Tried out Pool Scouts of McKinney based on their "free first cleaning" offer. It sounded…read moregreat--until they showed up, barely cleaned the pool, and then charged me anyway. I reached out to let them know how poor the service was and reminded them of the free visit they advertised. They apologized, promised to come back, do a proper job, and comp the second visit. They did return and did a slightly better job, but then charged me $60 for chemicals--more than the cost of the cleaning itself. For context, they barely charged for chemicals on the first visit, when the pool was in worse condition. To make things worse, they tried to upsell me a pool robot and offered to "program" it for me... even though it's a plug-and-play Aiper device that doesn't require any programming. It felt like a sales tactic to take advantage of someone unfamiliar with pool tech. After I canceled service, they still sent someone out for a third visit without my approval. Overall, a really frustrating and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend them--they were misleading and untrustworthy. For what they charged for one (supposedly free) visit and one paid visit, you could get a month of service from most other reputable pool companies
