I hired KN to clean my house prior to moving in. The house was fully rehabbed, so there was a lot of construction dust that had settled, but everything was brand new. Carlos gave me a rather high estimate for a deep cleaning, but I committed since it was too much work to do on my own. His sister and another girl came to view the house for a consultation, and I was under the impression they would be doing the cleaning. But on the day of, a young guy and girl showed up. I explained to them (with Carlos translating) that I only wanted the floors, woodwork, bathrooms, and kitchen done. I didn't want any of the walls wiped down (new wallpaper/paint) nor any of the furniture touched (all brand new). They were also annoyed when I told them the basement floor was included in the price. They were there for 4 hours and when they left, the floors still had stains (see photo.. I later got them up with a wet rag so they were not embedded); my brand new furniture had been vacuumed (see photo); my wood shutters were still filled with dust; the shower door was still filled with the construction paste; and there was a knick in my wall, which I'm assuming came from carrying the vacuum upstairs. I will be hiring someone else to come and finish the job. Do NOT waste your money on KN Cleaning! read more

I should have read all the reviews carefully because I had a similar experience as some of the negative reviews. First, I am giving it 2 stars because Carlos was very responsive and was able to fit in the cleaning within 2 days. Which I genuinely appreciate. I had told him that it had been a couple of months since the house had been cleaned and that I would take the "deep cleaning" they had offered. I was willing to pay $180 because I knew that it would require some work for a 3 bedroom place. The "deep cleaning" is a scam as mentioned by another reviewer. IlThat said, what I found unprofessional was the inefficient use of time and not giving anything a deep cleaning. I had to tell them to wipe the blinds or clean the fixtures. My house needed quite a bit of cleaning but provided there were 3 people each could have done a room within an hour but they kept doing somethings and moving around. It was wasting time. The deep cleaning did not include wiping of blinds, cleaning cabinet tops, wiping down, cleaning some of the appliances. Very basic cleaning. I had asked to clean the fridge and they did a very poor job. When I complained to Carlos he claimed that 3 people means 11 hours of cleaning which is ridiculous- by no means was this a 3 person job nor 11 hours worth of cleaning. Edit: I'm pretty sure their friends and family do their reviews. I don't know what to think of this service. On the one hand, Carlos said he could send out cleaners the same day (my previous cleaner backed out last minute). Unfortunately, they were almost an hour late with no warning, no phone calls. I called and Carlos said they were on their way. He said he sent a team of three to make it go quickly. I had to call Carlos and he said they were at the front desk of my building. Twenty minutes later (?) they came upstairs to clean. Some of the first words: "No English." I spoke their language but that was not a good way to start. But ok fine. The third person they brought, a guy, was being trained in how to clean by another cleaner, taking up time and defeating the purpose of having three cleaners. They threw away my small bag of medical supplies, including my hospital tape and an antibiotic cream that I said specifically was not garbage multiple times. I think they thought it was garbage but common sense would be to ask for clarification. Unfortunately, it was so late by the time they were finishing that I was too tired to do so myself. Also, they ruined my sweater which they either left hanging in the bathroom as they cleaned or touched with cleaning supplies. It now has a lovely bleach mark on it. Sigh!!!! One woman said there were no hangers. I had to go to my closet to find hangers for her. Seriously. Still, she managed to creatively hang up my clothes. The next morning, I went to get clothes for work and found some interesting dynamics which you can see in the photos. My apartment is clean now, so I am grateful for that. These are the types of cleaners whom you have to hand hold since they do not think a lot on their own. Quite disappointed for the cleaning service and will not recommend if you want your place spot clean. Start with the good- the scheduling process was pretty easy, the owner/manager is flexible and willing to negotiate timing. The cleaners showed up on time, actually a bit early, so nothing to complain there. Both of the barely speak any English, so it is hard to communicate what I want to clean the most, but we kinda worked it out with translation app. Then comes the disappointing and unprofessional parts - not sure if it a really small business, they barely have any cleaning supplies, a very old vacuum, a few worn out mops, a bucket of cleaning supplies (which they ended up not using much since using mine is more cost saving for them I guess...). I own better, more powerful vacuum than they do! After 1.5 hours cleaning, I still feel dirt on the surface and see my hairs here and there in all rooms! When I booked the service, I specifically requested rug cleaning, and the manager confirmed it was included in the agreed price. For me rug cleaning means more than just vacuuming the carpet, or else why would I mention it separately than other flooring??! It would be steaming or at least spray clean it and get the trapped dirt out. However the cleaners just vacuumed it like the hardwood floor, didn't even spend any extra time on it... They did clean my toilet and sink pretty well-after using almost a full bottle of MY toilet bowl cleaner and 2 mega rolls of paper towels! I don't care much if they use my supplies (the first thing they asked for upon entering is paper towels and trash bags), but use in moderation or as your own, not squander it since it is not your own!! (and took my scrub brush - probably by accident, but still now I have to buy new supplies) Anyways, after 2-people 1.5 hrs, wasting a bunch of supplies and $$, I still end up doing extra cleaning myself to complete the mediocre cleaning job... :( read more

Carlos and his team did an exceptional move-in cleaning for me and my fiancé. He was very prompt with responding to my request for a quote and answered all of my questions when we spoke on the phone. He was able to book my move-in cleaning for the next day and him and his team were on time and courteous. It was a very hot day and not a single complaint was made regarding the temperature since the A/C had been off for a few days in the home. I have been using KN cleaning services for my house cleaning for the past few months now and I have been happy with their services. Its always been easy to schedule or re-schedule appointments and the manager Carlos is very responsive and usually responds within 24 hours. He is also very flexible and and accommodates time that works best for us. They work on weekends which is very convenient! But I guess once they saw my house was just a regular middle class home in the urban area....and I only can hire them once a month...now here comes the un-professionalism. Wish I could review this company on how well it cleans, but they never showed up. I was supposed to have a 3:30 cleaning appointment, and by 4:30 nobody had shown up, and no calls or texts either. When I finally called to "cancel," I was told that their job earlier in the day was supposed to be a regular clean, but upon arrival they were asked for a deep clean instead, which would take longer. But instead of telling me right away, so I could reschedule or at least change my evening plans to accommodate, they did nothing, only explaining after I called them. When I did my initial cleaning with them, it was so great that I decided to move forward with ongoing service. I never complained about service until 1 time the 2 girls that were sent didn't clean the floors properly and instead of taking out the garbage, they threw it in my garage. I texted their owner about it, he said he would follow up but never heard back. No apologies, no "sorry about that this won't happen again", no "sorry that was your experience, we'll make sure to correct this". The next time they were supposed to clean again, I texted the owner asking for the time the girls would show up (I always had to ask because it seemed like he never had a proper schedule). I work from home and I have a 15 month old and I coordinate my day so we stay out of the way when they do clean. I told him that I would like to reschedule if the same girls that I had complaints about would show up again. I'd rather reschedule for different girls (again I never had a complaint before). He was so rude, telling me that my floors weren't cleaned properly the last time because my daughter was running around throwing food on the floor after they had mopped. I can't explain to you how angry that comment made me when every single time, I feed my daughter before they show up and make sure I clean after her before they even get to the kitchen. I stay downstairs when they clean upstairs and go upstairs when they come downstairs. My point is I always stay out of their way. The last time they came to clean I went down to the basement to put my daughter down for her nap and one of the girls opened the basement door screaming to me "MISS" while I was rocking my daughter and that woke her back up. Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM THIS LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM!!! ------ The response of the owner Carlos below is epic!!! So laughable. When I saw the amazing job KN Cleaning did on my house I nearly cried. This was a move out clean and the house was in deplorable condition. I spent the weekend cleaning out garbage and items left behind so they could focus on the deep cleaning. I don't know how they got the bathroom tile and marble to look so good. I've seen gas station bathrooms look better then before they started. They even wiped down the walls. Carlos was quick to respond with a quote that was very reasonable, got my job scheduled quickly and the cleaners arrived on schedule. I have had Carlos and his team coming to clean for several months. They do a great job with a basic, regular cleaning service. We have two cats, two kids and a dog. There is a lot of fur and dirt to get rid of. They do a great job with vacuuming and mopping, as well as getting my kitchen and bathrooms nice and clean. They are quick, flexible with time changes to meet my needs, and I love that they accept payment through PayPal (and Venmo, I think). The only downside is that it is not the same cleaning person every time. That said, for the most part they are pretty consistent. My son bought a Gift card using Groupon for my birthday a month ago. I tried calling to get an appointment set and after playing "phone tag" for a week I finally got Carlos on the phone. He told me that he is no longer accepting Groupon and there is nothing else he could do for me. I asked him to send me an email stating this, so that I would it in writing and my son could get his money back. He said "ok, whats your email address?" I spell it out carefully and slowly for him and ask him to repeat it back and thats when he let me know that he was NOT sending me the email and just kept repeating that I need to contact Groupon Customer Service eventully hung up on me stating there was nothing he could do. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning and my place was practically immaculate - not easy to do, as it hadn't been properly cleaned in years. However, they were also very careless and ended up costing me money on top of what I paid for cleaning. They damaged the toilet seat and put things in the garbage disposal which did not belong there. I ended up paying a plumber $150 to replace the toilet seat and fish things out of the garbage disposal. I managed to retrieve rubber bands, coins and a screw from the garbage disposal and the plumber retrieved over half a dozen coins. I must admit that it was a bad idea for me to leave coins on the kitchen counter, but still, the cleaners should have taken care not to get them in the sink and the drain. Also, since the cleaners' visit, I have been missing my favorite drinking glass and a measuring cup. There were several old toothbrushes in the kitchen which I used for cleaning and I can't find those either. The fact that the cleaners did not speak English was a problem. I told the woman (there was a man and a woman) not to clean the refrigerator but she cleaned it anyway and rearranged everything, which drove me crazy. If I were to rate this company strictly on the quality of the cleaning, they would get a high rating, but because of the problems I experienced I cannot recommend them. read more

Carlos was great! My husband and I moved so we need someone to clean the old house we rented before returning the key. I scheduled the cleaning service with Carlos on Friday but the movers where so unorganized so we did not get everything out of the house in time for Carlos to arrive and start cleaning.
