Honestly, I would love to have something like this in the South Loop, but at the same time, I think part of what makes it work is exactly where it is. The main floor is comfortable and accessible, with loveseats, bar stools, and plenty of space to settle in. The cool part is that you can bring in food from any of the local places down the street, which fits perfectly with the whole neighborhood atmosphere. Then there's the basement speakeasy, which has an entirely different feel and is easily one of my favorite parts of the place. Overall, this is one of those places that reminds you that you don't always have to head into the city to find a great night out. It's comfortable, welcoming, has plenty of personality, and feels like it belongs exactly where it is. I had one player tell me there was free coffee and food (at a minimal charge) in the kitchen area, and a couple of other players who explained what the winning bingos would be for each round I participated in (super helpful for a first-timer and I'm extremely grateful). The free coffee was mediocre (I wasn't expecting LavAzza), but because it's free I'd definitely have a cup when I go back for more Bingo. For my first time, I liked this location for playing Bingo and I would definitely return because the people were all VERY friendly, and the building was cleanly, and not far from home.
