We couldn't find any other reviews on this company, so we contacted them after reading their one…read moreother review on this website. This was out experience: First I want to say that they were always friendly, helpful, professional sounding and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, that is where our good experience ended. We sent a sample and drawings of our part and discussed the part with the representative over the phone. We placed an order for 150 parts. When we received the parts, the finish quality was so poor that not a single part could be used. To their credit, ZHP had the shipper come back the same day to pick up the parts for rework. When we received the reworked parts, they had finished the WRONG side. Again, not a single useable part. They had even sent us back our sample with all of their junk parts, so their mistake should have been immediately obvious to anyone. How they did 150 parts like that is beyond explanation. At this point, we were already 5 weeks behind schedule and began reworking the parts ourselves to fill back orders. In the meantime, we placed further orders with two offshore manufacturers for several thousand pieces. The offshore manufacturers had the same lead time, but we had to wait an extra 1.5 weeks for shipping. In the end, the cost per part was less than 1/2 of ZRP, and the defect rate of the imported parts was only 1.8%, which we can live with. We really wanted to use U.S. manufacturing, but 1/3 of the parts we got from ZHP are still in the box collecting dust, waiting for some day when we might get around to fixing them. With the economy being what it is, especially in Michigan, we thought that local companies would really want our business and supply quality parts. Sadly. that just isn't the reality. ZHP was the third and final U.S. shop that we tried to have parts made for us.
