Later that day, I saw Sin posted on their instagram that they were unfortunately closing the retail storefront and going back to focusing on custom cakes and speciality dessert orders. The last day the bakery will be open is Sunday, September 21st. I was so glad I was able to stop by before they closed.

They sell fresh filled cannolis, cakes, cookies, pastries, etc. The small shop has a classic feel. On this visit, I just bought a box of cannolis. They had an option of a traditional filling, or with chocolate chips. They also had options for capping the ends. I chose chocolate chips for the chocolate chip filling, and pistachio for the traditional filling. I tried the traditional with pistachio. The shell is lighter than most of the places where I've bought cannolis. The filling was mildly sweet, very smooth and had a very slight fruit flavor. Perhaps from orange zest? In my experience, Scialo Bros is a cool place to visit and has good treats.

Ordered cookies for a coworkers last night but the 2nd party delivery service (not insomnia…read morecookies) through Yelp messed up, looked like they delivered to a private residence a few doors away on the delivery app. I contacted insomnia cookies as I didn't have the driver contact info and they said they'd contact door dash for me, Yelp delivery didn't specify who the delivery service was when I ordered. I later found out it was actually grub hub by a text message and I contacted them. Insomnia cookies had the original charge cancelled and remade and delivered my order. I believe the original Order was located and redelivered or dropped off by the person they were mistakenly sent to as Several boxes arrived with my name on them. The cookies were moist, warm, and everyone raved about them! It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to an excellent nurse. A huge thank you to the staff at insomnia cookies for assisting with and rectifying a second party delivery issue (from now on we will exclusively use delivery from you only). For food, we went with the Korean Chicken Sando, which was excellent, and caught a half-priced Steak Skewers appetizer that was a perfectly cooked medium-rare and honestly fantastic.
