Fifth load drying as I write this. Vince is a good guy that I actually played baseball with growing up and we figured out we knew each other 5 minutes into him working on it. Had the owner Curt out to diagnose a dryer issue. I went over the issues we were having:…read more1. Clothes taking a long time to dry 2. Making noise with heavier loads 3. Drum doesn't appear to be turning as fast. Curt poo-pooed each item, and said it's probably a issue with the coil. He stared at the dryer flame for 10 minutes and said he could see nothing wrong. After paying $60 he said to keep checking and if the issue occurs again he would come out again, the fee is good for 30 days. So in the mean time I identified the issue, which was the idler pulley was seized up and no longer turning, causing the issue with the drum speed. Curt had agreed to come back out this morning, and had told me to have a load of wash ready for the dryer. When he arrived he noticed that the dryer was not running and started shaking his head. Curt had showed some attitude in the original visit, as he explained away each item we had experienced with the dyer (the noise we "thought" we heard was just because we were now listening for an issue, etc.) So I asked why he was shaking his head again and had an attitude, and he said "have the internet fix your dryer"....huh? So I asked for my $60 check back, but he didn't have it with him...so he just drove off. I think he was upset that I diagnosed an issue that he missed, or was too focused on what he thought the issue was. Anyway, he seemed like a nice guy, but turned out to be very condescending and temperamental. There are better choices out there for appliance repair.

Shawn was by far the most knowledgable generator contractor I spoke with after deciding to take the…read moreplunge from my gas powered portable unit to a permanent whole house Koehler. After his assessment of needs and meeting with him face to face, it was obvious I could stop my search for the best way to go. His more than competitive all-inclusive pricing sealed the deal. The installation itself was more than I could have hoped for. He and his crew - Matt Sharron, electrician; James Bunker, mechanical contractor; and Dave Murany - were spectacular! They were so respectful of the fact that I had to let my dogs outside sporadically, being certain that the gate and doors were always shut. The install itself was polished, for lack of a better term. All spots cut into the house were sealed cleanly - they even neatly resealed pipes into my house from my AC unit installed by another contractor as that certainly wasn't close to the professional job done by these guys. Cleanup was fantastic. First time I haven't had to clean after contractors left the premises. They didn't leave until I had a clear understanding of what to expect with the generator. Glad Shawn offers maintenance plans, so he'll check out the unit twice yearly. Plus, if problems arise, he's always available. Long winded review, but with the way this was done from start to finish, GenPro deserves more than just a "Great Job"! Thank you Shawn and crew.

I had a very disappointing experience with VinTech, the first company assigned through my home…read morewarranty to service my GE Monogram built-in refrigerator/freezer. Both my refrigerator and freezer were warm. The VinTech technician came out but stated that he could not access the freezer panel and recommended that the entire built-in unit be pulled out. This was extremely concerning to me. The refrigerator is a built-in GE Monogram, and the components needed for diagnosis and repair are accessible from within the unit. There is nothing behind the unit that would logically require it to be pulled out to access the freezer components. I requested a second opinion through my home warranty. The second technician was able to properly access the freezer, diagnose the issue as a failed freezer evaporator fan motor, and replace the motor--without pulling the built-in refrigerator out, all in 1 hour. The difference between the two service calls was significant. The second technician was able to complete the diagnosis and repair that the first technician said could not be accessed. If you have a high-end or expensive appliance, particularly a GE Monogram, I would not recommend allowing VinTech to service it based on my experience. I would strongly recommend requesting a different service provider rather than risking an incorrect diagnosis or unnecessary work to the appliance. I am grateful that I requested a second opinion, because otherwise I could have been left with an unresolved appliance and an expensive recommendation to pull out a built-in unit unnecessarily.
