I called for a quote and within days met with Jeff and had numbers in hand. It just so happened that there was also a window to have the work done the following week! The quote was fair and I was very happy to have the project done so quickly. Shortly after the initial quote, I made some changes which resulted in a little miscommunication on a couple pieces of the project. More time would surely have eliminated these concerns, but Jeff and I were able to resolve the gaps in expectations before the work was completed with only minor setbacks. Jeff exceeded expectations with my requests for drainage, which he ran along both sides of my driveway all the way to the sidewalk, and added in multiple drought tolerant plants to add to the design. Upon completion there are a couple small cracks in the concrete that showed up days after being laid, and my hose and mailbox were damaged during the construction (which Jeff offered to replace and re-install), but after having been through a kitchen remodel and other yard projects through other contractors, have learned there will always be minor adjustments or imperfections with any job. Jeff is very responsive, and his crew is hard working and polite. I am very happy with the work and that I was able to get a fair price and have the work done so quickly. The yard looks great and I have had many compliments from neighbors.

Within a a month of the landscaping- weeds started growing heavily through the rock beds , and then later in borders and in the concrete dividers. I immediately called the owner and he did send out some young guys to pull weeds and sprayed . He did not come to view himself. Less than a month later weeds were coming through again. I contacted him again and several promises were made to come back but it never happened. I was told by another land scraper that the weed fabric installed was probably low quality and the rocks needed to be removed, a weed killer applied to the dirt , and a higher quality weed fabric relaid. This will all cost me additional money , which I spent $5000 for this yard landscape. Another thing the drips that were installed never properly worked so many of the plants died due to lack of water. I was advised this would be I investigated, and it was not. While I understand weeds will happen over time, they are actually worse now than before? I wanted a low maintenance backyard landscape, which this isn't it.

We have a yard with lots of green shrubbery and trees. We work on our yard all year to help it look as nice as it can. You know, a little pruning, some Miracle Grow, lots of snails and all the cleaning up. We are lucky. And when the pruning and trimming is too much we call Hamam Landscape and Tree Service. We have tried them all. I don't want to mention names but you know: the fancy trucks and expensive jobs. One crew left such savage scars on my palm trees that I could really get upset. Then I found the guys at Hamon. John Hamon and his son, Chase, run a solid service. No BS. Just some guys who show up when they say they will show up. They do what they say they will do. The price is competitive for the better quality crews. I have been very pleased with Hamon Landscape and Tree Service. They just did my backyard on February 9, 2019 and it looks great! Pruned my queen palms, trimmed my camellias, pruned all the citrus, etc. They cleaned up after they were done and left our back yard ready for spring. I would not recommend anybody that I did not have first hand experience with. I have had Hamon Landscape and Tree Service in my yard on three separate occasions and we have been happy each time. We have no hesitation in recommending Hamon Landscape and Tree Service. Five stars!

Now that the leaves are falling on the 2 deciduous trees, it is apparent that they were all very unprofessionally hacked back. They are all three displaying the ugly hyper-growth disfigurement of being topped off. The Japanese maple is especially sad. I contacted Chase about this and asked him what he could do about it. He said that this disfiguring was "normal" and sent me a bid for $700 to fix it. If you value your trees, find someone who is a legitimate arborist and can handle your trees with the care they deserve.

They provided a quote and started working on the project within 1-2 weeks. I think this was super quick, given summertime demand for new construction. I really appreciated that they took time to explain detailed options to me when there were different ways to accommodate the slope in my front yard. The quality of work was great, I think it was a good value for the cost that was a bit less than the other two quotes we got for the project. I also want to mention that they didn't increase the project cost at completion, either! It was the same that I was quoted initially.

The crew came during evenings and nights and worked with flash lights. It was just a side job for them. The original designs for planters and fire pit were not followed and our multiple requests were ignored. We now have an uncontrollable weed problem as they just threw the weed cover on top of the untreated soil and not properly secure the cover. We now essentially have to redo much of the work and incur significant expense again. It was a considerable amount we paid for the initial landscaping project. We couldn't be on site to constantly monitor the work due to some health issues. We are completely disappointed with their work and will not recommend them for any landscaping projects.
