her employee. When I asked her why she was allowing this, she said she was going to fix the line barrier to prevent more people from cutting in line. And she continued to sit there. All I can say is wow. Memorial Day weekend definitely brings out the worst in Kohl's employees. 2:45pm on Labor Day and only 3 total registers open across both exits. Each has a line of customers 10+ deep. The one cashier was having a legit mental breakdown in front of everyone. She became furious about no one having the coupons open on their cell phones and stepped out of her booth to yell at everyone in line. She leaned over the counter and started breathing heavily. I couldn't tell if she was having a heart attack or was about to stab people with scissors. Extremely awkward situation for everyone standing there and things went silent. I waited in line 20 minutes only to be told that I need to go to customer service at the back of the store to return 1 tshirt. I walked out and will stop at a different location tomorrow. read more

I have been a customer of Kohls for many years and really like the store. I have recently moved out of town and don't visit the Westheimer store as often as I used to. I became very frustrated today when, with some super Kohls discounts available to me, I tried in vain to place an online order for shoes on line. I have been successful in ordering on line several times but today was a total waste of time. I got to the pay by Kohls card section and it asked me to enter a password which did not work. I changed my password just prior to placing the order. In the end I gave up after an hour and half of futile attempts and going around and around in circles. Kohls doesn't have the friendliest, most helpful associates or even really good prices BUT I shop there regularly because of their amazing return policy. I love the fact that the company stands behind their products and will allow you to return any item at any time for any reason. There are never any questions asked. The associates and trained to accept ALL returns. Also, if you make a purchase via debit card, it will be returned as cash. They do not return to the card unless its credit. Having peace of mind when shopping is important. I love the clothes, but they can be a bit pricey. They always send coupons for 15-20% off and frequently have opportunities to earn Kohls cash. Until recently, you could even redeem your expired Kohls cash. I hoping they go back to that policy because I always forget to use mine. Also, if you do not have a coupon, ask the cashier if there is a coupon available. I've done this twice and got 15% off both times. read more

Yes, the store is usually a little unorganized. Meaning their racks are not always kept perfect. I'd call it messy. But if you know what you are looking for specifically you can go to that one area and poke around a bit and find items you need. They do have a nice selection of moderately priced casual dress clothes and I like that they carry Levi's and Lee jeans. Both fit me well. They have the Croft & Barrow line and it's pretty cheap pricewise but not material wise. I buy a lot of this maker's shirts and shells and they launder great! The Jennifer Lopez and Daisy Fuentes lines fit a real sized woman well. You know what I'm talking about...it's not "skinny" or sized small. No, you aren't gonna get personalized help. Quite often the only employee I see is the one that checks me out. But they do let me keep my hangers and they do have some great sale racks. Sizes are limited...very limited...but the prices are great if you can find one that is yours. I absolutely hate clothes shopping. Trying on and having to go back out for a different size, having to search for anything my size or something that's not designed for a teen or a twig or a grandmom and often having to drive to several places to find what I need all add up to Grouchy Leslie. I detest malls and fancy overpriced boutiques. If I could shop online for everything I would. But when I need a pair of jeans or some slacks or an inexpensive blouse in a pinch I head here first. They usually have things in my size and the prices are more often than not well within my comfort level. My wife recently took a new job and needed some new slacks immediately. We found 4 pair of nice slacks that don't require dry cleaning for $127. Parking was quick and easy and the cashier was very friendly. We also didn't have to hang up all the pairs of pants that she tried on...they have an associate that does all that for you. Just hang them in the fitting room. read more

I actually enjoy coming to this Kohl's and I don't understand all the negative reviews. I've never been a huge fan of associates coming to ask me how I'm doing every 5 minutes. I enjoy the search through the 40-70% racks. I feel this sense of pride when I find an item on super sale without anyone's help. It's true that usually only 2 or 3 registers are open, but I've never had to wait more than 7 minutes to check out. And let's be honest, sometimes it's not that terrible of a thing in life to have to wait to check out. In fact, while you're waiting in line you may realize that pair of JLo pants that were super cute and a size too small but maybe if you don't eat out for the next month you'll be able to fit in them aren't really worth it after all and you'll save yourself $30. So it all depends on how you look at it. The purse section is usually a bit frazzled, as is the jewelry section. But if they were all neatly aligned and set up, I wouldn't have the chance to get a thrill from finding that sequined Vera Wang clutch purse that matches my LBD right under all the Elle hobo satchels. read more

When I called to check the item availability, the associate I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about. So now I had to come in and search. The store looked like a tornado hit it. That's exactly what it was because there wasn't a store associate anywhere on the floor to help me. I get what I need (finally) and head to the register. I arrived to not only NOT find my item but spent 20 minutes trying to find a sales person to assist me (none of the call stations seemed to be working). After finally tracking someone down, she said I could go to Customer Service and they'd give me a list of other stores. I told her THIS store claims to have 4 of the item and if it's wrong I'm sure not globetrotting my ass further into the suburbs on a wild goose chase. If I could I would give this store a -5,000. I didn't even have to step foot into the store to know that the service I was going to receive would be Horrible. I called to see if they had a certain item in-store that I saw on-line, when speaking to one associate she addresses herself as "Mrs. Obama"....... So when asking her name again she giggles and tells me Erika. Anyways after being placed on hold for more than 20 mins another associate comes to the phone and ask me what was I holding for and I tell her, so she tells me "Hold on because I have customers here that are more important than you" in a very thick accent. I was placed on hold once again and another associate comes to the phone who obviously didn't know how to use a multi-lined phone and ask me what I was holding for I tell her that I was one hold because someone was checking to see if an item in store. As she says "ok, please hold" she keeps the phone off the line and then hang up. Luckily, I didn't have to call back because there is a delay on my phone and another associate comes to the phone and ask me to describe what I was looking for. After I was placed on hold for about the tenth time and speaking with 12 associates later, someone finally finds the item and place it on hold only because their supervisor was in the background. Needless to say, I ended up not going to pick up the item because it's Christmas, I'm in a god mood and I don't it to be ruined by a bunch of catty Kohls associates who doesn't know the meaning of Customer Service. I would never recommend this particular Kohls location to anyone (maybe my worst enemies perhaps). I do like what Kohls have to offer and I will continue to shop here but just not at this location. read more

Their hassle-free returns are great, but the cashier tried to STEAL my store credit! I had to make two return transactions (got two store-credit cards from the Service desk) and thankfully I kept a close eye on the receipts. I got to the register, the cashier summed up my total and when I gave her the two store credits and a $10 off coupon, she restarted the transaction at least three different times!!! At that point, she already placed my coupon and the two store credits in her little envelope. On the fourth "restart", i swear she did the old switcheroo on me and tells me that my 2nd store credit didn't had $0 on it. After i asked her if she was sure she used the right card, she made me go back to the service desk (the guy there told me that the card didn't even match the receipt) and when I brought to her attention that she made a mistake, she looked pissed that I caught her. She goes back to her little envelope, begrudgingly finds the my card and scans everything. She apologizes but I am more than sure she was more ticked off at me than she is apologetic. Yesterday, 1/2/16, I went to kohls looking to use the gift cards I received for Christmas. I found a nice bed set, but unfortunately there was only a Full size. I needed a queen so I asked an associate, Edwin, for help. He attempted to figure out if they had one in stock, but didn't know how. Instead of saying "sorry" and moving on, he found another associate, Carmen, to help me. She had to get creative to find the queen size SKU, but when she did she was able to look it up in the computer and radio Edwin to look in the back where they had not one, but 2 queen sizes in stock. This whole process took close to 30 minutes, but I was willing to wait. I greatly appreciate both Edwin's and Carmen's help, however I am frustrated that kohls hasn't trained their staff on how to look up a different sized item when a customer requests it. Not sure if the bigwigs at Kohl's will see this, but hopefully they do and reward both Edwin and Carmen for their great customer service and begin training their staff to better serve their customers. read more

I seldom go to Kohl's, but when I went recently, I remembered why: there are no sales personnel anywhere. If you're looking for an item, need a different size, etc., you're on your own. There's no "red phone" or anyone in sight, except the poor stocking girl frantically working to keep the dressing rooms cleaned out. And stores wonder why people are turning to on-line shopping. I can tell you why: if you're on line looking at an item, you can "chat" usually immediately with a person who can assist, look up information, etc. Yes, there are racks and racks of clothing, but nothing seems to be organized. I mean, is there a Juniors Department, Misses, Casual Wear, name brands, Women's? There are no signs directing someone who is not familiar with the store. Everything is jammed in there. Frankly, I'd rather pay a bit more and have some organization and assistance when needed. read more

This Kohl's is usually decent and clean. This time was different though! I went in today specifically for Coach Poppy perfume that online shows they have in store. I looked all around the perfume section which took forever because everything was just thrown and not organized at all! I ended up asking an associate named Erika to help or know where to find it. She had no idea and told me they were out. I referred her to the website saying they had it in store so she went to the back to look in the stock room. I walked around the makeup and jewelry section while she was gone and let me tell you it was beyond DIRTY! There was makeup all over the makeup chair, used makeup and applicators strewn everywhere, and again no sense or organization or cleanliness! I would never think of touching the makeup in this store unless you want a side of E.coli or pink eye! Anyways, she came back with no luck saying she had searched everywhere! I asked her to look again and finally she found it "behind other perfumes." Soo I guess she didn't search everywhere. 30 mins later I finally got the perfume so that's all that matters. EXCEPT WRONG! Online the 3.2oz bottle was on sale for $43.99. When rung up in the store it came up as $53.99 so I asked why the prices weren't matching and Erika said the website has different sales than in-store. This is not written anywhere online and they refuse to price match. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Erika kindly called. It took 5 calls to get the supervisor "Jerry" to the counter. That is ridiculous!!! She finally shows up and is rude and dull in her responses. She, again, said they don't price match but said I could buy it online and pick it up in store. That would take me another 10-15 mins of waiting around and considering I wanted to use cash, that wasn't very helpful. I probably won't waste my time or money at Kohl's again due to this! read more
