THE best guided experience hiking & ice climbing in Jewel Lake! Jake was our guide and did an amazing job guiding us through the most beautiful scenery. This was our first time in Estes Park and ice climbing. Jake provided great instruction, was easy going, friendly and helpful. We had an epic time and can't thank Jake and KMAC enough. Highly recommend to anyone looking to have a memorable time.

What an awesome company! Brad our guide was extremely friendly and epic from start to finish. We did the Via Ferrata and had quite the adventure. Brad took his time and made sure we took the pace that agreed with us. I even turned around early, fear of heights, and didn't feel pressured. The whole area is beautiful and the hike to the climb was gorgeous upon itself. Great selections of adventures from this company and awesome guides. If you want some cool things to do while in Estes, check KMAC out!

If you are planning to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, you must book a guided tour with Kent Mountain Adventure Center (KMAC)! We were staying in Estes Park for a couple of days and were overwhelmed with the hiking options in the area. We booked a guided hike with KMAC and they did all the planning for us....plus we had a very knowledgeable guide who led us on the hike. We provided some basic information about the kind of hike we were interested in (length, terrain, difficulty, etc.) and they came up with several options. Our guide was Ioana, and she was wonderful and very sweet. She checked in with us the day before the hike to make sure we were prepared and to answer any questions we had. The weather ended up being quite unpredictable on the day of the hike. We woke up to snowy conditions, but Ioana was prepared with trekking poles and spikes for our shoes. She let us pick from a few hikes that are good in snowy conditions. We did the Bridal Veil hike and it was absolutely stunning with the snow. We got so many beautiful pictures and videos, including videos of deer on the trail and two waterfalls. There were a couple tricky spots on the trail, and Ioana helped me through them. She brought hot chocolate in a thermos that we drank at the halfway point of the hike....it was a nice little treat. She was great company and we felt spoiled to have her as our personal guide for the day. She also gave us several restaurant recommendations for the area we were staying. Thank you Ioana and KMAC for the memorable experience!

we climbed with Hayden, who made the last day of our trip to RMNP a blast! we are both beginners but both were able to pick up belaying quickly, thanks to Hayden's quirky memory cues! Had a great time, can't wait to do more climbing in the gym now

While my wife and I have done a fair amount of hiking on our own, we decided to splurge and engage a guide in Estes Park, which is the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park, to facilitate our excursion. It was money very well spent. Our guide, Reed, was incredibly personable and knowledgeable. We had outlined several things we wanted to see, and he fully accommodated us. He was mindful of our desired pace and ages (given the elevation), took us on the right trails, and was able to explain about the fauna and flora throughout our journey, which was roughly 11 miles at elevation. We had a spectacular time. We did learn that we could talk or we could hike, but at an elevation which was foreign to us, it was sometimes difficult to do both.

Dom, one of our amazing guides...

Communication was fast and i had zero issues with anything in the program. Jason is absolutely incredible, Humongous knowledge base but beyond that he has a massive amount of experience and is an incredible teacher. Very detail and safety oriented. I did my first 2 multi pitch climbs with him and felt extremely prepared before setting off on the climbs. Jason kept me safe the whole way and coached and thought throughout. I am taking level 2 with them in a couple of days and have no doubt that will be a 10 start experience. My skill level and knowledge base has increased exponentially. I can't recommend CMS and Jason Antin highly enough. If you have an interest in anything outdoor do yourself a favor and take a course with CMS. The best experience hiring a guide i have ever had.

I was able to book a bed in a co-ed shared dorm for like $80 that night and it was pretty decent. They have a nice big parking lot and when I arrived one of the staff came from a nearby cabin and helped me move my bags inside. They have clear instructions about everything inside, it was a smooth check in and checkout. I would def stay again - it was perfect as a single night after a long day of hiking in the national park, and an early morning again hiking in the national park the next day. Decently clean too, and very homely :)

Seriously, millions of visitors enjoy the park every year. I stayed in the gateway town of Estes Park, which is literally minutes away from the park entrance. I did the Nymph, Dream, Emerald, and Haiyaha Lakes via Nymph Lake Trail, as well as Bear Lake. The trails were in great condition, and even though the trails were heavily trafficked, everyone was pretty courteous. The views were simply amazing. Do note that you might need to be acclimated to the higher atmosphere (=thinner air) and so hiking may be more difficult than your usual if you're coming from lower elevations. I visited during elk mating season, and while I did see elk in the park, I saw even more in the parks of Estes Park!

One of the Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, RMNP sits just outside of Estes Park and 90 minutes from Denver. We camped at Moraine Park and with that came a guaranteed timed entry and all access to the park. It was the perfect way to avoid booking entry to the park and separate booking for Bear Lake area. Our campsite had a phenomenal view on Long's Peak and was walking distance to Elk meadow. Every morning and evening we were front row to the bull elk bugling and enjoyed a great camping experience. We saw so much wildlife but the stand outs were, Moose. Elk. Deer. Coyotes. Fox. Marmot. Pika. Blue Jay. The park is a spectacular spotlight on the Rocky Mountains. We hiked from meadows to mountain tops and enjoyed many epic views and endless fresh air. Got caught in a big rain storm and watched a hiker find his missing keys!! Please note, elk meadow is restricted a bit during this time to let the elk mate. We watched a coupled disregard that and wander down to get wedding photos near the elk herd, wedding dress and all. Park security did not find that amusing. I'm sure those were very expensive wedding photos lol. So much to see and experience. Now I understand why every tourist coming to Colorado needs to see this park.

I did the day tour of Rocky Mountain National Park highlights and couldn't have been happier. According to many, I was going at the wrong time. I did this tour in the off season (Nov 09). The weather was cold and part of the high road closed; however, in my honest opinion, I couldn't have asked for more. The park was bare of tourists. I got to experience the wilderness without battling the crowds. PERFECT! Mother nature truly puts on a show in the Rockies and thanks to Nick (tour guide for the day) we saw some of America's great scenery. Despite spending the day in the national park I am acutely aware of how little we saw in the grand scheme of things; however, thanks to BWS we couldn't have gotten a better taste of the glory that is the Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) If you go in the later months of the year be sure to pack a coat, and (of course!) your camera. We saw natures beauty at it's best from the high snowy peaks to the frozen lakes and grassy plains. The animals came out on show as well; both elk and coyote! Joshua is the man on the ground when it comes to liaising with Boulder Wilderness Shuttle. He kept in touch from the first time I made contact to the days I spent in Boulder. Offering more than just a tour he had great advice on local activites and accommodation. He makes it his business to ensure safety for his clients while providing activities to remember. Boulder Wilderness Shuttle offers an exceptional service and sets a high standard for its competitors. I'll be back!
