This is the worst dental office I've ever seen. The manager is condescending and rude. They never called to give insurance prices, claiming the voicemail was full - which would be understandable if I didn't get voicemails from others all through that week. This isn't the first time I've had issues with their customer service and scheduling, which seems to be common from what I'm reading. On top of that, they didn't even do a good job with the tooth pain coming back to the same tooth. Waste of time this office. read more

It all started with Laura being so kind and courteous as I was desperate to find help during a holiday week. She asked pertinent questions and got me in the next week. Dee was wonderful and had great empathy as Dr. Lingard performed my slightly more complicated root canal. I called Carson City Endodontics to arrange a root canal after months trying to get proper treatment with another Absolute Disaster dental group in Carson City. By the time I called CCE office the tooth was throbbing every day. They got me in right away for a consultation and scheduled my root canal a week and a half later. Dr. Pittel did an excellent job and was very thorough in her treatment. The anxiety over the procedure was worse than the root canal itself. Once the numbing went away I had no discomfort or pain and none the next day. My mouth hadn't felt that kind of relief in weeks. I would highly recommend them for endodontic care. read more

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Lingard who could not get me numb. By the 15th shot i was numb but traumatized from all the shots. I told them i had anxiety but they did not listen and just pushed forward. It ended that I had a panic attack. And he could not do the root canal. I wish i would have stopped him after the 10th poke. Dr. Lingard was too hasty in his assessnent. Thank goodness it was a fail. Not one person in Dr. LINGARDS office tried to console me. When they had me pay my deposit, tears were rolling down my cheeks. By the time i got to my car i was uncontrollably crying. The tooth that really needed a root canal was not the one ge was going to work on. He is a very nice guy and so is the staff but i fe like they could have tried to console me since it was a fail and i was traumitized. At least he gave me a $20 refund of the $200 i put down. Dr. Lingard was going to give me a root canal on the wrong tooth. Had he done that tooth, i would still have to another!!!!! read more

I was a returning patient, and I also worked in dentistry for 22+ years. Let me just say: I'll rip my own head off before ever going to this office again. A monster, sudden toothache caught me flatfooted financially. Their avoidance in discussing fees with me--and then only when *I* asked after being seated--the doctor said payment arrangements were up to the office manager, the office manager said it was up to the dentist. Completely unprofessional. And then it was 'Pay up in full today or GTFO'. Any competent dental office knows that patients in extreme pain, who haven't slept, aren't in the optimum position to deal with that. They offered me NO options as far as palliative care to get me through the weekend, referral to another DDS, scripts for antibiotics/pain relief--NOTHING. They were cold and uncaring--except when it came to money! I begged them to allow me to pay off the $1000+ root canal in payments over 3 weeks, they flatly refused. I know from experience that dental emergencies happen, and often when you have the bad luck not to be ready for them. These people are in the wrong business--I've never dealt with such a cold-hearted office. I ended up paying them over $400 for 2 x-rays (I'd brought them 2 xrays taken at my DDS an hour earlier, but they 'needed more'--which turned out identical to the ones I'd brought) and a 5 minute exam, and they left me to stumble out of there crying from pain. ZERO empathy. Awful place. read more

BIg shout out to this office. I was provided a last minute appointment to have a consultation regarding a potential root canal. After the consultation, I made the decision to not go through with the root canal but to have an extraction instead which needed to be outsourced. I am from out of town, staying in South Lake Tahoe and there were no appointments available there. . Laura, in the office went above and beyond the call of duty and was able to obtain an appointment for me immediately. Wow, Dr Lingard and his staff were wonderful. I enjoyed my experience so much that I'm taking the time to write a review 3hours after having the procedure completed. I walked in as an emergency without an appointment. I was greeted by Laura, who compassionately listened to my situation and told me the Dr could see me in 30minutes. I filled out the paperwork and Silvia, the Dr.'s assistant took me back. Silvia took my x-rays and explained each step of the procedure. Dr. Lingard was professional and kind and welcomed having my husband sit by my side during the entire procedure. Linda, who takes care of payment, was able to offer me a competitive rate, as I do not have dental insurance. I was the last appointment of the day, and they made sure I was completely taken care of, never feeling rushed or pushed out...Thank you so much to the whole office for making me feel well taken care of. Awful. Had a root canal on a tooth that might of needed it, but instead of actually find the right tooth, they went ahead and moved me in and out quickly. Did the root canal. Still did not fix the problem. Went to a different specialist and they found the obvious tooth to pull. They said, how did they not see this bad tooth ? Dr. Lingard did a root canal on a tooth that didn't even need a root canal. Still had pain in the root canal tooth as they did not deaden all the nerves. Bummer, now I am going in for a permanent implant on the tooth that Lingard messed up. On top of it all, I had to pay for a full root canal service for there mistake. The billing lady could care less. No option to work anything out. Disgusted and word travels fast in a small. town. Do not recommend Lingard. Beware of this office and the service. read more

My dentist recommended I go to see Dr. Lingard at Carson City Endodontics for a root canal. I had been to Carson City Endodontics before but it was with a different doctor, Dr. Newman, but he has since retired. My last experience at the same office was superior. I made an appointment for Dr. Lingard and thankfully they were able to see me the next day, as I had tooth pain. I then went in for my appointment and was amazed at the professionalism I experienced. The front office staff and the assistants greeted me promptly and politely. I got immediately got hooked up to a 3D x-ray, couple of tooth x-rays, and a complete examination of my tooth with the doctor. Dr. Lingard explained the problem with my tooth and the choices I had to deal with. I opted for the root canal versus the tooth removal option. I was not able to have the work done at that moment, but we scheduled an appointment for a couple of days later. They were able to work with my schedule perfectly. I had my root canal performed accurately and I experienced no pain during or after the procedure. The doctor explained everything and answered all my questions with a sincere interest in my tooth health and relief of any associated pain. I felt very confident in my experience with this doctor. The doctor even called me in the same evening to see how I was doing after the procedure. The office is conveniently located in Carson, and parking was a breeze! They appear to have all the latest in electronic equipment, x-rays, and endodontic equipment in the office. The office and procedure rooms were also very clean and look very well equipped. I would highly recommend anyone needing a root canal to see Dr. Chris Lingard. It is wonderful to have such a talented doctor in our local area without having to drive to Reno. read more
