I did, however, have to make multiple rest stops because I was dying lol. View was gorgeous and the picture does not do justice. There were maybe 3 other small groups when we got there but we were so spread apart that we didn't run into each other. On the way back down, I had a mishap and my shoelace hoop hooked onto my other shoes hook and I took a nice fall. It was my mistake and not the trails. I didn't even try to fix my mistake because as we were nearing the parking lot, I tripped again (same reason) and I fell on the rocks right before the asphalt. We had a good laugh. The employee who was on the golf cart was on his way back and saw me on the ground. He kindly asked if I needed help but I was too busy laughing and embarrassed that I declined his help. This will definitely be a memory to remember!

I think my favorite part about this park is the tall redwood trees and the rose garden. Such a nice touch. The playground itself is nice. There's one for toddlers and another for older kids. The one for big kids was slightly dirty and run down. It also had a lot of spider webs. I also wish the playground had an enclosed gate but there are two huge openings. There's a lot of picnic tables, bbq pits, a bathroom and trash cans around. Plenty of shade for those hot summer days and parking in the residential neighborhood as well. I think they can do a better job at keeping the area clean -- that' was my biggest ick.

All of the picnic tables were great for snack or lunch and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. My husband I also thought the very sweet apology signs about the grass not looking perfect because of the drought were funny since the grass looked mostly perfect to us! And there are great coffee and food options for the whole family a short walk away. We'll definitely be back!

It's kind of hidden and tucked away next to a middle or elementary school. There's a small parking lot and a bathroom too. What sets this playground apart from others is - it makes me think of Disneyland! The way the structures were made, so fun, colorful and bright! Lots of interactive and sensory opportunities here too, including the instruments, shaded sand pits and more. I love how much shade there is. All parks should have this, but sadly they don't. Most of the area is gated. However, for the older kids, the gate was open to a busy street.. I didn't like that. There were also a lot of spider webs. I wonder if there's any regularly scheduled maintenance done here. If there isn't, that's something worth looking into. Other than that - 10 out of 10 great park!

Definitely bring water with you as there are no water spouts/fountains on any of the trails. Closed toed shoes are a must as possion ivy is present along with blackberry bushes. Most of the trails provide plentry of shade and pretty foliage. Views of the whole Napa Valley await you at the top (with a couple of benches to take a nice rest). Some days a layer of fog will sit above the valley but that usually burns off by late morning. You'll come across lots of dogs and kids so this place is good for all.

It's a beautiful hike filled with dense forest and streams. It's a fairly easy hike, well kept, with stairs at most of the steep paths, very narrow at spots and a lot of poison oak/Ivy off the sides of the path. Located on the Bartholomew Winery, a private park with hours from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM when the main gate gets locked (big sign). There is plenty of free parking. My friend and I walked the trail around 1:30 PM. on a Wednesday. We only saw one other hiker the whole time, so nice, so peaceful, we had the whole forest to ourselves. LOL there was a warning sign for Mountain Lions, we did not see or hear anything, only the birds and the stream. I would definitely recommend this trail and I would come back to walk it again.

It would be better if they just charged $5 for parking. We noticed lots of people parking and just going up the hiking path and not paying. I guess we were suckers. Paying is not worth it, but if you dont pay, its a bargain. Its worth a parking fee but not a per person entry fee.

Meet the Grape Crusher…read more Many, many years ago, my Girl Scout troop helped at a family vineyard in Florida. Wow. That gave me a lot of respect for all of the labor that goes into harvesting and crushing grapes. The Grape Crusher pays homage to all those who labored to make Napa Valley what it is today. This monumental sculpture is visible from the highway, but you can exit to take a closer look. The vineyard worker wears a wide brimmed hat. He has both hands gripping the handle of the press and one foot braced against the basket. (We were also sweating, but that was because it reached 104 F on a very unseasonably hot day in October... so bonus...we had the park to ourselves.) Beautiful scenic views from the park. Free parking available with an easy inclined paved walkway to the statue. Worth a short stop for a quick photo op.
