We have used Lone Pine twice this year. 1) Request to trim and clean a dry large bull pine; clear a large tree stump and surrounding debris from pasture and take to the dump; chop and clear several oak trees that fell during the winter. Joel and his crew showed up as promised at 7:00 a.m and completed all tasks by 3:00 p.m. They arrived with all necessary equipment and even left useable logs in a pile for use next winter. 2) Repaired leaking irrigation and cleared reeds blocking exit from property; cleared pasture of invasive weeds and trimmed trees up six feet from ground; cleared an acre of pasture that was not easily accessible with a tractor. As usual for Joel and his crew, work was done in one day and our property was left looking pristine. We will always call Lone Pine first when we need work done. Value and professionalism is hard to find. Thanks Line Pine Tree service. read more

If you have any tree services that you need, I recommend you call these guys from Lone Pine Tree Service. First of all, they just finished the job at my house and I was so pleased with their work that I had to put this yelp review out right away. They cut down two big trees in my backyard trimmed one tree. They grinded 2 stumps. You talk about professionalism and these guys are professional. And the work was flawless and they left my backyard cleaner than it was before they came there. So if you want to be happy about your trees, being Trimmed or cut down, call these guys. Gotta go with five stars, you will not be disappointed. read more

Joel came out did a walkthrough after a heavy snow storm that left many down trees on the 5 acre property. The crew came out early the next morning and were done before 3! Communication was great, they catered to what we needed, and the quote was within our budget! They placed our down trees that were large enough to use as a rustic property boarder along the property lines and had no trouble with adjusting the logs if we asked. I am so pleased with the work I will not call anyone else to do work on the property. They took into account what CalFire would be looking for when they do their inspections also. Alex, Joel, Edgar and the entire crew were experts and respectful of the property. I wholeheartedly recommend them! read more

You can feel when people take pride in what they do. The Lone Pine Tree guys are a family-owned business and the genuine real deal. Friendly, hardworking, considerate, and efficient with heart behind it all. They came in at 7am sharp, ready to work, and it was eight hours of nonstop action. A full crew with trucks, bobcats, shredders moving like a well-oiled machine across our five acres. What felt overwhelming to us became completely manageable in their hands. Clean work. Constant check-ins. Respect for the land. Respect for us. They delivered on every aspect of our plan to clean up after the big snowstorm that turned our property and community upside down. Thanks Joel, Alex and crew!! We were so blessed to have found you and look forward to working with you again!! read more

This service was recommend by my tree service to do stump grinding. I scheduled the service and was highly satisfied with the job. The large oak stumps were ground down to sawdust below the surface. They did this while it was raining on the scheduled day. That was even more impressive. I would highly recommend this stump grinding service. read more

First, to the many men ... and there were around 10 ... that arrived early this morning to remove a medium tree that lost its life on our rental property - I apologize for my angry behavior this morning on Errin Pl in Jackson. You see, our sometimes arrogant and narcissistic property owner / landlord neglected to tell us this was being done today (8/4/2026). Yes, I was pissed and I let everyone know. It was necessary to move two cars, alert the neighbors to remove their cars, and I just started a computer project before all your equipment started to arrive. So I am sorry you saw my worst side. But I am still glad I gave a butt chewing out to my landlord. It's all good. But secondly, and most important, you guys were amazing. All you wanted to do was completely remove the tree and clean up. Wow! A lot of men and lots of equipment and in about an hour ... Done! All my screaming and hollering for nothing. Anyone out there reading this to decide if this tree service is any good - well take it from me. After what my landlord put me through ... My wife and I walked the property after your efficient hour of work, and you deserve 10 stars. Really. You are that good. So here's to an unforgettable Tuesday morning and your ten stars . I scrolled for 5 minutes and didn't find any stars. I happen to be a rhino collector. Yah, I know. Weird, huh? Over 350. So for me to present you with "10 rhinos" ... You must have been awesome. And you were. Thanks everyone for listening. And if you need a tree service, chose this one . read more

we contacted Joel about needing some of our trees done before the rain and storms came. his crew came out and did an outstanding job! our property has never looked better! they did everything they said they would and even left our yard cleaner than it was before they got there!!! Joel, the owner of the company, is AMAZING!!!! We had a total of 14 trees that needed service on our property that we purchased last year from the original owners that lived here for 40 years. Love our trees, but they looked like they haven't been maintained in about 20+ years. I got 3 separate estimates and Joel was the only one from the 3 different tree service companies that came out actually spent time with me to discuss the project and share quite a bit of knowledge with me. The other 2 companies came to our property, looked at the trees and blurted out an estimate within minutes. When I tried to ask questions, they danced around answers... The other reason we decided to go with The Lone Pine Tree Service is not only are they Licensed, Insured, & Bonded, they have all the equipment that you would expect a tree service company to have. One of the trees on our property that needed to be trimmed was a very tall Eucalyptus tree that also had dead branches. One of the companies that came out to give us an estimate actually asked if we expected them to be able to get to the top to remove all the dead branches... Well yes of course we do!!! They said they didn't have the equipment to reach the top, you're a tree service company how do you not have the equipment?!?!?! Anyways, back to The Lone Pine Tree Service and their great service! Joel's team was beyond awesome and as far as I'm concerned, they are truly artists!!! Beyond 5 Stars for punctuality, customer service, and quality of work are all beyond what I could have ever hoped for and expected. I will defiantly use them again in the future and refer them to all my neighbors looking for a QUALITY tree service company!!! Thanks again to the entire crew at The Lone Pine Tree Service! read more

We asked last week for recommendations on tree trimmers in Copperopolis and everyone had recommendations. We ended up going with Lone Pine Tree Service out of Valley Springs. They were quick with a bid and let us know that we were below the "minimum" work so we would be paying slightly more than what they would normally charge. I let them know that we had additional trees that could be trimmed and they said great! We ended up having 3 mature trees trimmed as well as a young tree. The crew arrived with 5-6 people, a bucket truck and a limb shredder. They made quick work of what would have taken me a weekend. Alex made sure we were happy with the work as well as the cleanup they did. I would highly recommend this company. Time from bid to service was under a week and I feel it was a good value. read more

Joel did a drive by quote, appreciate that he didn't need me to be home at a certain time for this quote since my schedule can get crazy. Gave me a very reasonable quote. Got it scheduled, his team came by and got it done so quick and cleaned up! His brother Alex, very nice, courteous and professional. Appreciate that the team executed and made sure I was satisfied with the work. I will definitely call Lone Pine Tree Service for any tree work I need. read more

Excellent job by Lone Pine Tree Service. They gave a reasonable quote and arrived on schedule, finished the job within an hour.

No nonsense, on time and finished in less than two hours. Would have liked the tall grass taken away, but no big deal considering everything else they did. I will be calling them again. read more

They were so good that I am having them come back and do additional work. At first I was a little put off because I didn't get a call back, but then I talked with a friend who lives in Acampo. She told me that she had the same experience when trying to hire quality people to come out and do walk for her. So I called them back and we set a date for them to come out and remove a big oak tree that came down and then clean up around the base of the tree. They came back a few days later to rip out the biggest and tallest patch of poison oak that I have ever seen. This patch was close to my house and surrounded another big oak tree. Because this patch was on the side of a hill they had to use an excavator and build a dirt road to and through the poison oak patch. Now that the work is done my horses love it, they go and stand on the road and can stay in the shade all day. The other day I went down to check out the brush that had started to grow over my leach line and found that there was to much work for me to do or dispose of. My goats were killed by a neighbor's dog over two years ago and since then things have really gotten over grown. Before you can get to the leach line you have to get past another big oak tree whose limbs were now touching the ground, plus a medium size oak tree had come down and was covering part of the leach line and then there were the bushes that need to be pulled out. I am so happy that I found these guys and that they do such great work, I highly recommend them. read more

After getting quotes from multiple different tree service companies the clear choice for us was Joel and his crew. He spent a good deal of time talking over the job with us so we were on the same page as it was a pretty big job removing over 20 trees, a lot of stump grinding and some challenging spots to get to removing oak branches dangling over our creek. On the day of the job Joel's crew showed up with a massive amount of equipment and went to work in a way I have rarely seen. They worked hard, fast and efficiently together. Said and done my yard went from looking overgrown to looking clean and open in no time at all. This same job to do myself would have taken me years of weekend work. Many thanks to the crew and I will be using them again. ***Additional*** Since the above was written I have used Joel's crew two more times on my property and once at my parents. On my parents yard he again showed up more than prepared and did an amazing job. At my house he cleared out a large area of trees, palms and brush by my creek. He even pulled a large Cypress tree out of the creek that had fallen over and was causing an issue with water flow. After the area was cleared he came back with a crew and was able to do a large amount of work leveling out the levee area making it safer for future storms and more usable as it was very uneven and full of debris before. Thrice again Lone Pine Tree Service has come through in a big way for us. read more

Was referred to this company recently regarding tree removal. Called, they came out next day to estimate. Scheduled the work for the following week. Had a great crew, fast, efficient, professional and in my view, extremely reasonable for the work done. They cleaned up after themselves and followed up to see if I was happy with the job done, all before requesting payment for the work done. I couldn't be happier with this company, or the outcome. Wish there was a 10 star option! Thanks Joel and crew. read more

We had a large oak tree break off and fall on our deck. There were also two other trunks hanging over our house that, if they were to fall, would cause significant damage. I called Lone Pine Tree Service, and Joel met me the next day to look at our job and give an estimate. Within less than a week, the crew and equipment were at our house, removing the hazardous trees over the house. Lone Tree did the work as proposed, chipped all the brush, stacked the trees, and did an excellent job cleaning up for the price proposed. The main gate to the property is some distance from the house through open-range cattle. The crew kept the gate closed and secured throughout the project, respecting our property. I have worked with many tree vegetation contractors and found Lone Pine among the best. Thanks, Joel and Crew. read more

Yes, I was the one that deleted my post that I had made this morning about the quality of work that was done for us by Lone Pine Tree Service. Some may ask so I'm going to tell you WHY it was removed. Look, in all honesty, Joel is a great guy. At the time all this work was going on there were mundane problems that we didn't know about and didn't know about until today. Apparently maybe some from here called him and asked what was going on so he contacted me and we made an arrangement for him to stop by today and get this whole issue clarified which he did. It was a simple matter that if he had called us to explain the situation then my post would never have appeared and all would have been corrected by now. I am one of those types of people who put my trust - maybe I shouldn't - in others, especially those who are going to work for me to do a proper job and get it done the way it was setup for. Yes I know I was at fault for NOT getting things in writing and also paying for the work too soon, but that has changed since this whole situation came about. I openly want to apologize to Joel and Lone Pine Tree for what I said this morning, as I said, I never should have done this but he never answered my calls after that last visit. Since the first job he did for us, Lone Pine was the first company I openly recommended whole heartedly to anyone who asked me or anyone I heard talking to another about, and I will continue to do so. I do not see nor feel the need to express why this came about as it's a personal matter and it's closed as far as I'm concerned. read more

Lone Pine Tree Service came to my rescue! We had a 85' Oak Tree uprooted and fell to the ground onto our neighbor's property and mine. This tree was huge and much to big for ordinary tree companies to handle. I called several Tree Services and Joel from Lone Pine Tree Service came out. He was the only one that had a plan, the right equipment and capable crew that could handle this job! He completely explained what his crew would do, how long it would take and gave a great estimated cost for the work needed. As promised and planned, Lone Pine Tree Service cut up the tree, removed all the brush, cleaned the work area and staged the wood for future splitting. Lone Pine Tree Service is a stand out Tree Company among many in the area. There is no job to big for this company to handle. read more

Lone Pine was the only company I contacted that called me back. Rudy came by the next day and gave the estimate which included a very nice senior discount. I was not in a rush so I was fine to wait little over a week. Joel contacted me with a date and time, he and the crew showed up on time. The work was completed and throughly cleaned up in little over an hour. They even cleared a vine that was growing over the fence from my neighbors yard.
