**When a Simple Drink Becomes a Saga**…read more Dining out should be a pleasant experience--a chance to unwind, enjoy good food, and sip on your favorite drink. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Vittoria proved that even the simplest requests can turn into a frustrating ordeal. The evening started with promise. My friends and I, a group of six, sat down at our table, ready for a good time. The server, an older gentleman who didn't bother to introduce himself (let's call him Clyde), approached to take our drink orders. I handed over my trusty drink card--a foolproof recipe for my favorite Espresso Martini. I created this card to ensure consistency and clarity, not to mention sparing bartenders the guesswork. Simple, right? Wrong. What arrived at the table was a disaster. Instead of my carefully crafted Espresso Martini, I was served something resembling a Chocolate Martini, complete with shaved ice floating in the glass. It was unrecognizable and undrinkable. Politely, I sent it back and explained to Clyde that it was completely wrong. When he returned with the second attempt, things took an even stranger turn. As he handed me the drink, his chewing gum fell out of his mouth and landed on the floor. Yes, you read that correctly--his gum. Mortified, Clyde scurried away without so much as an apology or follow-up. My friends, trying to lighten the mood, asked if someone had lost a tooth and whether I enjoyed my drink. Spoiler alert: I did not. Determined to salvage the situation, I went to the bar and spoke directly to the bartender. I explained that my drink was still incorrect. Her response? A curt, "I've made it twice according to YOUR card. You can drink that or order something else." The audacity left me stunned. A hush fell over the crowded bar as they watched this embarrassing exchange. At this point, I gave up and ordered a Gin and Tonic--surely even this place couldn't ruin such a simple drink. While the food was passable, the service left a lasting impression--and not in a good way. This experience was a stark reminder of how critical customer service is in the hospitality industry. A little professionalism and attentiveness go a long way. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this establishment anytime soon. If you can't make an Espresso Martini right after being handed a recipe card, then perhaps it's time to reevaluate your priorities--or at least your staff training program.

Highly recommend for a nice dinner out, it would be perfect for a date night or celebrating!

I got the house wine and my fiancé got the beer and an espresso martini! All great! We got the crostini (mushrooms and ricotta) as an app - very delicious though the flavor profile wasn't exactly what we expected. The complimentary focaccia that came out was also delicious! For dinner we split the rigatoni (very popular per our waitress and we can see why - delicious and the short rib was tender and plentiful) and lasagna (special for the night and also quite good)! The restaurant was cute, smaller but not too small they couldn't do larger groups. Overall, delicious and would recommend!

I was pretty upset it took forever for anyone to realize my mom & I were even in the restaurant when they have a noise that goes off whenever someone arrives. Other guests had to let us know what to do. Everyone was weirded out. The waiter finally came out & just slammed us down menus. He was the least happiest waiter in my 29 years of life LOL. We ordered shrimp cocktail..amazing but you only get 6 shrimp FYI for $11.99. We also got cheesy garlic bread. That was awesome too. I loved the sauce. My mom got some pasta that wasn't good at all. Just pasta & sauce. No flavoring, no seasoning. I would never order it again. I got an old world pepperoni pizza that was a kids size. It reminded me of a lean cuisine pizza, pretty embarrassing if you ask me for $13. I would never order it again. If I was sharing that with someone I would have been mad with the size of it. They should warn people on the menu of the sizes. It just says "Pizzas" with the different flavors. I would try it again but there are so many other basic bar food places in Powell that are much more awesome. I wanted to ask the waiter what his problem was as we continued being so kind to him. It was clean inside.

We knew it would be busy, but was not ready to be waiting more than an hour between first course and second course! Several things did not go well. We had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes post our reservation time for the table to be ready. I found the portion sizes to be on the small side. I ordered the butter chicken pasta, which was really saucy so it was a shame to waste the remaining sauce once the pasta was finished. They give no complimentary bread, which would have been a nice addition to the pasta. The flavor of the butter chicken pasta and the hot chipotle chicken dip were good, but portion could have been larger for the price. Since the wait was extremely long between courses, I was offered a free refill for my mocktail, but when I got the check I was charged for it. I did not bring it up because after more than two hours of dining in, I was ready for it to be over. The mango creme brulee was not cool enough and so it did not set properly. The tiramisu tres leches was just okay, and they had ran out of the brownie dessert completely. I don't see myself coming back with so many nice Italian restaurants available in the city.

They have separately bread rolls you can buy for $2 each and they tasted like a Sisco roll covered in some oil or hot honey. They were usual sized dinner rolls. The Aperol Spritz was also incredibly watered down. In short, the place is a ripoff. The food was ok but not great and for the price point and portion size, and considering literally everything on the menu is bread/carbs which is one of the cheapest things you can sell, it was very disappointing.
