What a great place to spend the afternoon. They have the coolest little cave rock structures here. If I was homeless I would sneak in here and sleep at night. My husband brought his trials bike and was jumping on them. They are really cool. Plenty of play structures and swing sets for children to play on. There was a family having a birthday party here. They were using the barbeque's and all of the picnic tables are under awnings. I can imagine sitting in the sun in the Phoenix summer while eating a hot dog isn't the most enjoyable thing. They had sand in the play area. A dad and his two little girls were building a really cool sand castle. I took a picture of it. I don't like sand because cats poop in it at night. That was the only bad thing about it. Loved it and my husband wants one like it built near our house so he could go trials riding on the rocks.

We've had some bad experiences with wasp infested splash pads lately but this one was not bad at all, I think I saw one flying around. Definitely a good amount of shading here, making it nice for the summer. My son had a lot of fun and this park was super clean and not overly crowded. I'd give the cleanliness and overall park quality a 10/10. There's something for all ages, and it's easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The train is definitely cute and fun for kids, but it's a bit overpriced at $5 per ticket, even for a one-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience with the train staff really took away from it. The woman taking tickets was extremely rude and didn't speak to us at all -- no hello, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or interact with families. I was trying to make it a fun moment for my child by having them hand over the ticket, but they actually got scared and hid behind me. The woman selling the tickets, on the other hand, was very kind and welcoming. The park itself can also get very crowded, and we noticed older kids sometimes take over the younger kids' play areas, which can make it hard for little ones when there's roughhousing or inappropriate language. That's not really the park's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you have small children. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting at least once because it's a beautiful space with tons to do. I personally prefer smaller neighborhood parks for a calmer experience, but Anthem Community Park is great in terms of facilities. The biggest areas for improvement would be crowd management in the play areas and better, more family-friendly staffing for the train.

NOW 60 days out we are being told otherwise and with absolutely little care. This low on their part is going to cost us thousands of dollars. The front desk worker we spoke to today was so nonchalant and had no clue how to do the very basics of her job. To say I'm pissed is an understatement.

This place has everything - as Stefon from SNL would say - tennis courts, baseball fields, playground, soccer fields & this cool setup sponsored by AARP that features gym equipment & uses the program "Fitlot." Fitlot is a national nonprofit that helps parks program their equipment. So there's a QR code on equipment for more info to connect to their website AND there are visuals on equipment that show how to use it. I didn't understand how this park could possibly be on 150 acres! then I found a bridge that crosses over the canal & leads to the east side of the park w/ more soccer fields. So yeah this park is humongous! The only thing it doesn't have is a skate park. I think they could integrate that in to the design since there IS so much room. There are signs saying skateboarding is not allowed. Which makes sense when there's not a dedicated space, But skateboarding has become popular for people of all ages, so can yall update? The grilling setup was probably the nicest I've ever seen for a public park. There were probably 20-30 individual picnic table areas each with their own grill. They also had a covered area with even bigger grills. There were even peacocks walking around! Numerous baseball/softball fields, as well as playground equipment. I would definitely come back here and bring people.

When we came there were a few homeless people sleeping in the grass and a homeless women taking a shower in the water spigot but they didn't bother us or the kids. There's also a dog park further down the hill. We didn't visit it so we don't know much on it. We are thinking of coming back at a later time with our dogs. There is plenty of parking and trash cans in the area.

The park was busy with non league? soccer / futbol games going on on two large fields. There were trees for shade for spectators. We went to a new ( newer ) playground new slides, ladders , a bridge , & favorite a stand alonr seat like small tractor seat that you can spin around on .., fun! It seems after visiting other city of phoenix parks that the children's playgrounds are newer with the latest playground activities. What are love to see are big multi-lingual kids signs / educational number & word boards in braille, Spanish ,& English , engaging the community . This park has a renovated play area that is certain to entertain your little ones. Two infant/toddler swings and two regular swings greet you as you walk up the path to the play area. Just behind the swings, there are two covered play structures within the sandy area. One is geared toward younger children and has a few small slides. The other, larger play structure is nothing short of fantastic. There is a large slide, monkey bars, a fireman's pole, stairs and ladders like most playgrounds I remember growing up.....but the fun doesn't stop there. There are also two small, faux rock walls and bunch of stations that are real lessons in centrifugal force. You can stand up, sit down, hang from bars, all while spinning like a teacup at Disnyland! Aside from the play area. Venturoso Park has an enormous grassy area surrounded by a walking path. The perfect place for an afternoon picnic or a family stroll with the dog. There are a few covered picnic tables, a water fountain and soccer goals (minus the nets). One big negative is, the only public restroom available is a port-a-potty...yuck! There is occasional football or soccer practice here, but otherwise, this place is empty. We usually have the entire park to ourselves. Not for long though, because after you read this, you are gonna pack up a basket, round up your crew and head to Venturoso for some great family fun.
