Great half day with Seth. Three middle agers had a fantastic first lesson. Seth is a good guide and we may very well go again.

Just completed my first guided outdoor climbing experience ever with Jason Antin (our guide), and…read moreall I can say is 'WOW'. I was completely blown away.. What an experience!! Jason was awesome! He explained everything, providing expert guidance throughout our climb of the 3rd Flatiron. I had never done any technical outdoor climbs before, all indoor, but living in Boulder, I felt this was a must. I was a little nervous at first, but I never felt unsafe, and the more we climbed, the easier it all felt. The summit? Spectacular! I can never look at the Flatirons again the same way. Repelling off the back was just as fun. Again, never done it before, but Jason walked us through it all and made it seem so easy. Yeh, I got the bug, and I can't wait to do it again! If you've been thinking about it.. if it's been on your mind.. don't wait anymore. DO IT! You will thank yourself you did.

I was able to book a bed in a co-ed shared dorm for like $80 that night and it was pretty decent. They have a nice big parking lot and when I arrived one of the staff came from a nearby cabin and helped me move my bags inside. They have clear instructions about everything inside, it was a smooth check in and checkout. I would def stay again - it was perfect as a single night after a long day of hiking in the national park, and an early morning again hiking in the national park the next day. Decently clean too, and very homely :)

The team were all super friendly and made the process of getting ready super simple. After a short drive, we arrived at the camp where we began the hike to get our gear. The hike up was fairly easy and pretty short. Once at the cabin, maybe 3/4 of the way up, everyone was given their gear after a thorough demonstration of how everything works. Very reassuring! The last leg of the hike was a more intense, but very doable. About 35-40 total hike time to the start of the Via Feratta. It was intimidating staring at the mountain, but TJ was able to make things a lot lighter by joking around. Without TJ and his calm and supporting energy, I would've never been able to complete the Via Ferrata. Overall, the Via Ferrata was a lot of fun. It was no where near how difficult I thought it would be. If anyone is conceding doing this challenge, do it! You won't regret it.

This was our first stop on our hike heading into the forrest and it was an easy climb. These falls are loud and proud plus incredibly pretty. The falls thunder down Glacier Creek due to the heavy snowmelt. It's definitely a favorite spot for many people as it's only 1.6 miles so it's easy to access. Remember to pace yourself due to the altitude. I witnessed lots of huffing and puffing from people having to stop and catch their breath. We stayed long enough to take some pics and watch the falls and then moved on. Plenty of seating all around the falls for everyone. It's great short hike for those that just want to feel like they are "out there". Views are truly epic as is the entire park. Parking earlier in the day can be challenging. I recomment arriving very early or come later in the afternoon to secure a spot. Remember to pack in, pack out and LEAVE NO TRACE.

This was our first time in park and we came in late May so did not expect all the snow and the slush on the trail so that was really awesome. Lots of elevation change as you climb up and down the trail and several small bridges that traverse all the small mountain springs. We saw a few blooming flowers, blue jays, chipmunks, and we spotted a baby rainbow trout hiding in a little pool in one of the springs. Incredible views of the Rocky Mountains and one you get to the falls it's a nice place to take a nice relaxing break in the many rock formations. Great hike.

RMNP is no exception and this is incredible and breathtaking. We came in late May and surprisingly plenty of snow left so you get this winter yet spring vibe. Weather report cold yet with the sun just perfect temperature for hiking. Plan ahead as they have time entry restrictions and even with those park is really busy but big enough to be able to get away from crowds. They have shuttles and the town of Estes is close enough for any amenities such as food that the park may not have. Can't wait to come back and explore other parts of the park.

That includes things like banana peels and orange rinds! Don't leave anything behind! Enjoy this absolutely gorgeous national park!!

They call it "Many Parks" because Moraine Park, Upper Beaver Meadows and Horseshoe Park are all visible at this viewpoint with Deer Mountain and Longs Peak in the background. I could even see parts of Estes Park. It is such a breathtaking view and one of my favorite viewpoints. I stood here for some time and took it all in. There is parking near the viewpoint and an overflow lot on the other side of the road. The viewpoint itself is located at a sharp turn on Trail Ridge Road.
