Bed Bath & Biscuits - Pictures Jill took of our dog, Leo, playing at Bed Bath & Biscuits

Unfortunately for our dog, we have to leave town occasionally and he can't come with us. But,…read morefortunately for our dog, there's Jill at Bed Bath & Biscuits to watch him during those times! We've boarded our dog at a few places and are glad we came across this one. Now, it isn't a doggy daycare like other places, so the dogs aren't playing with each other. This does, however, mean the price is lower. We recently boarded our pup here for a long weekend and it was about half of what it would have cost at a daycare center. So even though it isn't daycare and the dogs aren't playing with each other all day, it seems like they have lots of room to roam and get plenty of playtime. Our guy came home tired and happy. Jill even sent along a few pictures of him playing around and it looks like he was in doggy heaven. We'll definitely be bringing our dog back again next time we're out of town.

Provided stairs for the big dogs to walk up into the bath, full pressure spray nozzle for complete & fast rinse, shampoo, conditioner, towels and dryer! (Of course, you can bring your own special/medicated shampoo, too). Tether to keep dogs from jumping out of tub and even water proof aprons to keep the bathers dry (or semi-dry!). We will definitely be returning!

If you're considering bringing your dogs here, don't bother--unless you have a penchant for…read moredisappointment and a complete disregard for your pets' well-being. After multiple visits, not once have they managed to follow simple instructions for a haircut. On my most recent (and final) visit, I dropped my dogs off and, astonishingly, they were kept for over eight hours with no communication other than a midday text asking about the cut--again. When I tried to call, I discovered the business was apparently closed, despite my dogs still being held hostage. When I finally retrieved them, not only were they still not ready, but one was bleeding from a botched shave under her neck--cut so close to the skin it was borderline negligent. I was informed both dogs had five fleas each, which is impressive given their clean bill of health from the vet the day before. Apparently, my dogs received a flea bath--this was never communicated, of course. The owner's daughter excused the disaster by saying they'd "had a rough day." That's nothing compared to what my dogs endured. My female's head looked like it had lost a battle with a weed whacker, and her body was bald. As for the dye job I requested? The color on my male dog had faded before we even reached home. When I texted to complain, suddenly they decided the dogs "weren't good candidates for dye because of fleas." If that's the case, why proceed and why not let me know? Basic communication is clearly a foreign concept here. To call this business unprofessional would be a compliment. The customer service is abysmal, the communication nonexistent, and the grooming skills laughable. If you care at all about your pets, steer clear. I wouldn't recommend this place to the walking dead. The staff here clearly dislike their jobs and, from what I witnessed, shouldn't be allowed near any animal, let alone entrusted with people's money. This is a masterclass in how not to run a business.

Long story here, but I have an extremely anxious cat. The last time I took him here, they gave up…read moreon any shots outside of rabies and advised an all indoor cat didn't need to come in yearly. Fast forward a couple years, my cat had a night where he was in a lot of pain and we took him to the airport emergency vet (they did great, but dang that bill was high). Turns out, he likely has mega colon and they gave a few medications to help. Our cat massively improved. Yay! But, we contacted our primary vet (VCA) for assistance with an ongoing prescription for the medicine. First, they were very rude about our cats not being patients because we hadn't been to them in a while. Though, they advised us to come in less. Calling our cat a problem. So, I go to this check up just so they can prescribe the medicine that is already working. At the appointment, they are very rude about everything. My cat was due for a rabies vaccine and the tech essentially said if he bit him, they would have to cut off his head. So, I offer to scruff and hold my cat for the shots and stuff. But, anytime I asked questions they were really dismissive and rude. They also left the room without helping me get him back in the crate. Then, we get to checkout and they give me a paper on how to order his medicine home delivery through their app. I asked questions on pricing and how it worked and got told it was super easy and I would see it in the app. I go home and set up an account where no prescriptions show, though they said it would. I call back and they say they will figure it out. They call back to get my card info over the phone, but don't have any pricing for me. They say they will get pricing and call me back by end of day. They didn't call back that day. So, the next day I get a call that they don't think my cat needs the two prescriptions and just to keep doing an over the counter medicine. I said, no he has massively improved on the current routine and the entire reason I went in was to get prescribed what he needs. Which they agreed at the appointment was the right medication! I ask for a paper prescription I can go get filled somewhere else, they again say they will call me back. Now, this is my first time ever getting an ongoing medication for a pet. So, an entirely new process for me. I find online Chewy has a good system and affordable prices. I go to chewy and order where it has me select VCA to approve the medicine that requires a prescription. I called and left a voicemail asking they approve the prescription and I hope they do. But, working with this VET has been a nightmare. We were treated very poorly and they had no interest in helping my cat get what was needed. I highly suggest using someone else.

The whole staff was extremely attentive and caring. Doctor Puterbaugh provided treatment that had a very positive and immediate effect. The doctor also made recommendations about testing that should be done. Unfortunately, the testing showed an almost certain terminal illness. The doctor took a good deal of time explaining the situation and answering all of my questions. Michaela also took time to speak to me on several occasions. I was able to have a few more months with my girl, to spoil her and spend time together. Earlier in the week when it was clear she could not go on, the staff at VCA, managed to clear time to see us. Everyone was incredibly caring and, even though I think they gave up their lunch hour to see us, took a tremendous amount of time to make my golden and I comfortable. It is difficult to express how much having caring people treating our best friends helps in difficult times. Thanks everyone at VCA
