They have two sand volleyball pits, public bathroom, lots of picnic tables, lots of green grass and lots of trees. There's also a trail for hiking and it's dog friendly. We threw down a blanket and took a catnap in the shade under the trees and when my dog got bored, we watched the volleyballers battle it out a ways away. They have a decent sized parking lot available, with additional parking in a smaller lot just up the road closer to the baseball diamond.

I think my favorite part about this park is the tall redwood trees and the rose garden. Such a nice touch. The playground itself is nice. There's one for toddlers and another for older kids. The one for big kids was slightly dirty and run down. It also had a lot of spider webs. I also wish the playground had an enclosed gate but there are two huge openings. There's a lot of picnic tables, bbq pits, a bathroom and trash cans around. Plenty of shade for those hot summer days and parking in the residential neighborhood as well. I think they can do a better job at keeping the area clean -- that' was my biggest ick.

It's kind of hidden and tucked away next to a middle or elementary school. There's a small parking lot and a bathroom too. What sets this playground apart from others is - it makes me think of Disneyland! The way the structures were made, so fun, colorful and bright! Lots of interactive and sensory opportunities here too, including the instruments, shaded sand pits and more. I love how much shade there is. All parks should have this, but sadly they don't. Most of the area is gated. However, for the older kids, the gate was open to a busy street.. I didn't like that. There were also a lot of spider webs. I wonder if there's any regularly scheduled maintenance done here. If there isn't, that's something worth looking into. Other than that - 10 out of 10 great park!

Nestled In a neighborhood just off of Dry Creek Rd, right by the much larger and grander Alston Park, is Vine Hill Park. It actually pretty large and has several amenities you would expect in a neighborhood park plus a few extras. The park is mostly open, unshaded grass but contains several amenities as well. The focal point of the park is the fairly well shaded play structure with slides, swings and ladders. This is great for young kids to get their ya yas out. There are conveniently shaded benches and a picnic area right by the play structure. Perfect for watching young ones. There's also a basketball court, a baseball diamond, a basic skate ramp, and a drinking fountain. After going to this park for years now, one of the most noticeable things about the park is how large it is but how little of it is developed or ever used. If you are looking for a big park with trails and a view - go to Alston Park. If you have young kids and want to get them out of the house, then this is your park.

A large field for soccer games. Lots of parking. Restrooms and water fountains. Play structures for children. I considered buying a house in this area partially for this park. The dog park is separated into two areas which are not connected. The small dog park is very flat and down some steps or a slope from the restroom picnic area. The large dog park is to the left and goes on a hill. The large dog park has two paved paths. One is like a switch back. The other goes straight up the hill. There's water fountains for the dogs at both the top and bottom of the park. There are also two double gated entrances. The park has some agility structures at the top of the hill, some metal benches throughout, waste bags and trash bins. The landscaping is mostly dirt/bark. There are plenty of trees in the park so the dogs to sniff. It's a great park for the sniffari type of dogs. It's also quite large! It's great for getting your steps in to walk up and down the paths. Most of the people I've met there have been great. On one occasion I have seen a dog walker bringing in 10+ dogs at once... The only words of caution I have would be to dress for the wind and in the summer I have witnessed a snake in the dog park.

This park has :…read more 3 CTVLL baseball fields, 1 rec baseball field, free open lawn space for soccer, volleyball, golf, workout equipment along the trails, two parks with multiple activities for kids of all ages, multiple picnic and reservation areas for parties with covered patios, barbecue pits and grills, bocce ball courts, 2 ENCLOSED dog parks for small vs large, ample parking , super clean bathrooms (for rec parks), tennis courts, basketball courts, And a skate park! The only downside is no matter what because of the location expect high winds at almost all times of the year and day. One of the greatest things I love about this park and I hope to preserve is how clean it is . Rarely as their trash scattered and almost always the parties pick up after themselves where they can meaning they put their stuff and bag it up and put it in the trash or take it out to the dumpsters. This matters when you have a community space ! there's also bulletin boards throughout that show when the parks are reserved for events or when the tables have reservations for parties. (to book reservations or parties you do it directly through the Fairfield rec and parks website.) Last but not least they have a shared book library . It's been there for about three years now I believe.

It is basically a very large green space with three groves of trees that act as shady picnic spots. There is a very well designed children's play scape, basketball court, and a small softball backdrop. One thing I was surprised not to see was a trail that would run around the perimeter. However, there is a sidewalk that runs the length of one side of the park. The main picnic spot by the playscape is available to reserve for private parties. Parking along Douglas Avenue is the best option. There is a porta potty on site as well. Plenty of informative photos to get you here.

The game had just started when we arrived. It was a playoff game, so it was packed. We got tickets at the gate for $15 each for left field, the only option available. There isn't a great way to get around the stadium. We walked in front of everyone in the stands and happened to run into Rawhide, their mascot! After a quick selfie, we found ourselves in the grass/dirt to get to our seats. I regretted my flat sandals. We sat in the bleachers out in left field. We could see and hear everything. The game was low scoring but entertaining. The announcer had events between innings for the kids etc and plenty of fun songs and sound effects. Players were hitting foul balls into the stands and parking lot. No one got hurt but I bet some cars were dented. They had chosen the designated beer hitter - a player on the opposite team. When he was up to bat, if he struck out, beers were half off for the rest of the inning! It happened at least twice. Food looked pretty good. They had a local restaurant set up under an easy up, cooking. It was called Jacob's and they have a restaurant one mile south of the stadium (Jacob's Restaurant). We left after the kids raced the players through the field which was about the 7/8th inning. I think the stompers lost as they were trailing for awhile. Bathrooms were in an elevated trailer, clean, air conditioned, separate men/women. I can see why the locals enjoy the games. It was fun. I just wish they had a better sidewalk around the field. And Rawhide's costume needs a good cleaning. Poor guy smells like several summers. Overall great value and a good time.

No outside food or drinks are allowed so you're kinda stuck. I don't even know how to rate this place so let's keep the 4 stars going simply because I love baseball. I did, however, have to make multiple rest stops because I was dying lol. View was gorgeous and the picture does not do justice. There were maybe 3 other small groups when we got there but we were so spread apart that we didn't run into each other. On the way back down, I had a mishap and my shoelace hoop hooked onto my other shoes hook and I took a nice fall. It was my mistake and not the trails. I didn't even try to fix my mistake because as we were nearing the parking lot, I tripped again (same reason) and I fell on the rocks right before the asphalt. We had a good laugh. The employee who was on the golf cart was on his way back and saw me on the ground. He kindly asked if I needed help but I was too busy laughing and embarrassed that I declined his help. This will definitely be a memory to remember!
