I live closer to other stores but when if I ever need anything they don't have I know Menards will. I even got an online order ready for pick up just now in 5 minutes! These guys were on it. And it's 11% debate time so my savings will be even higher.

We purchased the roofing and siding report from Menards that allows them to use satellite to…read moremeasure the amounts needed. Most of not all of the siding products are special order. They estimated we would need 88 PCs of siding at 24.99 a PC. But you have to purchase by case of 11. With all the j channel starter strips wrap nails coil and lumber it was about 2,600. The siding guy we hired did an excellent job. But now we had 36 PCs of siding left over and starter strips and J channel all special order. We only could return 33 PCs of siding which we knew. But they charged us restock fee of 25% and ded 11% for rebate. Rebate I get but we paid for them to measure what we needed and they deducted Over 300.00 for the special order. AND they wouldn't Refund us cash or check. Just a in store credit! WTH? Now I have several hundred that has to be spent on merchandise at Menards but after this I'll be done with them. Oh we just spent 7 or 8 grand in the spring for all new roof supplies there too. Crazy that they don't care about customer service anymore

They've turned into a big box store where the customer is apparently always wrong and suspected of criminal activity or something. I rented a carpet cleaner and it took over 30 minutes for customer service to write up the rental agreement. There was no line it just took so long to write up the paperwork. I was patient. He tried finding a machine that was clean and each machine he grabbed he said was dirty, I said, 'That's okay, I don't mind if it's dirty. My dirt is gonna run through it, too anyway." I let it go, no big deal. (All of machines were there) This was a Saturday morning when I came in to rent. I asked the salesman what time did they open the next day, which was going to be Sunday and he told me 8:00am. I said, "Perfect I will drop it off before church tomorrow." I came in the next morning at 8:00 and they were closed and store sign said they opened at 9:00 am. I didn't think to check the storefront sign the day before since the salesman said they opened at 8:00 am. I didn't think I needed to double check what I was told. Now I had a choice, I either waited there until 9:00 and skipped church or come with the machine right after church. I decided to go to church and come in right afterwards. A lady greeted me and even though I cleaned the inside of the machine she found dirt and hair on the wheels and was going to charge me and extra $40. I was dumbfounded. Never did I expect to stand there while she inspected the machine. True Value never did that. You just dropped it off and they waved at you like you were best friends. Now they inspect the machine like you're a bad customer and the culprit of a crime. She took a cleaner from behind the counter and some paper towels and brought the machine outside and started spraying and wiping the machine while she scolded me from bringing in a dirty machine and her boss was going to be mad at her for helping me avoid the $40 extra charge by cleaning it for me. I happily grabbed the spray and a towel pitched in the rid the carpet cleaner of my dirt and filth (right on the front step of the store while people walked in and out). I told her the salesman couldn't find a clean machine the day before and I took a dirty one because I don't expect it to be pristine. She ignored me because I am a criminal not a customer. I also mentioned that I was told the store opened at 8:00 am and I was there at 8:00 but found out store opened at 9:00 and that's why I am late because I didn't want to miss church. She also ignored me. She kept repeating herself that if her boss saw her helping me, she was going to be in trouble. She was really sticking her neck out for me. I mean it didn't take me long to realize that this poor lady after all she was aiding and abetting a stinking small town crime. I sure hope she got off with a warning. A day or so later, I checked my bank account and she charged me for a 2-day rental. The paperwork she returned to me did not say she was charging me another day. ACE is just another big box rental store. Does not care about the customer. I will be going to Mound True Value instead. Delano True Value would have never done any of that. True Value was not slow, misguiding customer, or eager to catch the customer in wrongdoing. Also I just remembered, a year ago I had to rent a cleaner from the local Delano Rental (True Value had theirs all rented already) and I asked them about returning rental on Sunday and I told them the timing doesn't work because I go to church and they said bring it in after church, we won't charge you another day and guess what, they didn't. I do not recommend renting from Delano ACE. I will rent and purchase elsewhere.

I love that ma and pop shop feeling you get from this store. I have been here to get a shop vac filter, a cable cord connector, and a power strip. But I have noticed they have so many things here.

They make every trip there a pleasure and you can't help but leave with a smile, even if you didn't want to make a trip to get the right size screw or color of caulk. Thank you to all of them for always being so friendly and knowledgeable, for being a constant reminder of the small-town atmosphere of STMA, and for having a really wonderful selection of products in a convenient location.
