You might expect a quality company that does the right things given it's a family legacy concrete business of 90 years, but that is NOT what they provide. Dealing with them was a nightmare. FCON cut corners, knowingly did unpermitted work that failed two city codes, was caught by an inspector, then charged me extra to fix it while holding my driveway hostage despite an "expedited" timeline, took my money immediately but rarely showed up to do the job even with frequent follow-up calls, alternated between no communication and lying to me repeatedly, and took 2.5 weeks for a small job, which is 5 times longer to complete than an average job stated in their contract. The cleanup was substandard, leaving splatters all over the front screen door, deep concrete tire grooves in the front yard and a sprinkling of grass seed, and the re-worked section is a noticeably different color from the rest of the driveway. Who knows what other corners were cut or how long it will last? Word to the wise: Reputable companies will obtain proper permits and inspections rather than actively avoiding them. If the contract states that the homeowner is to obtain permits, immediately find a different company!

They came in, did their "assessment," and told me exactly what needed to be done. I paid for two walls to be repaired. When it was done, I thought the nightmare was finally over. It wasn't. The water still comes in at every edge; it's the exact same places they told me they were sealing. When I actually looked at what they'd done, it wasn't a real repair at all. It looked like plastic sheeting stapled up behind the wall. For $30,000. I am a senior, and I feel like I was taken advantage of and scammed by this company. Now there's mold growing in my basement because of their failed work. I have a tenant living there, and she is pregnant. Black mold is not something you can ignore; it's a real health risk for her and her baby. This wasn't a minor issue. This should have been fixed correctly the first time for that kind of money. At the first…read moremeeting with one of their staff I was taken with their straightforward honesty and expertise and chose them over another well known firm to fix my basement. Their pricing was very fair and when the crew arrived to do the work they were friendly, polite and capable. The work was done well and they left the work areas neat and clean, no mess or debris left behind. Weeks later a heavy rain revealed some leakage behind a couple electrical receptacles I had thought were too much trouble to remove and hoped we could get away with not sealing the cracks behind them. When I called them back they were on it immediately and scheduled a follow-up visit to address the leaks. I was able to remove the electrical boxes to give them access and found another 4 feet of cracks besides. They arrived right on time, repaired both the hidden and the newfound cracks and did it all at no charge, even though it was no fault of theirs. I am truly impressed with the quality of their people and their work. I could not recommend High and Dry any more highly.

After some research, we felt good about calling Terry and the crew and scheduled them to come out for a quote. When we met with Terry to get his vision for a retaining wall; he was friendly and knew what we wanted from the start. He was able to match the brick work that was already pre-existing in the back of our house; which was a plus! Terry and his crew scheduled a time to come out to work on the wall; and they made it look awesome! They made sure to include drainage areas and the tiered looks is just what we wanted for the steep incline in our yard. Not only do we use GLC for our retaining wall, we also use them to treat our yard and do most of the yard work. When we first moved in, our yard was filled with mostly weeds and we had a "grub" problem. Well, with their help, our yard is looking better and the grass is actually green and well taken care of! They do all sorts of treatment throughout the year for us at a decent rate and we are so lucky to have them come out to mow the lawn too!
