For over two years now, that place has been House of Dog Retreat and Spa. Here's all the amazing things about House of Dog: Dog Boarding- they are located by the airport so it's an easy drop-off and pickup. Got a crazy timed flight? They can accommodate because there is ALWAYS someone there watching and caring for the dogs. They follow directions really well, especially if your dog has a special diet or needs medicine. Doggie Daycare- the most attentive staff money can buy and it's affordable!! They make sure the dogs are paired with similar personalities and watch AND cleanup after them vigilantly. I've never walked in and seen the place a mess, in fact no matter what time of day I'm there they are constantly cleaning. Health precautions- they make sure all dogs have their necessary shots as well as alert dog owners if there's any outbreaks within the neighborhood of any health issues. My dog has never gotten sick from House of Dog most likely because of the cleaning, but also because they have a check list of symptoms posted at drop off so if your dog has any you cannot bring them in. Friendliness- everyone is kind to both the humans and the dogs, but the love for dogs shows. Dog Grooming - they follow instructions and do an excellent job keeping pups calm! Staff- well trained, attentive and creative! My dog has done art projects, photo ops and gone to foam parties at house of dog - how many boarding facilities or kennels do you know that do that??

And was told that while she was shy and timid at first, she did warm up to all of the people and even played with two other pit bulls the whole day. If there was a '0' star option I would do that. Please note: I asked for a callback from Amanda TWICE to clarify whether or not Mira was slowly introduced or if she was really just placed into a room with 15 other dogs -- and never received a call.

They (Taria and Ashley) greeted my Marley (a 18mo 75lb Golden Retriever) like he was family coming for a visit, and it was our 1st visit. They never rushed us, as I had so many questions. We had been to other groomers saying they know how to groom a golden retriever and they were just cutting up my beautiful baby's hair. However, at Avery's, they were really knowledgeable and seemed very experience in the field. I felt so comfortable, like I've been there before. By time I left my Marley for his spa day, I knew he was in good hands. They gave Marley a full bath, facial and he loved it. When I picked him up, he looked so handsome and was so excited. Marley looked and felt like he was a show dog they gave him more than just a bath and haircut, as he was so pampered. I really wanted to like this place and had high hopes for them. However this whole place and staff…read morehas disappointed me from the start to the end. It took me almost a month because First when I took my fur baby there they wanted to charge me the highest package they had without even fully evaluating him. I wanted with it to see if it was worth it because it's his first time here and I have nothing to compare it to. I went a whole day ahead and paid because I didn't want to do the deposit over the phone. The next day Saturday the groomer whom I met before was suppose to be be there get my dog and she wasn't as promised but ok I still went along against better judgement. After having my fur baby for about 6 hours he still wasn't ready to be picked up. We left and returned and he was finally ready. When I arrived my overly friendly dog was not his normal self he looked terrified. Finding out the 'professional ex vet assistant groomer" cut a hole the size of a quarter out my baby's belly area. She then tells me she gave him peroxide and some powder to try and stop the bleeding cause she use to work in a vet office. She also as an apology tried to give me 5.00 back after I paid $65.00, $5.00 was an insult and a slap in my face. I had to take my dog to the vet and have his hole stapled close and he had to wear a cone around his neck and take antibiotics because it get infected. After communicating back and forth with the owner she seem like she was genuinely concerned and offered me a refund of my grooming and vet bill. This post is not about the money it's about the quality of service I received this particular visit. Needless to say I will never take my dog back there again. I found so many small cuts on him later it made me very sad. The groomer has the audacity to say he wouldn't keep still during his grooming ??!!! I'm like yeah if you took a chunk of my skin off And I'm bleeding and you still wanna groom me I wouldn't sit still either. 8/6/19 update, I did receive a check to reimburse me for the fees and also the grooming bill. Although this does not replace my fur baby pain and suffering, it's appreciated in trying to help correct this incident. I will say all the owner attempts were considerable.

They come on time, send me an update once the walk is completed which usually has a photo of the mutts looking happy, and generally have been very responsive to any issues. We have also utilized her overnight stays for vacations. We also have 2 cats - so all 4 animals are well cared for and loved while we are away. They took care of puppy destruction one visit and dog diarrhea another changing the diet to boiled chicken and rice. Always with great communication throughout to let me know what was happening. Offered to take dog to vet when he was sick with diarrhea. My house and my animals are safe and well cared for. Never feel worried while on vacation. Highly recommend her service!

They were very receptive to my concerns (my dog is adopted and has some anxiety and trouble interacting with other dogs) and put me at ease. They were even able to help get our dog walking better on leash (less pulling) and walking with other dogs! I never thought our dog would be able to go on walks with other dogs, but they are truly miracle workers! Their website is easy to use and I loved getting pictures and updates every day about how the walk went. Also, they are quick to respond and are very accommodating.
