So if you're craving bold, fish-forward ramen in a fun setting and don't mind queuing,Kodawari Ramen is a solid choice. I got there 10 min before opening and there was a line. So go either after the rush or before it opens.

Waited 2 hours and I still think it was worth it!! We arrived around 2pm and scanned the code to join the waitlist. I had a bit of an issue with it due to location settings but luckily it worked on my partner's phone. We just walked around for 2 hours and then came back. Warning - at the 1.5 hour mark, the app asks if you're still waiting and you have to accept within 10 mins or else they'll remove you! The restaurant itself is tiny so we're seated like sardines! Speaking of sardines, you must get the sardine-infused ramen. That one was our favorite. This place totally compares to the ramen spots in Japan or the best ones in the States. They do ask for a tip at the end which I think is odd.

Ironically, the best food I had on my trip to Paris was Kodawari Ramen (and honestly might be the best ramen I've had so far between the US and France). The french are gonna hate but just skip the croissants and french restaurants and just go here instead. I got the Niboshi Paitan, and everything was cooked perfectly. The broth was packed with flavor but maybe a bit too salty for my taste (my friend said the same for his as well). The food comes out pretty fast; the only bad thing is eating this in the peak of summer is rough because there is no AC inside but honestly so worth it. The waiters forgot our water and a dessert we ordered (forgot which one but it was in a cup and was absolutely mind blowing) but overall were friendly. Would 100% go back + wished I discovered this place earlier in my trip. Also the price was only $16 which is insane in this economy.

This is really your whole in the wall Japanese authentic Ramen place. A Michelin recommendation for 2024. They are know for their classic Shoyu Ramen with a heavy soy sauce. Lines are to get inside are long, often very long; so you better use the app to book. Agnes at the entry is a diplomatic and charming lady that controls and regulates the traffic finding harmony when chaos sometimes reigns. The staff is super "sympa"and helpful. You really have the impression to be back in Japan with a Japanese flea market decorated place. Absolutely charming. There is a lot to love at Kodawari Ramen!

While visiting Paris, we received a lot of recommendations to visit Kodawari Ramen. As expected, this small hole in the wall had a long line outside, however, they provide such quick and efficient service, that the time passes by quick. The seating style is very homey and comfy, expect to be seated next to total strangers who will simply share the same love for good ramen as you. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was attentive and checked in on us to ensure everything was good. I made a few substitutions to my ramen, and they were accommodating to ensure I enjoyed my meal.

Very long wait, they use electronic wait lists now. It saves a lot of time. It's very worth it though! The ambiance is stellar! The loss of star was for the abhorrent bathroom situation. So so messy. It makes you wonder about the restaurant cleanliness. Food as always is wonderful, staff now speaks a little English which is GREAT in comparison to 2 years ago.

After a lot of walking at the Palace of Versailles, we decided to grab lunch on the way back to the hotel. It was raining and I remembered a friend recommending Kodawari Ramen (Yokocho). He said it's one of his favorite restaurants in Paris and they are in the 2024 Michelin Guide. This was the perfect answer to lunch! When we were on our way, I was a little worried about the wait because most reviews said the wait is insanely long but I was counting on it being a little less hectic with us going at an off hour. To our luck, when we arrived, only a few parties were waiting outside. We walked in and a staff member told us to go outside to scan the QR code on the window to enter the queue. It only took about 10 minutes before we were called in *mini happy dance* Definitely make reservations if you plan to go during the lunch or dinner rush. When you enter, you walk into a yokocho in Japan on the ground floor. They did a great job on creating the mood in the ambiance. Diners are cozy with each other but it's such a fun vibe. They also have an upstairs that offers a little more space. That room reminds you of old Japan with the decor. Their restrooms are also on the second floor. Just be careful going up and down the stairs as they are very narrow. Solid job by whoever designed the look for the place. Customer service is good and efficient. It's not as friendly as in Japan or Hawaii but they did a pretty good job. Side Note:Wasn't a huge fan that they ask for gratuity at the end of the meal. That was a first for us in Paris. They say it's optional but they are hovering over you and you feel pressured to tip. We looked at the menu and originally I was going to order their Kurogoma Ramen Chef ("our specialty") and Mink was going to order their Niboshi Paitan Ramen Chef ("our thicker soup"). The "Chef" for the Kurogoma Ramen is the addition of Tamago 48h and Spicy Sauce. Whereas the "Chef" for the Niboshi Paitan Ramen is the addition of Tamago 48h and Pata Negra Iberico Pork Chashu. I pointed out the Niboshi Paitan Ramen Chef had Ma-Yu burnt black oil. She quickly changed her mind and decided to go with the Kurogoma Ramen Chef so I let her order that and I got the Niboshi Paitan Ramen Chef so we could try both. Our consensus is that, for our tastes, the Kurogoma Ramen Chef was a lot better. I do regret not ordering it but we wouldn't have known without also trying their Niboshi Paitan Ramen Chef. We enjoyed our lunch very much and appreciate the recommendation by our friend. Michelin worthy ramen in Paris.

Coolest ramen shop I've ever been to. They were even playing ambiance sounds like made you feel like you were in Japan. & thankfully their ramen tasted amazing too. You do have to pay extra for the typical toppings (egg, corn, etc). Service was friendly and fast.

After being midway through a trip in Europe, I really needed my Asian fix so decided to get some ramen in Paris! I got a Japanese mojito (which was quite good even though I typically don't like mojito) and the Niboshi paitan ramen (a really thick chicken ramen). The place is very small so there might be a wait so I would recommend to come at off hours. You might also get seated by the counter to see how they make the ramen, which I did not complain. Would definitely come back again!

Honestly.... the ramen was just ok. The experience was very cool because you get to see the noodles being made at the bar, and the interior is very hip. However the ramen was just too salty for my liking, and I feel like I've had better in other major european cities like Lisbon or Amsterdam. Service was prompt and friendly!

Excellent vegan ramen that we thoroughly enjoyed. The broth was very unique pumpkin soup based and we tried both the desserts which were very well balanced as well. It would be great if they added more broth/soup to the vegan ramen and add more vegan options to their menu. Service is very friendly, there is waiting as this place is very popular but the wait-list moves very fast so it's managed really well. Kudos to team on that The ambience is supposed to mimick a fish market and I found that quite fun too.

We were craving ramen while feeling under the weather, so we set out to find the best spot in Paris. Of course, a ramen spot featured in the Michelin guide piqued our interest. (It bears repeating, being included in the Michelin guide is NOT the same as being Michelin-starred. Very few restaurants in this price range would achieve a star, BUT being in the guide is a huge honor nonetheless). We came expecting great ramen, but they shot straight past even that high bar. The broth of the Niboshi Paitan had unreal umami, and was rich and delicious in a way I haven't tasted outside Japan. There just aren't words! I wished I had more room for more add-ons, but the roasted tomato added a nice brightness. Now to the negatives: yes, it's crowded. It's a testament to its quality, in a way - would you trust a dead restaurant? We were able to snag a table with a 20 minute wait in the off hours, around 4 PM. Downloading the Skeepit app prior to arriving would have shaved that down even more. Service can be a little harried due to the crowds, but it's par for the course for Paris. The decor is amazingly detailed, down to a soundtrack of alley noises that plays on repeat. That being said, the dedication to alley clutter combined with the crowds means that you will be eating while shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Overall, it's telling of how much we enjoyed our ramen that we ended up trying the other Kodawari location the next day.

My girlfriend and I tried both kodawari ramen. This one specializes in meat ramen. I personally thought these were more flavorful. My girlfriend thought the seafood one had better flavoring. Admittedly the ingredients were very fresh there but I think the broth and noodles were more authentic at this location. The seafood themed one also has an extremely fishy smell. Very important to note they use this app called skeepit that has a radius of 3 miles. If you are able to download it early and get into the virtual que it'll save you a lot of time and headache. The wait is also pretty long (in the hours duration). Ramen is pretty authentic especially for France. It's on par with a relatively decent ramen in Japan I think. Worth the visit if you're looking for Michelin places in France. Highly recommend you doing the chef recommendations for the ramen.

This place does seafood broth based ramen and I could not wait to try it. First off the decor is very unique. It looks like you just stepped into a outdoor Japanese seafood market with fish, eel, crab hanging around (fake of course). We sat down and ordered right away since we were both starving. As an appetizer I got the edamame which was steamed fresh with flakes of salt. Very delicious. I got the lobster bisque based ramen. It was very rich with great flavors. It came with sliced duck breast, citrus flavored scallop, a soy sauce egg and other veggies. One of the most flavorful ramens I've ever had. I enjoyed every bite and slurp of it! My friend got the sardine shoyu ramen which came with two slices of sardines. He enjoyed this as well. We were very happy with our meals and the staff was so nice! One of my favorite meals I had in Paris for sure.

I found that hard to believe until I tried it myself -- maybe one of the best ramens I've ever had in my life. The initial plan wasn't to come here, but since a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays, we decided to give this a shot. Surprisingly, there was no line or wait at 5pm. We were seated immediately at this Tsukiji fish market-themed restaurant. Crazy how realistic the decor is and actually teleports you to Japan. You can see all the consideration that was put into the detailing of this establishment -- huge tuna on the table, the piles of insulated foam containers, hanging squid, and even the residual "puddles of water" on the table. We ordered the Sardine Shoyu (the classic) and Sardine Bomb (the strongest). Opted for chef style, which is a few euros more, but added extra protein such as an egg and chicken/pork chashu. Both took a bit of time to come out, but let me tell you -- it was absolutely worth it. The broth was rich, umami and not too fishy. The sardine bomb is a bit of a thicker and more potent broth, but wasn't overpowering at all. The noodles were wavy and chewy (maybe buckwheat?). Each bowl was loaded with tender pieces of protein that tied together seamlessly with the broth and noodles. We left more than satisfied from this meal, but will definitely think about this bowl on a regular basis. Well-deserved recognition!

Started with the edamame which is a must have for me at ramen places and it was not salty or had soy sauce with it but it tasted great plain. Being pescatarian I had the epitempura ramen which is shrimp based and the broth had a nice blend of spices and it was traditional shoyu. The egg was nicely seasoned and was a level up from just a standard ramen egg. The tempura got soggy and split apart really fast- I would suggest eating this first. Also noting that it was a normal portion and not a ginormous American ramen bowl. My mom got the saumon caramelisee which was "delicious", but if she had a note it would be the rice toward the bottom absorbed the majority of the sauce. It was a small restaurant with plastic barriers every couple of tables. The service was really timely as well--I just wish they had more veg/dietary friendly options for the rice bowls and katsu part of the menu seeing as there is also only one tofu ramen and the rest are pork based

As a solo diner on a Tuesday evening, I only had to wait a few minutes. It's a small place and I expect if your group has more than 4 people, you'll have difficulty with seating. At first glance, I was disappointed, but they were indeed delicious! To settle the Parisian palette, you can dip 'em in mayo if you like. I had the spicy yokohama ramen. Again I thought in traditional terms and expected a tantan men but instead it was the regular yokohama ramen with a side of hot sauce. In the end, I actually liked this as you can control the heat level. The noodles were amazing, and the chashu and egg were cooked exactly the right amount of time.
