If not for the owner's behavior, this would be a five-star review. Bruce and Ryne, the two movers who showed up, were phenomenal--professional, respectful, and tireless. They worked quickly but carefully, took only one short break, and kept positive attitudes through an exhausting fourteen-hour day. They were the bright spot in an otherwise dark experience. We chose Clark & Sons because their website emphasizes "strength in unity," professionalism, and care. Sadly, none of those values were reflected in how we were treated. Our written quote clearly stated $189 per hour for a three-man crew and one truck to move our three-bedroom home about twenty-five miles. On October 11, only two movers arrived at 9:15 a.m. They immediately called the company to report they needed help. We overheard multiple calls throughout the day asking for assistance, yet no one was ever sent. Because there were only two movers instead of three, the job took from 9:15 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. At the end of the night, Ryne called the owner, Clark, to discuss payment and handed the phone to my husband. My husband first praised Bruce and Ryne for their hard work, then raised the issue of the missing third mover. Clark's response was hostile, abusive, and threatening. He called us "thieves," said he was driving to Indianapolis and would "turn his car around" to come to our house to "embarrass us in front of our neighbors", and physically attack my husband. When my husband confronted him about his behavior, Clark threatened to call the sheriff. His aggression destroyed any sense of trust. We refused to provide our credit card number, fearing he might overcharge us, and instead requested a secure payment link like the one used for our deposit. Five days later, on October 16 around 11 p.m., my husband began receiving repeated calls from 513-264-2622. When he finally answered, the same man admitted it was him--the same Clark who had threatened us--and said he was "frustrated that day." He then demanded that my husband make me remove a review, even though I had not written one. When my husband refused, Clark continued calling--**six times between 10:49 and 11:04 p.m.--**and finally texted: "If you get that review removed, I'll give you $1,000 right now." Screenshots confirm both the quote and the repeated calls. Sadly, the harassment has continued with more calls today. And so NOW I am writing a review. We've moved many times, across states and even internationally, and have never experienced such unethical and threatening conduct from a moving company--let alone from its owner. Adding to the irony, Clark & Sons promotes itself as a Christian, family-owned business. Their trucks display Bible verses and crosses, and they advertise in the Christian Blue Pages under the phrase "Strength in Unity." At the end of the walk through, Jared reviewed what it would take to move all of my belongings and reassured me that all items to be moved would easily fit into their standard moving van. He also said he, Jared, would arrive on the day of the move with a crew of very capable and experienced guys. However, in the day of the move Jared never showed and left me with crew with very little experience. From the very start leader expressed to me that he had doubts that everything would fit in the truck and subsequently the storage unit I had, the size of which I chose based on Jared's reassurances. From the very beginning, the crew repeatedly packed and repacked the truck to make it all fit and by the time it was fully loaded and ready to go to the storage unit they had been working for 5+ hours which was already more than the 4.5 hours I was told would be the time for the entire move, loading and unloading. When we reached the storage unit, the process was repeated. The crew began unloading but each person had a different opinion of how to get everything in the storage units. By the time everything was out of the truck and stored away, it was past 9 pm. Eleven plus hours from start to finish. At that point, the lead crew member spoke with Jared, he blamed everything on me as if my input caused them to turn into absolute morons who couldn't move their way out of a paper bag. I was present for the entire move but the only suggestions or requests I made were only made when the crew leader came to me and asked what he should do. I did ask, since I had rented 2 storage units that they try to put the furniture in the indoor unit. But when I saw the confusion that ensued, I simply told them to pack as they saw fit and that I did not want to get in their way.I I would not recommend Robinson Relocations to anybody. Shown following are random facts associated with our Robinson Relocations experience over the course of the last two (2) weeks. 1) long breaks like exceeding a half hour in residence bathrooms only to exit leaving super strong chemical smells? 2) Half eaten bags of food left everywhere along with empty beverage cans 3) Missed loads (not individual items mind you) simply left at residence we were moving from. 4) Items moved into incorrect locations inside new home and then simply thrown in huge piles regardless of being marked. 5) Damaged priceless furniture without little recourse for remediation regardless of having written a special FVR (Full Value Replacement). 6) Bangs, dents, nicks, scrapes and general surface blemishes in virtually everything they touched. 7) Demonstrated little to no genuine care for what they were doing and the property they were being entrusted with. 8) Left full size furniture pieces outside of new home and simply driving off. This list could simply go on and on and to top it all off was the fact that we were charged almost 2x the owners quote! We were quoted by the owner an estimated total cost of $3,318.00 for the move. Final price cane in at $5,785.80 and thats with us having to cover all of the above. Please do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.
