Some of the best I've had the opportunity to get to know. Next, Dr Dryden himself. I have had years and years of extensive dental work including many, many extractions and implants. Dr Dryden is the BEST oral surgeon that I have even been associated with. He is very professional and personable and is even tolerant of my occasional humor. Unlike so many in the medical field, Dr Dryden takes the time to listen and then clearly explain the procedures in terms that can be understood by his patients. My recent visit was yesterday for two extractions and one implant. I am not fond of either procedure but Dr Dryden and his staff were able to calm me as best as possible. The procedures went very smoothly. Even afterward, I experienced very little discomfort. Dr Dryden even followed up last night with a personal call (which I missed because I was sleeping). This morning...very little discomfort and I am really able to begin my normal routine, with the exception of following the post op diet restrictions. I highly recommend Dr Dryden for any oral surgery requirements.

I needed to find a new dentist as my old one of 20 years does not take my new insurance plan. This place takes all sorts of dental insurance and will show you a cost spreadsheet of the real costs so there's no surprises. The staff here is super accommodating and knows their stuff. The dentist Dr. Graber was friendly and let me know exactly what was gonna happen. I came in for an initial exam as a new patient. X-rays were done digitally and the resolution was so clear on the screen! They even have a super mini camera that takes a vid of your teeth close up so the doctor and YOU can see what's going on. He explained and showed me everything. I needed a new crown and a filling replaced. I was shown in detail on the screen what it looked like exactly and shown the cracks even on the old filling, so I knew it was really there. The filling was painless to replace and the crown was gonna be made right there in the office on this high tech digital machining device. No waiting a few weeks for a dental lab to make the crown and then come back again to have it installed. Ok, there's a $75 charge to do it the same day in the office, but that's well worth it! The crown went in easy, the machine took maybe 45 min to make it. I watched the doctor program the machine on the screen with a digital image of my teeth. My old dentist wasn't THIS high tech! I walked out with a new crown and filling and my insurance covered it all, except $75 to use that fancy crown making machine. Now I have cleanings scheduled here too. I like going to the dentist now!

Is a zero star rating a thing? Because if so, this should be it…read more My daughter has TMJ. After having TMJ surgery and her wisdom teeth removed in 2018, the next step in her journey is to have braces. After a consultation in early 2021, we decided to move forward with Courtesy Dental and utilized their payment plan. All seemed to go well until my daughter moved for college. We were told she would have access to Courtesy Dental in southern Nevada for continuing adjustments and such. We were thrilled to have a state-wide service to help her condiditon. Shortly after she moved to southern Nevada, the payment plan stopped. We inquired to find out that Courtesy Dental in Carson City no longer does orthodontics. They recommended her to get setup with a Courtesy Dental in Las Vegas (which were at their patient max). No luck! So now what do we do? We called Courtesy Dental over and over to find that the location in Carson had been sold to a dentist that did not perform orthodontics. But that's okay, right, because Courtesy Dental has other location? No again. After calling the Sparks location, we were told that we would have to pay $3100 to continue services. Why? Because that was the remaining on the account. Now I've been in the world of finance for 20+ years. I pay my bills. Courtesy Dental stopped taking the payment. I didn't stop paying the bill. In fact, I called to have them continue to take payments to find that my daughter is no longer a patient. Now the issue becomes how to we get her braces removed so we can find another solution? Well... COURTESY DENTAL WILL NOT REMOVE THEM. Nor will any other orthodontist. After this review, I am writing to the Dental Board of Examiners in Nevada. This is the WORST service. I would have payed to have this completed, as agreed to. But to drop my daughter as a patient without communication and no alternative solution? This is garbage. Do not use Courtesy Dental - EVER!

He never does procedures because of what may happen in the future, such as replacing fillings or crowns. He is not only my dentist but has also become my friend.

No complaints there. My problem is with the company. I thought they were a new, local outfit who could get me in quick because they hadn't yet built a clientele. I was unaware that Aspen Dental is a nationwide, 1,000+ location corporate/franchise dental chain with.....a reputation. I had an initial consultation and talk with the dentist about what I want done. I'm then brought into a little office in the back, wait a few minutes, where I'm then presented with financing options, dental savings account option, and billing options to pay for my $10K 'treatment plan, yadda yadda. I'm sure I need a ton of work done - no question there! But why are they trying to sell me financing upfront to pay for it? Then negotiating, 'Well what can you pay right now?' It seemed less like a dental office more like a high-pressure car sale. Every other dentist I've been to you pay the receptionist as you go....you don't pay in advance. I found the experience odd but wrote it off. I haven't been to the dentist in years, so maybe this is how they do it now? I arrive for my first visit after that initial consultation, and I'm given a Sonicare electric toothbrush and a Waterpik. I thought it was a gift - some sort of promotional handout being a new dental office in town. Because in the high-pressure loan negotiating room, there was no mention of these items..... A few days later, I get a call from unnamed/untitled person through work who wants to go over "oddities" in the dental plan. One of which was $199.00 for the toothbrush and Waterpik. "Oh, I didn't realize I was charged for that - I thought it was a promotional giveaway." Just really shady that this $200 expense was never mentioned - especially when I had told them I already had a Sonicare toothbrush and Waterpik. Other strange & unusual pricing structures exist in this 'treatment plan' that unnamed person and I are reviewing - why are they performing everything insurance doesn't cover first, for example. Also, Some things being billed separately, when they'd typically be billed as a single, slightly discounted cost. Seems they're trying to artificially increase the cost, but I'm not an expert.... I'm not going back to Aspen Dental because review sites do not rate them particularly well. Check Yelp, Pissed Consumer, the BBB, there are YouTube videos of people reviewing them, etc. (I'm unsure if Google reviews can be scrubbed, but their Google rating is substantially higher than any other site I've seen. Weird). They have a 1.7 out of 5 with 2,700 reviews on PissedConsumer, for example! A 1 out of 5 on the BBB! Others report they use cheap dental appliances and materials that wear out or don't fit correctly, overcharge customers, insist on predatory and high-interest financing options, there have been numerous class-action lawsuits, and other issues. I'm not paying $10K, going through pain and time, to get crappy fillings and a Chinese made implant that might wear out in a year. Again, no complaints about the hygienist or dentist at this particular location. They were professional, kind, didn't cause undue pain. I'm just not interested in supporting a corporate, nationwide dental chain that, based on reviews and lawsuits, engages in questionable dental and business practices.
