They we're always respectful and detailed. If they found issues while I was at home, they would call me, tell me, give me the option if I want them to fix it. My quotes always matched my bill. I tend to ask a lot of questions because that's how I learn. They took me to my car and showed me the issue. Then showed me what it SHOULD look like, no car place ever did that. I had a new found respect for them after they did that. I always do my research no matter what the situation is. That way, I know what to ask and to expect.

When I asked for a breakdown of the bill, he said $200 for labor & $1500 for parts. I then told him that I would need an itemized bill for the parts. He in turn started to say that he does not do that & that I would not get the same price for parts that he does. He proceeded to turn the cost around and say it was for a warranty. I said that I did not opt in for a warranty nor was I offered the option to opt in or out for one. He then said, "Ok, you can buy the parts, and I will charge you $400 in labor." The scam is real. Made a deal with Steve to replace the two front control arms (we purchased), two front tires…read more(provided by Pitcrew), an alignment and a license plate bulb for a total of $1,850+/-. So far, workmanship seems good, no price haggling after the deal was struck and work completed in a very timely manner. Steve came to my house to inspect my vehicle, drove it to his garage for repairs and returned my car to my home when complete. (Pep Boys quoted me $2,800 to replace control arms only, we felt very fortunate to find Steve. Then just recently he quoted a price of nearly $500 to replace the front and back brake pads and rotors on my wife's car, we supply the parts, we feel this price is high. With good tools the work to replace brake pads and rotors for all four wheels should take between 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Any mechanics out there looking for brake work? All in, it was good experience with Pit Crew Auto.
