Local bagel shop and really good. I liked the sourdough bagels, soft and like the different flavors. The coffee was okay, but the bagels were definitely where it's at. The service was great, super nice and helpful. The shop is cute and little. read more

Visited with a small group this morning. We caught them right after opening, but they were quick to serve. This place is pretty eclectic in design, but has decent seating, and decent wi-fi. Ordered a drip and a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese. Delicious! Love places where I can get it on a Philly muffin. Overall it's kind of dim inside, so I'd prefer other places for lingering or working. I have visited in the past when the outdoor seating is actually usable, so I'd love to come back then and enjoy the outdoors. read more

A cute little coffee shop that also has baked goods and food. I got a chai latte, and it was delicious. Drinks are made quickly so even if there's a line, there's not much of a wait. There are also laminated menus at the front counter next to the baked goods case, in addition to the large blackboard menu behind the counter. read more

I've tried most of the cafes across the city (and that's a lot!) but Knockbox's staff and cold brew are some of my favorite so far. It's rich, velvety, not too acidic or gritty with chocolaty notes in the roast. Really lovely spot and super chill. I always feel super welcomed and the vibes are really comfy for working for a bit while you drink and eat. Not a lot of seating so I try and leave as soon as I finish or I pick up more to drink if I want to stay longer. read more

Stopped by before heading to the nearby Indian grocery store. It is located in a cute neighborhood with colorful rowhomes. The mocha was delicious. Their pastries and baked goods looked tempting so I'll definitely check out something to eat next time. Plenty of outdoor seating which is perfect for when the weather is nice. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. My favorite is an everything sourdough bagel with herbs and spices cream cheese. If I'm feeling fancy I'll go for the lox bagel. All the drinks are fantastic. Pastries are delicious. Workers are fabulous. I can't get enough of this place. I can never move away because I need my Knockbox fix! read more

Great drinks & lox bagel. Esp the blueberry coldbrew. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hawwwwwwwwwwwww

This is a place that I have been to several times and the quality is so consistent. I have never had a poor cup of coffee here. It is dependable, pleasant and never lets you down. Five stars! read more

I was going for a walk around the Clark Park area and was looking to get some coffee. I hadn't tried Knockbox Cafe before, so I thought I'd check it out. The inside of the store itself is pretty small, though there is some seating available. There also was some chairs and tables outside, which would be great to sit at and enjoy your coffee on a warm day. The menu is pretty extensive, and there are a lot of different options for food, drinks, and syrups. I got an iced latte with lavender syrup (their ice drinks come in a 20oz cup), and I enjoyed it. I would certainly come back here again! read more

Knockbox is a cute little cafe tucked into a neighborhood area in West Philly. There's some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating. I love the patio set up and it'll be nice to sit there once the weather warms up a bit. I got an iced hazelnut latte and enjoyed it. I like how it wasn't overly sweet and could really taste the espresso still. It was a pretty standard latte and didn't really stand out to me. I think they also have some more inventive or seasonal flavors too for their coffee. So I'm looking forward to trying more from Knockbox! read more

I love this little spot on the edge of university city! It's quite small but it's got that West Philly hipster vibe and they have all the espresso drinks you could ever need. I got a 12 oz breve that was impressively strong and had a nice texture to it. Bonus points for having a little DIY fixins bar where you put your lid on which feels like a dead advent in the post-pandemic world. All in all enjoyed the quick service, loved the little outdoor seating area, and would love to visit again! read more

NOT GOOD Staff was extremely miserable with horrible hospitality. Barely put 1 shot of espresso in a 20 oz latte. Latte was not good. STAY AWAY! NOT WORTH YOUR TIME read more

Visited Philly recently and found this quaint cafe nearby where I was staying. Get their Philly muffin, it was delicious! If bagel and bread had a baby it would be this. Cute little cafe in West Philly with good coffee. I tried their breakfast sandwich, which was a turkey sausage, egg and cheese, on what they call a "Philly muffin" in lieu of a bagel, which was pretty good, but not the best breakfast sandwich I've had. I think I was moreso expecting the saltiness of an everything bagel, and that's why I was a little let down. Still good, but not necessarily what I was expecting. Overall the inside is super cute, they have a nice outdoor seating space, and they have a decent list of coffee offerings, and more than two sizes for drinks. My friends live right around the corner so I'm sure I'll be back! read more

I always get the hummus sandwich. Sometimes a pastry and drink if I got it, but everything that I get there is always as good if not better than the last time I've had it! Stopping here has always set my day on the right track mentally and nutritionally and it's so affordable! I moved further away but stopped back in and they remembered my name! Tea: 4.5 Out of 5 I loved the African Honey Bush. I didn't add any milk or sugar with it, but still loved it. Environment: 4.25 Out of 5 Cute little neighborhood cafe. Knockbox is a go-to coffee shop in the West Philly area! Got an iced mocha w/ oat milk and nothing else. Tasted great. Reminded me a lot of Elixr's coffee and mocha style, perfectly creamy and the chocolate wasn't too strong/sweet. Could still taste the espresso and complemented the drink well overall. Was also able to try their (lox) sandwich. It tasted great, but it was a bit pricey. Also they charge for every single topping (tomato, cucumber, etc.) and we were not made aware of this because we thought it came with the sandwich (it doesn't)! Overall great coffee, good food. Wish the study space was more well-organized-- you literally have to bump around and move tables just to sit down because the shop is so small and the tables are touching each other. The wait can also get up to 30 minutes when there's only two people working and a line. Come when it's not busy and you can find a great study space and great cafe vibes. read more

Such a cute little neighborhood cafe. I love how they have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. They have free wifi and you can also pay to print stuff out if you don't have a printer at home. The baristas are very friendly. I've had baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, empanadas and ice cream here but my favorite menu item will forever be their lox bagels! Sooo yum. Much more affordable compared to their competition on 45th and Baltimore. The only sorta negative thing is have to say is that it's a bit of a drag when it's super cold or hot out, and the lines are a bit long so you're just standing out there waiting. So that's just something to keep in mind if you're in a rush. However, I'm a returning customer and would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who wants a quick bite, or perhaps a different scene to wfh in :) read more

Knockbox is my absolute faaavorite neighborhood cafe! My friend lives down the street and we love to grab a snack to break up study sessions or stop by for breakfast after a sleepover. They have the BEST lox bagel- I recommend getting a lox bagel on an everything Philly muffin and hold the cucumbers. I also adore their pistachio rose cookie, and they have wonderful iced coffee, matcha lattes, and chai lattes. This place is pure sunshine and good local vibes. read more

Sweet West Philly cafe. Since I've lived in this neighborhood for 25 years, I've watched things come and go. (Sam's Place will forever hold a special place in my heart). This coffee shop and cafe was a nice treat for a small informal brunch. They had a pretty extensive drink menu and also served a decent variety of breakfast sandwiches on their signature Philly muffin. I ordered their standard breakfast sandwich on a plain Philly muffin and it came with egg, turkey sausage, and fresh veggies. It was delicious! The London fog with almond milk was also delicious and a great accompaniment to my breakfast sandwich. I particularly enjoyed their outdoor raised patio area with seating. There is pretty limited seating inside the cafe and outside the cafe, so just something to think about if you go during peak hours or with a large group. went to get coffee and bagels. the bagels are hard as a rock to the point it was hard to chew. Would not go again.

Best vibes in West Philly! Love the staff, ambiance, and pastry options. Try a Cortado on the deck on a sunny morning.

Took a mental health day off work and woke up early to get some ice coffee at a local joint. I got the ice coffee and the lox on and everything bagel. The lox was good, bagel wasn't too hard and enough chew. The ice coffee not too acidic and bold enough for my liking . Nice little cozy place, with indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Not totally sure if this coffee deserves to be on the market. That may sound harsh, but though my latte was decent, it was on the pricey side. I love supporting local, but this place seemed to need more support than I could give. The name online was different than the store sign and the coffee sleeves. Not sure what was going on there, but it made it confusing to find the place. That being said, I liked their seating area and they seemed to have a good variety of baked goods (a touch more expensive than I'd like) and their interior was cute. Not bad for a one time go, but wouldn't go back. read more

The coffee here is better than at Green Line and Milk & Honey Market. And if you buy 10, you get 1 free. I also like the tea selection. However, it's very small, there's no wi-fi, the pastries are so-so, and the service is not always top notch. I used to get morning coffee here before work, but I had to stop because the service was too slow. I would stand at the counter, trying to order coffee before catching the trolley to get to work, with no one in front of me, and the staff would be talking to someone (not in line) for a long time, without acknowledging me. I don't mind if people have different philosophical views on the concept of time, but maybe I'll buy coffee instead from a place that understands that people don't have all day to wait in line and can better adapt to different customers' needs. read more
