Note: 4 stars since I'm vegetarian. If you're a carnivore, great place! I came here with some colleagues after a conference. It's located in the Ritz Carlton. It's a fancy place! I believe it's on the Michelin guide. Know that it is pricey. It's a steakhouse and I'm a vegetarian, but the staff was kind and pointed me to dishes that were veggie friendly. They start with an amuse bouche -- I had some fresh veggies that seemed recently harvested. It came with ranch that felt like it was from a grocery store, but the veggies were good. The bread course was great -- several options and all good. They have two types of butter as well, including a smoky one that I thought was excellent. The croissant-like bread was really good. My group didn't order any veggie apps but there weren't many on there besides the salad. That said, they raved about the Caesar salad and the oysters. The salad was especially popular. For the mains, my friends mostly ordered meat dishes (which is what the place is known for). I ordered a pasta dish. It was okay. I thought it was a bit one dimensional with how strong the citrus flavor was, but it was certainly pretty. The sides we got were delicious, especially the mushrooms. To close off, they gave us a bit of sorbet (may have been ice cream) that I believe was passion fruit flavored. It had a bit of granola. That was great! We also ordered the soufflé. I'm not a big soufflé guy but man, it was AMAZING. Maybe the best thing I had here! Definitely get it.

If you've never eaten at the Knife and Spoon in the Ritz Carlton Hotel, you have missed out on 5-star service and their fabulous gourmet food. My daughters took me this past week, and we were absolutely amazed at the attention to detail and the uniqueness of the combinations of flavors of the food. It truly was a wonderful dinner in every aspect. The atmosphere in the room is one of quiet but comfortable elegance. The staff - can't say enough good about their attention to all the details, making each and every person there feel truly special. It's pricey but worth treating yourself or someone you love for a special occasion.

We recently visited Knife and Spoon for my mom's birthday and our experience was incredible. Our server, Tony was amazing! He was very knowledgeable on the dishes available and made great recommendations! The restaurant gives an upscale, relaxing experience. Tables are well spaced out and and large so you have plenty of space for all the dishes and to enjoy your own conversations. As for the food, incredible!!!! Some favorites included the scallops, hamachi, pumpkin salad, ravioli, wagyu frites and the sides (mushrooms, Mac and cheese and cream spinach). Dessert was amazing, specifically the matcha latte!! Everything was crafted to perfection, the attention to detail was impressive and the team provided an over the top experience! We are already looking forward to coming back!

3 Stars, and not the Michelin kind. Maybe my expectations were high as this was a former Michelin Star restaurant which is why I wanted to go. I can definitely see why they no longer have that star. The cocktails were all meh... the coffee one was weak and the comfortably numb was non numbing at all. it was supposed to have Szechuan peppercorns in it but didn't sense a thing. I probably should have gone with wine or something but I didn't know at the time. The bread was great. Love when you can pick which breads you want. Yum. Same with the Shrimp Cocktail and love how there was plenty of horseradish in the cocktail sauce. The pearls and onions appetizer was outstanding. It was like Heluva Good French Onion, but Heluva lot better. The homemade salt and vinegar chips were interesting with it. I maybe would have gone with plain salted chips though. Salt and Vinegar chips don't need no stinkin' dip! I used to think anytime there's a whole snapper on the menu, order it. Well, this place changed my mind. It was just run of the mill bland and I've eaten better fish at any restaurant ending with the word "camp" (IYKYN). The red grouper was decent but again, no real flavor. Even the picture looks like it tastes bland. The Italian restaurant at the JW Marriott was way better and way cheaper. I'd skip this if I was staying here again. The Appetizers and Bread saved it from a lower star review. It's all about dat dip!

I have had only a handful of dining experiences in my lifetime that have felt like I was feasting inside of a wonderful dream. This incredible experience was one of them. We ended up staying over on a Sunday night after my boyfriend's work conference just so he could experience this marvelous Michelin restaurant. It did not disappoint. Arriving early, we started off with martinis at the bar: a Lemon Drop for me and a very dry Vodka Martini up with a twist for him. The drinks were perfect. Our bartender coordinated with the hostess, letting her know we were there as we waited to be seated at our table, a gorgeous booth in the center of the restaurant. We had several waiters serving our table, and the service was impeccable. The chef sent out a Split Pea Soup with Parmesan Foam amuse bouche that was delicious and refreshing, followed by our selection of two different kinds of freshly made bread with two incredible enhanced butters. I'm not much of a bread person, but do not skip the complimentary bread service. It is out of this world. The Tuna and Foie appetizer was very different and decadent, with thinly sliced yellowtail covering the plate with a hint of aged foie gras served over toasted brioche. It was incredibly fresh and delicious! I was sad to learn that my favorite dish, the Uni Cacio e Pepi, is no longer on the menu, so I ordered the Doppio Ravioli, a vegan pasta dish, instead. The dish comes with only three large raviolis, but they are so rich and creamy (filled with cashew cream and served with an orange reduction sauce with what tasted like coconut milk) that I was full after eating it (along with the bread and appetizer, too!) Boyfriend ordered the Wagyu Picanha Frites with summer truffle and a very savory chimichurri and thought it was one of the best beef dishes he's ever had (and he's picky). We enjoyed our dream meal with a nice glass of Ken Wright Cellars Pinot Noir for me, and another dry martini for him. Every year, I've fallen in love with a particular wine enough to seek it out at home. Last year it was the Flowers Chardonnay; this year it's this Pinot Noir. A palette cleanser of a pungent-in-a-good-way raspberry sorbet was delivered to each of us, and we ordered the incredibly light white chocolate and orange souffle for dessert. We ordered our favorite Tawny Port wine to go with it, but the sommelier recommended an incredible sherry (my apologies - i can't remember the spirit) that pairs better with the souffle instead. He gave us half of that spirit and half of our ordered port, and he was right: the sherry was the perfect choice. The bill was served with four little bites: two chocolate truffles and two gingery gumdrops, which of course we had to devour despite being very full of amazing food. This is a must visit restaurant in Orlando. It's at the gorgeous Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes resort, on the lobby level. Pro Tip: Eat the bread!! Take 1-2 pieces and slather it with the flavored butter - it is incredible!

Wow, we had such a lovely evening! My sister-in-law's and I enjoyed a nice quiet dinner without any kiddos while we were in Orlando visiting Universal Studios. We for dolled up for the evening and enjoyed dinner. The ambiance was very romantic with dim lights once you first step into the restaurant. Service was impeccable. We first checked in and they told us there would be a few minutes wait but the bar was conveniently close so we moseyed on by to grab a drink first. We walked up and didn't wait for long until someone asked us what we wanted, we ordered our drink and before they were able to finish it our table was ready. Well of course no problem, the bartender would deliver it to our table, that was nice. We had several folks checking in on us and servicing us, from drinks to bread to our food order, everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Now the portion of the food here is small.. I must say but it was filling and fulfilling, taste wise. There was Soo many courses that we ordered along with the drinks and bread, my sister-in-law and I were worried we wouldn't be full but nope, after the 4 plate we were then the jumbo bracelet size onion rings came out and that pushed us over the edge, we had one bite.. it was good but huge! All in all, great experience, delectable food, Soo flavorful and tasty, such a good variety along with impeccable service. It was a lovely dinner.

We spent Valentine's Day at Knife & Spoon and had the most beautiful evening with our family. The service was honestly on another level. Every single person we interacted with was kind, attentive, and just genuinely amazing. You can feel when a team truly cares -- and they absolutely do. The food? So incredibly delicious. Everything we tried was outstanding. You can taste the quality in every bite. We didn't get to try as many dishes as we wanted, which just means we'll be coming back very soon. Such a special experience. Highly recommend. Five stars without question.

After an evening and $1,500 later, I can say this: Knife & Spoon, despite its Michelin accolades, didn't quite live up to the hype. It was merely mediocre, slow, and overpriced. Our dinner dragged on for three full hours+, and several items, including a second "dirty" martini, which was arguably just tolerable and not very cold or dirty, and two ordered of Mac & Cheese, never arrived. At that price point, prompt service should be a given, not a surprising rarity. A couple items hit the mark: Mashed potatoes: Classically smooth and well-executed. But again just mashed potatoes. French onion dip with caviar was delicious but I've had this at so many restaurants. Carbonara with a fried egg yolk was bold twist with visual flair, but not authentic. Cream was used, which is not traditional carbonara, and it diluted the flavor. We ordered two bone in tomahawk steaks , one 30 day dry aged, the other 90 day dry aged Wagyu. They were overly salted and i like a good amount of salt on my steaks, and both, despite one supposedly being better than the other, tasted Exactly the same. Neither was more tender or flavorful than the other. Makes me wonder if i even got two different steaks. Oysters literally only came with a mediocre mignonette. I asked for horseradish and hot sauce because it was lacking. The tuna & foie gras lacked any interesting flavor. The rest? Just "good enough." Not memorable. The desserts, (matcha latte & the chocolate "cake") were dull and lacked punch. Both fell flat. Let's just say i was disappointed.

Knife & Spoon really knocked it out of the park. We've been wanting to dine here for years and finally decided to give it a try while celebrating a birthday -- and it absolutely lived up to the anticipation. Arrival & Parking: Getting to the restaurant was easy. Knife & Spoon is located inside The Ritz-Carlton, and while there's no self-parking (valet only), parking is validated when you dine. Once inside the hotel, the restaurant was easy to find. First Impression: The entrance felt welcoming, modern, and polished. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this was a premium dining experience without feeling stiff or intimidating. Service: Service was outstanding from start to finish. The hostesses were warm and attentive, and the waitstaff truly elevated the experience. Water glasses were never empty, the table was constantly maintained, and the pacing of the meal felt perfect. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, flavors, and Chef's vision, which made navigating the offerings much easier. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they also went above and beyond to make the evening feel special -- a thoughtful touch that didn't feel forced or overdone. Our main server was Pedro and he was absolutely exceptional and made our experience truly memorable! Food & Drinks: Exceptional across the board. The cocktails, while on the pricier side, were well-crafted and high quality. The bread was fresh and memorable on its own. The Wagyu Picanha was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The mac and cheese was easily some of the best I've had -- rich, balanced, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The vegan Doppio Ravioli was a pleasant surprise: light, flavorful, and thoughtfully composed. As someone who often expects vegan dishes to fall short, this one absolutely did not. For dessert, we finished with the matcha latte dessert, which was unique and very enjoyable. Final Thoughts: From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the entire experience feels intentional and refined. This was a truly worthwhile dining experience, and one I'd happily return for -- especially for a celebration.

One of my favorite meals ever. Such a wonderful experience, the entire staff were attentive and helpful. Our lead maitre d, Tony, was the absolute best and I cannot recommend him and this restaurant enough. Truly a top 10 meal memory, it was so special. The hamachi is a MUST, btw :)

4.8 My husband surprised me with dinner here for my 40th birthday. Reading some of the 2 or 3 star reviews left me perplexed! Let me start off by saying that upon walking in, we already could tell this was going to be a great evening. The hostess was very nice, and the host cracked some jokes. Once seated, we were greeted by not one, but three servers. All of whom would be helping us. The whole restaurant is a vibe. Open kitchen concept, funky art, and the food presentation was amazing. On the reason we are all here. The food and drinks. We put in our drink order first. While perusing the menu, we were given a complimentary bite sized hors d'oeuvre which was a pickled Brussel sprout. It was ok. Nothing to write home about, but a nice touch. The bread service is great. There were three types of breads to choose from and they give you butter topped with speciality salts. During all of this, we still never got our drinks. So that's where they lost the 0.2 for me. The shrimp cocktail was great. The cocktails sauce was topped with a heaping amount of horseradish, which I love!!! The shrimp were perfectly chilled. we did eventually receive our drinks at this point, which were good. Very unique. My husband had the continental drift, which he said was ok. A little sweet for his liking. I had the mocktail, half awake in Venice. It was refreshing. Not super sweet. We shared the 10oz filet, mashed potatoes and kimchi creamed spinach. This was hands down the show stopper moment. We have always said that you know a filet is good if you can cut it with a fork. And this was one of those filets. Given that I am pregnant, I cannot have medium temperature steaks, so even a medium well steak was like butter. The filet came with an au poivre sauce which was delectable. The mashed potatoes were super creamy. Not a lump in sight. But the showstopper was the kimchi cream spinach. I could've licked that plate. The sides are very generous. Sharing the steak and the sides was sufficient for us. Since it was my birthday, they gave us a carrot cake. It's very modern, deconstructed. It comes in a white chocolate shell. It was very good. To top it all off they gave me a small box of macarons as a gift. This was absolutely a treat, and it saddens me to see some of the reviews.

Always a bit skeptical of restaurants that are on the Michelin guide, but Knife & Spoon exceeded all expectations. The staff are amazing, always making sure that you're taken care of and explain each dish carefully. You get an amuse-bouche and a palate cleanse. They also gave us macarons (each box had 3 macarons, and they gave us a box for each guest). They also provided complimentary bon bons at the end. The steak tartare was delightful, and the shrimp for the shrimp cocktail were very big. Appreciated that they gave us a choice in bread. For entrees, the duck breast was SO GOOD. The ribeye did not disappoint and well seasoned. Bolognese pasta could have had more salt but still solid. The mushrooms were okay and had a tad bit too much sauce. For dessert, the matcha latte is a must, as it tastes like the matcha chocolate that is made in Japan. The soufflé is a popular choice and often sold out by 8/9 PM. Overall, can't recommend this place enough. It's not too dark and not too noisy, so the perfect place for a nice dinner or celebration.

    Complimentary palette cleanser (amazing)

Overall, a great experience. The food was good (some courses great, some just decent) but the service was what set it apart. We had looked at the menu ahead online and had a general idea of what we planned to order. However, when we arrived 3 of those items weren't on the menu. We mentioned this to our server, and he informed us it was a limited menu due to being the day after their Valentine's Day menu. He was quick to reassure us he could get us some oysters (which turned out to be one of the highlights of the meal -- the green apple mignonette was incredible). He also was so kind to surprise us with a portion of the carbonara with our entrees, which we weren't expecting but thoroughly enjoyed. We ended up ordering the oysters, pearls and onion dip (LOVED it), the Caesar salad (enjoyed), the dry aged strip (ordered medium rare plus but got a true medium rare; had a fantastic crust though) along with the crispy rice (amazing) and kimchi creamed spinach (thought we would be able to get past the traditional creamed spinach texture for the kimchi flavor but just couldn't), and finished with the chocolate cake (very good). Drinks were all great. My husband had the legend and I had the solid to liquid to start, which is a great drink if you enjoy the taste of tequila. The espresso martini was also well done. Overall an enjoyable experience, largely due to the wonderful service from everyone we encountered. We would certainly return, although I think we'd order a few things differently.

Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.
