Our 1st visit to Knuckleheads. Top notch craft beers and a very entertaining and energetic owner. A fairly limited selection but theres something enjoyable there for everyone. My wife's softball team enjoyed the Peach brew which was almost gone and I had the Scotch ale [brewed correctly vs others in the area]. read more

Knucklehead Craft Brewing - Mmmmmm beer - Breweries Near Me - Webster, New York

Full disclosure, I'm not a beer drinker, I just like the idea of craft brews. So keep that in mind as you read this review. Stopped in at 7:30 pm Saturday night. It's usually really busy, but it was on the quiet side. I think it was because it was Labor Day weekend. Anyway my husband ordered a craft gin and tonic to start and moved on to Embark hard cider. I just had my usual can of A & W root beer. It took me back to childhood. The point of this review is not to talk about the eight kinds of beer they regularly brew and have on tap. It's to talk about the food we had to go along with our beverages. I had a delicious freshly grilled chicken sandwich. Marinated in lemon juice and generous amounts of herbs, served on a grilled hard roll with mayo, lettuce and summer tomatoes, it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. As good as the sandwich was, my husband's Hamburg was even better. The chef blends ground beef with bacon, scotch ale and spices to create a burger that's out of this world. They also serve grilled Zweigle hot dogs and soft pretzels with homemade beer cheese. Yum! Yep, that's the menu, but in this case, less is truly more. A beer and a fantastic burger. Life doesn't get any better. And they're nice at Knuckleheads too. read more

This was our first visit to Knucklehead brewing and it was a very pleasant experience indeed...First off the interior is very comfortable and spacious with very cool vibe to it...Next the staff was also very friendly and welcoming as we came in...We ordered our brews and food and both were well prepared...The IPA's are totally tasty and the limited but adequate bar menu worked just fine for our needs, we were there for the beer, lol...Anyway parking is not an issue and it's easy to find...We'll be back and I would suggest giving them a try sometime soon...Cheers read more

This is a great place to socialize over a drink of craft beer. The kitchen should be open in the next week at the helm of a trained chef. They have been serving burgers and chicken on the grill which are amazing. Friday nights are filled with music from mike pullano. The best part is the beers served there. Their specialty is a variety of ales. Kathy's Kreme ale is a lighter variety with the scotch ale and stout being a bit heavier. Try it out! read more

Nice family run place to grab a quality brew and relax. Be sure to get yourself a flight and try all the wares. Really excited to try to IPA once it's finished. read more

Knucklehead Craft Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Webster, New York

Average beer compared to other great local breweries.

After tracking their progress via Facebook, we were chomping at the bit for them to open. When we finally got word of their grand opening, we made a point to check it out. It was insanely crowded but we were able to get a tasting and grab a spot along the wall. It's really cosy inside. Although I can't say any of their brews are bad, I couldn't find one that I felt I might want to drink on a regular basis. We also felt that their beer was a bit overpriced. My friends stated that you can get growlers at other places for roughly $5 less than what Knucklehead charges. I think they should consider lowering the price to stay competitive with other area microbreweries but what do I know. Granted this was opening night so perhaps things have changed. The people were friendly and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely stop back to see how things are going. I'd love for them to stick around. Parking can be an issue. Every Friday since their opening cars are lined up along Ridge Road on both sides. It's a nightmare to drive past that stretch of road during happy hour! read more

We love it here! Great atmosphere and great beer! They always have something new on draught. Last week we tried the Tangerine IPA and Cashmere Suit. Loved them both! Also, check out Taco Tuesdays! read more

Love it here! One of our favorite breweries around. Seasonal beer is on point. Keep up the good work! Staff are friendly and always willing to make the experience great. read more

Had the blackberry raspberry cobbler ale and a jalapeño smash burger. Everything was top notch!

The people here are awesome! Let me start off by saying that I love the vibe and the people. The beer could be better. I mean that literally. I think they've got the great start to some amazing brews but they're not quite there yet. Their IPA was quite good but their Amber was just too bitter in a harsh way. Their stout was good but their coffee stout tasted just like it with Folgers added. Props for pulling out the coffee flavor... but a better coffee flavor would have gone down better. We will definitely visit again. I think they're at the edge of greatness but with just a bit more work to go. Definitely, give them a whirl. read more

Great service. The bar tenders and head brewer were very friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere, music, and seating area. Wish they expanded more into local restaurants and bars, but will definitely be back for more read more

We came and shared some flights. There were 5 Home brews and we had a straw/rhub pils from a neighboring brewery. All the beers were great. The brewer came and chatted with us and made us feel at home. We ordered peel and eat shrimp and pulled chicken Sammy. The food was delish. The side was a homemade Mac salad. So good. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in craft brews. There was also a couple ciders on tap. read more

Might be my favorite east side craft brewery. All around great atmosphere and draft selection.

This was a fantastic place I heard so much about. I heard the the beers were delicious and smart. I also heard the food was out of this world and farm to table. However, when my family and I went there we were slighting disappointed. We walk in and there was no host to greet us (no big deal). But we see the beer tenders and they see us and roll there eyes and go back chatting with one another. I walk over and greeted politely but she seemed annoyed we had kids. We were seated outside patio with nice table. The decor of the outside was very gray. The pavers gray, the table and chairs gray, the water fountain gray, even the fence around the patio gray. It was just meh. We order a flight of different beers. Because we were outside they were served in a plastic cup, not great but understandable. Our beers where regular IPA, stout, Haze and cream ale. Nothing really stood out, just mediocre. We order our food and sit back outside and wait. Our food arrives! The waitress was pleasant and helpful. Our entrees where alright. We both got fried chicken sandwiches and both chickens were either cooked in old oil or left in for a long while. Still tasty but definitely over cooked. We paid shortly after and left. The whole experience was meh. Nothing great nothing special. I am sorry, I was really hoping this place was great and met with our expectations. For now it's just any brewery read more

Stopped in yesterday for this first time in awhile and had a good visit. Normally this parking lot is jam packed but the seas parted for us and we had no issues finding a spot or a seat inside at the bar. We had the pretzels for a snack which are probably our favorite pretzels/cheese we've had at a brewery. Not a huge food menu but enough choices to give options for a group. Service was great and gave us suggestions for new places to try out on Senaca where we will be next week. They have a smaller overall beer list but I think it's more to do with the space they have. Their seasonals were very good and their Scotch ale is one my favorites around town. read more

Being the closet brewery to my house I find myself at the bar on a regular basis. I am always impressed with what they come up with and what they call it. I can honestly say I had my all time #1 beer sitting at that bar. And it's so damn hard not to grab food when your there. Sounds crazy but when and if you get one of the sandwiches go for the Mac salad. The best Mac salad I have ever eaten, not that crap that comes in bulk this is handmade and absolutely delicious. read more

Fine beer, and fine folks, a great place to socialize. Josh serves up a wonderful burger. Prices are reasonable. I generally stop by once a week for a burger and a brew. Good stuff. read more

Knucklehead has a great selection on their food menu. They aren't missing a beat! We are huge beer connoisseurs and they know what they are doing. They know their target market. Smart people! The Tainted Haze is amazing. IPAs are sometimes too hoppy for me and this is fantastic. It won't let anyone down who really enjoys a great beer. Check them out! They have fun events to bring people in, like Taco Tuesdays for example. Their every day menu is great for families too. read more

Good beers in a friendly neighborhood spot. Really enjoyed the stout. The owners are hilarious. Careful with the tastings- they're a great value and the alcohol really adds up! Scotch ale is wonderful...better than Rohrbachs in my opinion. Worth checking out. Definitely a wonderful addition to Webster. read more

Great experience..I drove to Webster for Stone yard and ended up liking Knuckle Head alot more..Great service and excellent beer. What made it worth while was the phenomenal attitudes of the serving staff..They were really into it...I will be back for the Coffee Stout. read more

Beer: Tried the IPA and Kreme Ale and they were very good. We filled some growlers for family over the holidays and everyone enjoyed it. It's nice to have a craft beer option closer to home! Bar: I was surprised at how much seating there was at the actual bar, yet the room still felt spacious and not too crowded. The interior is really nice and relaxing, it helps that it's brand new. I didn't stay but would consider going back with some friends. read more

We are doing Rochester beer trail and this came on the map. I don't know about all the beers but the Cream Ale was very good. They have blueberry flavored one and that's interesting too. Food is typical bar food. But overall looks like a good hangout with friends. read more

Great brewery, super nice family business. They have a grill operating right now for food. The burgers are delish. The beer is exceptional. I recommend the seasonal IPA. Will come back for sure. read more

Few breweries have impressed me as much as Knucklehead has. It's rare that I love each pour but every one was better than the last. Service was excellent as well! Highly recommend this brewery. read more

Well based upon the reviews we decided to try it. Not sure what the set up is there for food. We went in on a Wednesday night around 5:30 or so. About 7 or so at bar, one at a table and we sat at a table figuring to have something to eat and sample the beer. No one came to our table for 15 minutes and we saw one person just leave. One worker actually saw us but was busy arranging the shirt selection or something. I did go and get a beer which was fine, the cream ale, but we left after having that since no one seemed to want to wait on us. Not sure if they have wait staff or one orders from the bar but we did not know and probably will not return Menu selection was OK but weird prices like everything is $11.11 and such We do like to support local businesses but let's face it there are many brewpubs around we can go to read more

Beers are mediocre and the only way to get service is up at the bar. When 3 of my girlfriends and I went, the place was pretty busy on a Saturday. The staff didn't seem overly friendly. I have to say we also witnessed something that was disgusting as far as we were concerned. There was a worker who wore a kilt, he walked over to the table next to ours and he picked up a gentleman's glass and asked him if he was going to eat the blueberry's in his glass, the man said no...the guy in the kilt ate them...how gross is that!!! You eat something out of a customers glass....ewwwwww read more

The craft brews are delicious and different than their typical counterparts. I prefer IPA and generally dislike porters, but here the quality of the beer branches out a little further allowing me to enjoy types of beer I don't like elsewhere. The infusion of a small light fare keeps you here longer. The grill outside is basic but of decent quality. I have not had a chance to try their soups or new panini's on the menu. I'm here frequently enough that I will eventually read more

My husband and I walked in (our first time) to try some beer and get some lunch today 10/12/19 and we sat down at the bar. It wasn't busy and another couple sat down next to us 10 minutes after we arrived. There were 2 bartenders on and the girl was at the opposite end of the bar and walked down to our end, looked at us and walked right past us and served the couple that walked in after us! Apparently we were invisible We immediately left and went to another establishment where we spent quite a bit of money and tipped very well!! Rest assured we will not be back and we will be sure to share what happened to friends and family. read more

Great atmosphere, hometown feel, smoked mozzarella sandwich was amazing! Each beer was better then the next. We will be back !

The beer, the food and the people are amazing!! We came here ok a Friday night and they are on top of their game! Really a great hang out place! read more

Educators! You need to go to Knucklehead for Happy Hour on Fridays. They have a $2 off drinks special for all teachers and school staff from any district on Fridays. Just show your ID. A bunch of us from my school went for this, and it was perfect. The owners are a fun Webster family who value educators and make great beer on top of it! We also ordered some apps and they were delish. read more

Stopped for a tasting on Sunday before Labor day -- not real busy. My wife and I split a tasting of 6. The guys behind the bar were great! I believe both are sons of the owner. Really knew their stuff and had a great sense of humor. The beer was excellent. The tainted haze -- a New England style IPA was the best IPA I have had in any of the western NY local breweries. Had to order one after finishing the tasting. I will be back! read more

This is a cliquey kind of place, but the atmosphere is nice. The beer is very good and the sandwiches are great. It's not your typical bar in that it's not rowdy with 50 TVs blaring sports, so it can be relaxing and casual. The cream and amber ale are very good and they also import an IPA from Singlecut Beersmiths in Queens. There is no table service so you have to toddle up tot he bar to get your beer and order food. When your food is ready you have to toddle over to the kitchen window to pick it up. Don't forget to tip yourself for good service! After a couple of visits there, I kind of like the place. It's a nice different, give it a try. read more

What a great environment!!! An acoustic guitar player singing ... Great beer and good food. Several different age groups here... And the owners talking to the customers like they were guests at their home.., Two big thumbs up!!! I love this place! read more

We have been coming for over a year. The atmosphere is very inviting. It's a neighborhood bar where the emphasis is on beer, pub food and conversation. I am a big fan of their Day ta day IPA. If you are looking for big screen TVs and Bud Lite, it's not your place. But if you like a choice of 8 or so microbrewed beers, some good Friday night live balladeering and the chance to interact with the families who own and run the place or simply friendly conversation with the regulars, this is for you. New soups every week, Panini's and summer grilling of hamburgers etc are great compliments to the beers. Plus special events that all can enjoy quite often. Give it a try. read more

Just a great place to sit with folks and have some craft brew. I'd give this five stars but I am selfishly waiting for a bourbon stout and will just have to settle for the other great beers until that happens. read more
