Joel, the owner of the company, is AMAZING!!!! We had a total of 14 trees that needed service on our property that we purchased last year from the original owners that lived here for 40 years. Love our trees, but they looked like they haven't been maintained in about 20+ years. I got 3 separate estimates and Joel was the only one from the 3 different tree service companies that came out actually spent time with me to discuss the project and share quite a bit of knowledge with me. The other 2 companies came to our property, looked at the trees and blurted out an estimate within minutes. When I tried to ask questions, they danced around answers... One of the trees on our property that needed to be trimmed was a very tall Eucalyptus tree that also had dead branches. We asked last week for recommendations on tree trimmers in Copperopolis and everyone had recommendations. We ended up going with Lone Pine Tree Service out of Valley Springs. They were quick with a bid and let us know that we were below the "minimum" work so we would be paying slightly more than what they would normally charge. I let them know that we had additional trees that could be trimmed and they said great! We ended up having 3 mature trees trimmed as well as a young tree. The crew arrived with 5-6 people, a bucket truck and a limb shredder. They made quick work of what would have taken me a weekend. We had a large oak tree break off and fall on our deck. There were also two other trunks hanging over our house that, if they were to fall, would cause significant damage. I called Lone Pine Tree Service, and Joel met me the next day to look at our job and give an estimate. Within less than a week, the crew and equipment were at our house, removing the hazardous trees over the house. Lone Tree did the work as proposed, chipped all the brush, stacked the trees, and did an excellent job cleaning up for the price proposed. The main gate to the property is some distance from the house through open-range cattle. The crew kept the gate closed and secured throughout the project, respecting our property. They were so good that I am having them come back and do additional work. At first I was a little put off because I didn't get a call back, but then I talked with a friend who lives in Acampo. She told me that she had the same experience when trying to hire quality people to come out and do walk for her. So I called them back and we set a date for them to come out and remove a big oak tree that came down and then clean up around the base of the tree. They came back a few days later to rip out the biggest and tallest patch of poison oak that I have ever seen. This patch was close to my house and surrounded another big oak tree. Because this patch was on the side of a hill they had to use an excavator and build a dirt road to and through the poison oak patch. Now that the work is done my horses love it, they go and stand on the road and can stay in the shade all day. The other day I went down to check out the brush that had started to grow over my leach line and found that there was to much work for me to do or dispose of. My goats were killed by a neighbor's dog over two years ago and since then things have really gotten over grown. Before you can get to the leach line you have to get past another big oak tree whose limbs were now touching the ground, plus a medium size oak tree had come down and was covering part of the leach line and then there were the bushes that need to be pulled out. After the area was cleared he came back with a crew and was able to do a large amount of work leveling out the levee area making it safer for future storms and more usable as it was very uneven and full of debris before. Yes, I was the one that deleted my post that I had made this morning about the quality of work that was done for us by Lone Pine Tree Service. Some may ask so I'm going to tell you WHY it was removed. Look, in all honesty, Joel is a great guy. At the time all this work was going on there were mundane problems that we didn't know about and didn't know about until today. Apparently maybe some from here called him and asked what was going on so he contacted me and we made an arrangement for him to stop by today and get this whole issue clarified which he did. It was a simple matter that if he had called us to explain the situation then my post would never have appeared and all would have been corrected by now. I am one of those types of people who put my trust - maybe I shouldn't - in others, especially those who are going to work for me to do a proper job and get it done the way it was setup for. Yes I know I was at fault for NOT getting things in writing and also paying for the work too soon, but that has changed since this whole situation came about. I openly want to apologize to Joel and Lone Pine Tree for what I said this morning, as I said, I never should have done this but he never answered my calls after that last visit. We've had Lone Pine out three times now for huge oaks that needed partial removal - two split, and one died. The first split tree was endangering the back of our house, and they removed the dead parts and limbs that could endanger the house. The second split tree fell on the front of our house! They were out here promptly and cleaned up the mess. The third was a huge dead oak in a very awkward place behind a shed and next to our neighbor's fence. Limbs had been falling, and it was endangering my hubby's new Man Cave shed. They were out over the Thanksgiving holiday and made quick work of it. They also offer a nice senior discount.
