We really didn't need…read morework, but had a few trees on our yard that were dropping leaves in our vegetable garden and creating more shade than we wanted, so we decided to have them taken down by "Hopper (UN) Professional Tree Service". Our agreement with Emit was to drop the trees and then cut the wood into fire place burning size, and he would stack it. Emit was going to do the work on the 30th, but no showed. He never bothered to call and tell us he wasn't' the coming. We assumed he was flaky and decided he didn't want the work. He finally got in touch with us 2 days later, and said that his guys didn't want to work those days. But, that he would be there the next day and take the trees down. The next day he did show up, but only dropped one tree, and left it laying in the back yard. After many texts to find out if he was coming back to finish the job he did show up again. He completed taking down 2 of the 3 trees, but refused to cut the wood to fireplace burning size. He told my wife that we needed to split the wood ourselves' as if we own a wood splitter! Although the job wasn't finished Emit asked to be paid. He said he needed to pay his rent. He badgered my wife into paying him, and said he'd come back the next day to finish the 3rd tree. Again he didn't return the next day. He finally came back three days later and cut part of the tree down. Emit cut all of the branches off of the remaining tree, but left the trunk, and the tree looking like a cactus in our backyard. We have made many attempts to have him come finish the work and clean up the back yard. He has not responded.

Emmett came out and brought his climbing gear, went up the tree, put a rope on the broken limb and, secured it so it wouldn't fall and damage the house. Note he didn't charge me for this at all, he gave me the bid and just asked that he gets his rope back if he doesn't land the job. Other tree services gave me prices that were lower and higher but I went ahead and went with hoppers. They removed the tree and cleaned up well. I will recommend him to anyone that wants a service you can trust. I would say just give him a chance to show you his craftsmanship on the job, you can tell this is his passion and life's work. 6 stars if I could!!

He came by the house to understand the work required and provided a fair bid to complete the work. I appreciated the no-nonsense approach to get the work done promptly and correctly. Lastly, Chris always cleans up as if no one was even there. I would not hesitate to hire Chris again.....but, I am hoping that we don't need to see him again to remove another tree on our property for the foreseeable future.

We just had our four big oak trees trimmed by New Leaf. You can tell he is really passionate about trees - a true arborist rather than someone who just cuts limbs off. The quote was reasonable (I mean, tree work is EXPENSIVE, but not any more expensive than anyone else). It took them a day to get the work done, and they left the area very clean. They were also very careful with their work - I have plants in the ground under the trees and they didn't damage a single plant. When I need more tree work done, I will definitely call these guys!

My mistake, I guess. I'll spare the details but at the end of the day I paid more than was quoted for the original bid and the additional work didn't get finished. His disposition became noticeably agitated as he realized his team wouldn't finish the misquoted job in time, and one of his team members succumbed to the heat. Dropping an F bomb and slamming his truck door as I tried to discuss payment and helping his teammate. He finally left and left me with debris scattered and a need to go finish the job myself or hire someone else to do it. Overall, it was a very unprofessional and expensive affair. I would not recommend hiring New Leaf. It's too bad, Ryan seems like a sharp kid. I hope he figures it out.

We first brought New Vision out to build out a retaining wall surrounding some oak trees, and build a vegetable box as part of the wall. his vision pulled this portion of the project together well. irrigation, drainage and sod were needed, and 6 months out, lawn is still green and drains well. To finish the back yard, Decomposed Granited was poured. I can't say enough about the back yard. The front yard was the second project- and while a bit smaller, the New Vision team was able to work with the slopes for irrigation and drainage. Sod continues to do well.
