It was samples of their chocolate hazelnut which was delicious. The quality of the chocolate higher tier and you can taste it. You can also try samples of the other chocolates they have on display which is awesome. I tried their matcha dark and white chocolate fusion and it was so yummy. Perfect blend between the matcha and the chocolate flavors. You also can break the amount of chocolate that you want and it could even be as small as a sample size too. I believe the cost is by how much it weighs and the type of chocolate? I ended up getting the smaller pieces of the matcha chocolate and the hazelnut chocolate. It came out to be $11.47 for both the chocolates and I have attached a pic to show you. They nicely package it. I def recommend trying this place. The workers here are also very nice! Loved my experience! Also was here around 6pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't too busy.

I really appreciated how generous they were with samples, you can explore different flavors before deciding what to buy. I tried the hazelnut chocolate and loved it. They also had a wide variety to choose from, like Dubai chocolate, truffle milk, truffle caramel, and some nicely packaged gift sets with mixed flavors. Everything looked beautiful and tasted just as good. The quality really just... the best, and you can tell it's premium chocolate. You honestly can't go wrong here, whether to buy for yourself or choosing gift (and chocolate makes the best gifts). It's definitely a spot I'd come back to when I want to buy gifts for my family!

I've been stuck at home with a bum leg for over a week, so I decided to treat myself to breakfast…read moredelivery from Alexander's Patisserie in downtown Mountain View, which I'd never tried before. I ordered an apple croissant, banana chocolate croissant, kouign-amann, baguette sandwich, and an iced mocha. It took a while for my breakfast to arrive. The iced mocha was warm because the ice had melted, but it was easy enough to fix with ice from my freezer. I'm pretty sure it had no coffee in it, just oat milk and hazelnut dark chocolate, which was perfect in my book. I drank it fast. It was my first time trying a kouign-amann, and I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about. After a couple of bites I moved on to the apple croissant, which had almond cream and a cinnamon apple compote in it. It was delicious, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet. Next was the banana chocolate croissant. I was disappointed when I cut it in half and saw how little chocolate there was inside of it, but once I tasted it I realized it was just right. The bananas and almond cream were very, very sweet. It was scrumptious with powdered sugar and sliced almonds on top. Later in the day I tried the baguette sandwich, which had Brie, sliced apples, jambon, arugula, mustard, and garlic aioli on it. It was good at first, but then I had to remove the Brie because it overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich. The apple tasted great, but I pretty much love anything with apples on it. All in all it was an interesting breakfast and I'd gladly return to try more of their sandwiches and desserts.

Once you step inside it feels like you're transported to a cute little Parisian patisserie. The interior is elegant and relaxing and the staff are friendly. We ordered the Fleur de Pistache and a mango pastry which I believe is called a Mango croissant but I honestly forgot (it may also be seasonal). Beautiful presentation so 10/10 for that. As for flavor the Fleur de Pistache was good - texture was great but I do wish it had a heavier pistachio flavor. The Mango croissant was crispy and fresh. Both items weren't overly sweet which is what I look for in pastries/desserts so I appreciate that. I didn't get a coffee this time around so I can't speak on that, but I'll be back again to try the coffee and their other pastries. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the visit!

As such, I hauled @$$ down here a few days back to buy a few candies and a box of See's chocolate "lollypops." This particular location had been right here for a good approx. 30 years. I remember going to it a number of times as a kid. So, hence, I had to make one last stop, if nothing else, for nostalgia's sake. On my visit, unsurprisingly, there was a long line of people who were A) getting gifts for Mother's Day, and B) buying one last item(s) from this store before their permanent closure. Overheard an employee say to another customer that the employees at this store were offered to work at other See's locations, so it's nice to know that they at least weren't laid off instead. So far, the individual chocolates I bought have been, predictably, delicious. Like in my previous review, regardless of location, you can't go wrong with See's confectionery. They're a Bay Area staple. You're gonna like the way they taste. I guarantee it. I'll miss this particular location though. But who knows? Maybe Warren Buffet will intervene and find a way to get them to stay. (Wishful thinking.) 4 stars

The space feels super cozy and service was friendly. They even mentioned their Burnt Almond Cake has always been their bestseller. First bite tasted heavenly. This had more stronger almond and Italian rum flavor and I was pleasantly surprised by the sugared almond slivers coating. The custard was absolutely generous, creamy, and divine. I'd say Peter's Bakery is more traditional, but more fluffier while Sugar Butter Flour has a more modern twist and is slightly sweeter. Their version definitely has more custard, which I personally enjoy... but this may be too sweet for the older Asian parents family. I'd love to come back to try their cookies and other pastries next time. Their Burnt Almond Cake is to die for and would love to buy another one when I'm in the area.
