What I don't like about this park is the noise of traffic from cactus and also the amount of mosquitoes. The noise is easily overcome with headphones, but the bugs ate me alive! I even tried using big spray before walking there and even though that helped it wasn't perfect. And I don't like using big spray a ton either. I went there one morning and they were flooding the park with water it so maybe that is why there are so many bugs? Anyway a good place to walk if you wear headphones and bug spray.

Good walking paths too for walking your dog that is on a leash as well as for kids to learn how to ride bikes or tricycles. Equipment is all in good working order. There are bathrooms there. Have never been in them so can't tell you if they are clean or not. The park is across the street from the Phoenix police dispatch center so there's always police cars arriving or taking off around the area. It is also across the street from an elementary school and right next door to Moon Valley High School. I'm sure the park is quite busy when schools let out at the end of the day. Lots of grassy areas for playing games or having parties. Have seen lots of times parties with jumping houses there. Lots of trees providing great shade. A family favorite!

There really should be some sort of rule against that because it's hard to get in or out when the parents are parked in all the spots and in a line blocking the parking lot! That's the reason for my four stars, otherwise this park is pretty ideal for young children. We fly kites, blow bubbles, play in the sand, and it even has a splash pad that's separate from everything else. It's somewhat small, but it has everything you need. The restrooms are pretty decent for park facilities and if you come in the earlier afternoon there always seems to be maintenance on site so it maintains it's upkeep.

They LOVE it and so do we. We don't have the tallest or most confident dogs so we stick to the small dog park which butts up against the large dog park. There's a big fence blocking them off. There's plenty of benches and a ramada for the 2-legged visitors. I'd say there's about a dozen trees to provide shade. Both of the dog parks are about the size of a football field in total size. Not every dog is as eager to play as our boys are, but any aggression we've seen by another dog has been nipped in the bud quickly and the people who go here are generally friendly. It's the only dog park we've been to in the area and based on reviews of some of the others, it will probably be the only one.

They have updated this park since a lot of the previous reviews. It was cleaned, maintained, had open restrooms to use by the ball fields. The playground is now the soft recycled tire material and there is a little section for sand and water play. They have swings and 2 sets of fun equipment on the playground to climb on. I loved watching the local birds. Mountain views and surrounded by nice natural desert landscape surrounding. Very nice and quiet. We spent about 3 hours playing.
