Sisters lunch at Kneaders. We were able to enjoy the nice spring weather~this is one Kneaders with outside dinning. 3 of us had the Turkey, Bacon, Avocado, Salad. It was really good. One of my sisters had a soup. We all enjoyed our meals. It was such a nice experience enjoying the food and eating outside. It was quiet enough to visit and catch up we stayed 2-1/2 hours. First time at this location. A kind worker who said his name was Vince took good care of us. He even offered to take our dishes away for us. Great friendly staff serving up great food. read more

I'm in Midvale, UT this week. Our team, SC Blues U13 were in town for a Far West Regional Tournament. We were looking for a restaurant. We love this place! Decor was homey and didn't feel like I was at large chain restaurant. I like that. Pastry selection was great and sandwiches were awesome. Kinda reminded me of Panera, back home. I've loved kneaders for a long time. Recently when I've been it seems as though they've raised their prices and lowered their quality. I usually order the French dip and last time I went it was almost $10 for a sandwhich and sugar cookie with only about 1 or 2 pieces of roast beef on the sandwhich. Very disappointed! My favorite has always been the turkey and artichoke on focaccia. However, every time I have gone in the last several months the amount of turkey gets smaller and smaller until it is almost non existent and what is there is almost a turkey paste. I don't know why restaurants start something good and then think the way to go is to start skimping on quality. Either raise the price and actually add turkey or start calling it artichoke on focaccia. read more

I ordered a veggie sandwich with no sauce or cheese since I avoid meat, dairy and oil. I was very disappointed with the small amount of vegetables they put on my whole sandwich. Vegetables were like a condiment size on the large bread. Vegetables are not that expensive they don't have to be so sparse with them! They sure don't know how to make a veggie sandwich! I also ordered a Pina colada smoothie with coconut cream and got something pink instead I think it was strawberry. I don't think it had any coconut cream in it at all it was very sweet! We were with a work party and in a hurry to leave so I didn't have them change it. They were very slow getting our food to us also. I don't think I got the 100% whole wheat bread that I ordered either. The bread was very light and not like any bread I buy. If you like light fluffy airy bread, sugar, oil meats, dairy and junk food pastries then you wouldn't mind eating here if you have the time and money to waste! I saw other people's salads in our group and they didn't look very good with not many veggies except lettuce and meat. I don't recommend eating here if your health matters to you! I am glad I didn't have to pay for the meal because my husbands work paid for it. read more

Ordered turkey sandwich the bread was rock hard and the turkey looked like it had been in the fridge for months. I ended up eating sample bread. My husband got a French dip and the sandwich and the au jus were cold like they forgot to warm it up. I brought the au jus up to be warmed up and I got treated as if I were a inconvenience when they forgot to have the hot sandwich be hot in the first place. Ok not a fan of kneaders, but I decided to try again because the misses wanted to go. We ordered after 5 minutes of waiting in line. My wife ordered the salad with artichoke, portabella mushroom soup. I tried the pastrami on aseago cheese bread. We found some seats and waited patiently. After talking for a while our food came. It took about 10 minutes, I thought it was pretty slow for sandwiches. I didnt realize after the first couple of bites until I bit into a big grain, but they brought me the wrong kind of bread; they put my pastrami on multi grain. I brought it back to them and ask for the correct sandwich. They brought me my sandwich after a few minutes, but I was missing the bitten half of my sandwich. Granted I took two bites; where is all my sandwich? Instead I got a cookie with the other half of my sandwich. At this point I just wanted to hurry and get out and find somewhere else to go. The sandwich was remade using everything on the original one and they just replaced the bread. It was a plain sandwich, nkthing special with two slices of pastrami. Can you say thrifty! The only thing good out of everything was the soup was actual pretty food but the small cup was really small. All in all I wont be back to another kneaders again. read more

The food would have been 3 stars, I got a bacon and cheddar sandwich and it was a decent meal for a good price. The guy who took our order was a jerk though. I wish I would have gotten his name so that I could earn everyone... But it was my first visit to kneaders and I do plan to return. So 2 stars for the bad customer service.. Tonight we went to Kneaders in Midvale and ordered a chicken Caesar salad & a Turkey, bacon & avocado salad. There was hardly any chicken on the salad, tons of croutons, much more than the chicken, and I paid $2 more for extra chicken, and old lettuce. Overpriced, bland food, and the worst/slowest service of any restaurant in town. I have waited 50 minutes in line at the drive through (more like park through) window of this place with only 3 cars ahead of me. Good luck getting out the door for less than 15 bucks a head for a sandwich you can make at home 3x better a quarter of the price. The workers are surley and nobody has a set job so nothing gets done efficiently. I would give zero stars if possible, and the staff should tip YOU for even walking in the door. read more

Kneaders, my absolute favorite! The soup is to die for. Except, their breakfast is by far the best! The all you can eat french toast is fully loaded. Although after one serving, you will be stuffed. It comes with two LARGE pieces of french toast, a delicious cream cheese, topped with fresh strawberries. The syrup is also home-made with a Cinnamon taste and warm. I've been to Kneaders before, but this was my first time at this location. It was so, SO yummy!!! The workers were super sweet and helpful. I couldn't decide what to get for breakfast after work and they were so patient while they were waiting for me. I got the Chunky Cinnamon French Toast, and it was heavenly! It doesn't sound like Matt W. knows what he's talking about so I thought I'd get on here and clarify that he doesn't know anything about Kneaders. For one, I've never, NEVER been cheated on the amount of meat on their sandwiches. Seriously, you probably ate there once and received bad service and then made up everything you could to trash them. Comparing their Rueben to Crown Burger.....are you kidding me?!?! Every time I eat at Crown Burger or Apollo Burger, I get sick to my stomach after. I've had their pastrami burger before, plenty of times. It is overloaded with grease. If you like that Matt, by all means keep eating greasy food they serve at Crown or Apollo. You need to go back to Kneaders and try a Turkey Ranch or Turkey Bacon Avocado if you just can't bear a French Dip, Rueben or Muffallatta. I really doubt You've been there more than once and when you did go, you were unfortunate enough to get a mishap on your order. When you want to bash a restaurant, please go there more than once. read more

Today I brought my family here, they are visiting from California. I ordered a turkey cafe sandwich with extra onions and my mom ordered the same with regular onions. My brother and boyfriend ordered salad and sandwiches. Upon driving away I realized I received a sandwich with one, ONE onion. As in one sliver of onion. My mother's sandwich had no onions at all. To top it off they did not give us any forks to eat the aforementioned salads. It seems like joke that ONE onion should appear on a sandwich at all! read more

We ate breakfast there twice on a recent visit to SLC. The omelettes were satisfying, the bread delicious, although we had to ask for jam. Chocolate chip cookies were good although not as sumptuous as Paradise Bakery's. I prefer the atmosphere at Kneaders, however--more intimate and comfortable--and with a far better array of baked goods. Hadn't meant to do a comparison, but it is definitely a good idea to visit both. read more

I loved this place. Best sandwiches I've had in Salt Lake. I loved their fresh breads and the fact that it's a full bakery as well as cafe. Their desserts looked amazing and were way cheaper than a lot of other places. I restrained myself and didn't try one, although they had cookie samples out that were delicious! It's really reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get. Even though I live near the U, I'm totally willing to make the drive out there for this place (and Target.) Fortunately, I haven't had the same experience with their service as the previous reviewer so there's nothing stopping me from going back. read more

I have to admit, I'm a huge Kneaders fan. Tonight's take out was extremely disappointing. I ordered the turkey, bacon, ranch salad, like I always do. My fiance ordered the French dip sandwich, like he always does. I feel like, for $9.00, my salad should consist of more than a whole lot of, anything but fresh, romaine lettuce, a couple of teenie pieces of cucumber, one tomato, 2 paper thin slices of avocado and two very small strips of turkey. I ordered sour dough bread, which comes with the salad, which I did not get. Usually the French dip is slightly toasted, with a good portion of meat. This time, the bread wasn't toasted and did not taste fresh. There was very little meat on it. Kneaders is not cheap. We frequent their establishment enough to know the way dishes are typically prepared. Tonight was a total disappointment. It will be a long time, if ever, before we go back to Kneaders. read more

The only reason I'm giving a second star is because they have great tasting carrot cake, even though 65% of it is frosting..... Seriously. When I order pre made cookies and cake there is absolutely no reason I should wait for 20 minutes to get it. This location has no system at all. I stood and watched all the employees scrambling around literally bumping into each other getting absolutely nothing done while I waited for the food I could see behind the glass. I thought maybe the reason was because the drive through received first priority so I tried that out tonight and was I ever wrong. Honestly don't think I'll be back... I am not sure what has happened to this Kneaders in particular. I go there way more than I should but these last few times I have been there have been less than par... The food is dry. They don't bake everyday...it is all old. They had cleaner (for the tables) and her dirty rag right where they prep the food...I asked if the brownies were from today and he said they were baked yesterday...It was Monday....they are not open on Sundays..they were left over from Saturday. I don't know about you but if I am going to ingest all those calories it needs to be FRESH! Their chips were stale, I ordered a sandwich they didn't get it right and they didn't toast it, I ordered a kids meal they charged me for drinks on top of the kids meal. Have stopped in a few times for quick cup of soup, and maybe a half sandwich. Noticed curbside sign that a 'crab roll special' was available. It only took 30 yds for my 'eastcoast' palate to emerge. My crab-roll- a healthy portion of crab salad served on a sweet white bun, fresh'green leaf' lettuce, and topped with thinly sliced avocado arrived. What a treat! I requested a different bread when ordering, only to discover that this is a NEW menu item. Kneaders' is in a 'market test' phase to see how it works. So....no substitutions allowed. Yep, the best choice is 'just as it is'!! Hope this will not be 'only a seasonal option'. Could be my new favorite sandwich to order!! read more
