If you need any renovation projects done on your home look nowhere else but Floors & Walls. Thank you Joe & Crew!!!!!

My house had mold remediation so there were several areas that need dry wall replaced, bath tub…read morereplaced and some other stuff. Anything that requires attention to detail no. One of the piece of drywall they replaced they didn't trim right so it's all broken around the outlet. Then they proceeded to paint it instead of fixing it. Then they don't fix anything that wasn't right. They rip stuff out and slam stuff in paying no attention to anything. They removed our old tub and had to rip out the old tile wall. Put in new metal tub and new tile. Grout started cracking a month after the install. The tub pops and dings and makes all kind of noise cause it wasn't set right. We have a window in the wall and the tile at the bottom tilts to the window. When I pointed this out their response was the window was preexisting. Yeah but the previous tile tilted to drain the water towards the tub. Their response was there's plenty of of grout and caulking to prevent water getting into the window. yeah right now till that cracks. It wasn't that way before so clearly the tile isn't set right. Also it will get moldy with water sitting there all the time. They had to trim the wood for the towel bar. Think they would cut that straight? Nope. Grout line between the tub and tile on the floor looks like my 5 year old put it in. It's not smooth it's bumpy and it divots so water collect there. When asked them to fix it they had no interest. The tub got damaged by a tile being dropped on it. There solution to fixing the chipped paint and dent was to put touch up paint on it. When they did that they didn't remove all of the cracked paint nor clean the spot so the paint stayed for about two weeks. How do you not at least prep the area. Since new tub was slightly different in size they had to move the drain. However installing the rest of the tub items like spout, shower head, and handle nothing is lined up. It's now a zig zag. Spackling got splattered all over the place. Paint got splattered everywhere and needed to be wiped up. They had to replace a bathroom vanity and scrapped the walls like you can see the white of the inside of the drywall it got scrapped so bad. Which is fine stuff happens. But their response when I complained about it was well you need to paint the bathroom anyway. Basically anything that needed fixing they had no interest in redoing their work to make it right. Joe works another job and it's clear this is part time for him. He came to work on the house once and he showed up only one other time. You never know when they going to show up as they don't communicate and when they do show up one guy will work and one guy will run to Home Depot. Every time. They'll leave stuff a mess and leave things behind. They showed up one day to put up some trim. Dragged out the compressor got things ready only to discover they left the air hoses at yesterday's job. Like how do you do that. So you'll just use a hammer? No we'll come back later or tomorrow. It was literally 18 nails. It would've been faster just to use a hammer while you're here. When a job is completed you should fell good about it. All I want to do is rip my bathroom back apart cause it pisses me off every day.

I've used Kris from KAR Construction three times and been very happy with him and his work every…read moretime. He's very knowledgeable, does quality work, and is a real nice guy. The biggest job I've hired him for so far was to brace/strengthen and refinish my deck. I had the decking replaced last year, but didn't get around to finishing it after it had seasoned. A year passed and the wood was starting to look dry and cracked. My little daughter couldn't go out barefoot anymore because she would get splinters every time. Kris gave me a competitive quote and made an excellent recommendation on a material to refinish and protect the decking. Now the deck looks brand new, it has a little bit of texture to provide traction if it's wet, no more splinters, and it's super easy to clean. It was an all-day job for Kris and two helpers, and I couldn't be happier. I appreciate that Kris is willing to do some little jobs too. I hired him to clean my gutters, and another time I hired him to do some repair work and repainting to part of the exterior of my house. It's good to have a business like KAR that you can always call on to do good work for anything related to home improvement or home repair.

And in two decades none of them have come close to the professionalism, price, trust and expertise KAR brings to job everyday. Kris and his crew essentially rebuilt my entire home over a 3 month period. Spanning from wall removal, bathroom renovation, rerouting electrical, custom sink installs,, adjusting floor deflections, baseboard customization, door installs, crown molding and painting. Literally everything I could throw at him was not only done on time, but it was done right and at the price quoted with no surprises and there was zero worry about leaving him and his team to work without me home or around my dog. Even the most mundane jobs, like silencing every creak in every floorboard and hot water pipe in the house was done and Kris refused to leave the job site until it was completed. You're not getting a guy that does contracting as his job. You're getting a contractor that DOES his job, period. No matter what you're looking to do, I highly suggest calling Kris first for a quote or second opinion. I'll wager the only problem you'll have is being forced to put out an extra plate on Thanksgiving because a new family member will be getting invited over.
