I was escorted into a dental chair instead of having a face to face meeting. I asked to have a private location and it not be in a dental chair, but I was told that this is where Dr. Anderson insisted on meeting me. While I was in the waiting room, I saw Dr. Anderson sitting in his office at a desk. No one wants to have a one on one conversation with a professional while sitting in a laid-back dental chair. When I made the appointment, I made it clear to the receptionist what type of appointment I wanted to make. It is unfortunate that Dr. Anderson chooses to treat his patients this way. Needless to say, I switched dentists immediately. Stay away from this place. There are too many good dentists in the area to be treated like this.

Your room is like your own apartment so you need to provide all furnishings and linens, laundry services are included. Level of care needed for each resident can vary-along with the costs. Anything outside of your contract is added to your monthly fees, naturally. But can be a surprise if you're not aware so be careful what you ask for that's off contract. Yeah it's expensive but OMG you get what you pay for! Help. Yes. There's help when you call for it and they are there freaking immediately. It's a different world. It's next level care with compassion and humor and just outright lovely people. My dad was only there a little over 3 weeks and I was amazed at what I saw. Staff that stopped by to chat with him. Talked to him about things they were doing (telling him the next step so he was prepared) asked him questions and directly helped him based on his answers. They always follow their protocol-2 people for this task, one person in this area at all times, etc. Etc. They all took such great care of him, kept him clean and comfortable. I hate that he only had his last few weeks there, I wish I could have found this place sooner. There are all kinds of daily activities and things residents can do plus family dinner nights where you can order special meals for visitors and eat together. Other times you can hang out in your room if you want or the TV room, it's totally up to you. My dad was on the memory care side which doesn't have free access for residents to leave that wing, visitors have to be buzzed in & out. It's nice, airy, clean and decorated beautifully in all the public areas. I really miss some of the ladies that worked there too, like the memory care Director-Crystal, the techs Brigitte & April just to name a few. They kept me sane and kept me going. He is located in midtown behind the CVS building and upstairs nears John's cleaners. The building is old, the office is small, the staff is excellent and they have a great view of the lake. What more can you ask for. They have the new digital x-ray system which emits less radiation then your cell phone-that's what they tell me. The pictures look great. I've gone through a couple of hygienist but you expect that up here at the lake. They all have been great. They are friendly and professional. The ease of obtaining an appointment is wonderful, again thanks to the transient nature of the lake. Dr's Acevedo are great. I have had the pleasure of meeting both the father and son. They have not done any work on me, just exams after cleaning so I cannot judge their work. But based on comments it sounds like they know what they are doing. You really shouldn't pick a doctor totally based on YELP reviews but I hope this one will aid you in making a choice. If you pick someone else let me know. People are always asking for referrals and I like being able to give a couple out. Come visit us at the lake, you will love it.

They don't actually take insurance, they just bill your insurance and exorbitant amount and you will end up paying the difference. I tend to stay away…read morefrom the folks that like to poke and prod my mouth, unless these things are absolutely necessary. This was an emergency, folks. I had been battling an infected, impacted wisdom tooth and the antibiotics the ER gave me were winding down. I had to act fast, and my options were limited. And, I lacked the dreaded DENTAL INSURANCE. /sigh After being COMPLETELY f&$%ed over by the Dental Clinic in King's Beach (spare yourself...not very clean and more unorganized than the European wine bar I managed in SF), I was flustered and had no idea what I was going to do. A bit of research and a sad realization that I had a resounding TWO oral surgeons to choose from, I chose the closest one to my abode: Dr. Woodcock. I was defeated when I called them on the phone to make an appointment. I lack insurance and I don't make a ton of money. I was aware every single penny of savings I could muster would be gone in the blink of an eye, but they really could have made it worse. I had two "easy" teeth to remove and two "hard" teeth (the two "hard" ones had to be broken and removed in pieces and stitched up, so they were slightly more in price). I am also a HUGE PANSY (Hi, I pass out when needles enter my body!), so anestesia was mandatory. I hadn't been X-rayed in some time, either, so add that to the bill. /sigh. The total could have been way worse, especially for a specialty doctor in Tahoe. $1,515 total, no insurance, all cash. For all of that. As much as I cringe when I say it, it could have been worse....far worse. So, the day of my surgery, I follow all of their procedures and deny my body nourishment for six hours (no water/so hard). I get there, and I wait a little bit over my appointment time, but this is a doctor and we all know they run on their own time. Eventually, I'm taken back to a room and told to watch a video that explains wisdom teeth, the surgery, what can go wrong/worse-case scenarios, etc etc and then the doctor comes in and talks to me, shows me my X-rays (by the way, some SERIOUS space-age X-ray stuff going on in that office), discusses my PUTMEUNDERPLEASE options, yadda yadda yadda. He then goes directly to my boyfriend (my lovely personal nurse waiting to drive me home) and tells him to go get me a milkshake for when my surgery is over. And here is where they loose a star. It was bound to happen, but I need to explain. The doctor made no mention of an IV. He told me I wouldn't be put into deep sleep and that I might be aware of some of the surgery (but that I wouldn't hurt), but he never mentioned a needle pushing into my skin. I AM AFRAID OF NEEDLES, HI. When they told me there was an IV involved, my anxiety about the whole thing went triple-fold. And all because they didn't warn me with ample time. I huffed the shit out of the Nitrous. All-in-all, it wasn't bad. I thought I was aware through the entire thing, but after realizing the time that had passed when I "came to," it was apparent that I'm missing a half-hour or so of memory. I do remember the lovely nurses singing me Girl Scout songs (I have no idea why) and a little bit of Michael Jackson. When the whole thing was practically over, there was a little bit of movie trivia with the doctor and I was able to give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to communicate. Then they asked me if I wanted my teeth. While I was still loopy as hell. They could have asked me ANYTHING, and I would have said yes. So, now I have this creepy bag of my wisdom teeth. When my boyfriend asked what I was going to do with it, I told him I planned on giving my mother the teeth. Bwahaha. The surgery itself was top-notch. The doctor is a pleasant guy, and the nurses are SUPER nice. I have been healing up REALLY well (it's been eight days, now) and I never really swelled up that bad at all. I never even got close to chipmunk-status, actually, and I was back to work on a Wednesday (surgery on Monday afternoon). They gave me in-depth instructions on how to take care of everything and gave me all necessary tools, as well as a much-needed prescription to some Percocet. (Don't judge me. I warned you - total PANSY.) Trust me: I am a complete wimp when it comes to anything medical. I would almost rather die from some horrible illness if it means I don't have to go under the knife. My boyfriend had to practically drag me in there kicking-and-screaming, but Dr. Woodcock and his staff made it all ok. The pain was minimal compared to what it could have been, and it was all very top-notch care. I highly (HIGHLY) recommend them to anyone who needs to get those stupid "wisdom" teeth pulled. (I don't really need to, though. Dr. Woodcock is the only doctor within a 45-minute drive of my house. A lot of people I know have gone to him.) End scene.

From our first visit with Lupe, to all other visits from Dani (LPN) Connor (PT), Matt (OT), and Melissa, we were always treated with respect and dignity. They schedule when they will visit, and call when on their way. Communication was very good. Each professional is knowledgable in their tasks. Even when my mom had a heart attack during services, they helped me know what options were for furthering care. My mom is getting placed on palliative care now, but if I need home health again, Mission is definitely getting a call. They have been so supportive to the patient and family caregiver.

I don't understand how she could have missed something so obvious. Hadn't used tampons since my appointment with her, since things still weren't feeling well after the antibiotics she prescribed, so I know it was there the whole time. I now have painful complications which could have easily been avoided if she had done a more thorough job. I think she is so used to "routine checkups" that she just expects the norm and doesn't look out for the rare or unusual cases. Just hope you don't have anything legitimately wrong with you or she definitely will not catch it, and you will suffer the consequences later on. Completely untrustworthy.

Their memory care staff did not inform me that my mother had stopped eating and drinking until 3…read moredays had passed. She had also had 3 more falls I was not informed about. My mother was on hospice care and I should have been allowed to visit. By the time I was allowed to see my mother, she was incoherent and writhing in pain. My father required further assistance that he frequently did not receive. When he started hospice care, the director tried to deny my visits, and spoke to him about moving to memory care behind my back. It took an intervention from hospice care for me to be allowed to see him. The rest of the staff seems caring and pleasant, but I wouldn't trust the director to care for my plants.
