This is the cutest playground! One of the best we've been to recently. Getting there and finding it was interesting. I am not from the area. It's kind of hidden and tucked away next to a middle or elementary school. There's a small parking lot and a bathroom too. What sets this playground apart from others is - it makes me think of Disneyland! The way the structures were made, so fun, colorful and bright! Lots of interactive and sensory opportunities here too, including the instruments, shaded sand pits and more. I love how much shade there is. All parks should have this, but sadly they don't. Most of the area is gated. However, for the older kids, the gate was open to a busy street.. I didn't like that. There were also a lot of spider webs. I wonder if there's any regularly scheduled maintenance done here. If there isn't, that's something worth looking into. Other than that - 10 out of 10 great park! read more

My kids LOVE this playground. There is a play structure for the younger kids and one for the older kids. So many things to climb and a few different slides. Very engaging with plenty to explore. I will say, every time we go there is a different older gentleman with a metal detector so I suppose hold on to your jewelry mamas! This place must be a gold mine. Location... pull into the parking lot of the school then creep back out and stay in the fire lane then take the first right. Bring hat water and sun screen. Toddler and 5-8 y.o. Playground available but they are separate from each other so definitely a zone defense situation. My 5 yo had a blast and my almost 2 yo was kept occupied there for about 1 hr. The sun does beat down on the playground a bit but there are shaded areas for breaks. No water feature but I really wouldn't expect one. 2 sand pits for the kids to play in. Outdoor library box was also available Connects to track and field area which is beautiful. read more

absolutely adorable playground concepts and structures. i have a 3 and 1 year old that can't get enough of this place. we come every week with no issues; always parking available (even though its a small parking lot), clean bathrooms, clean play areas, shaded sand pits, & plenty of picnic areas/tables. my son loves the little playground because of the farmers market structure, and always challenges himself to go down the slides at the big playground. great park to keep kids busy and happy! read more

Great playground, I think it was redone prior to COVID. There are two playgrounds, for little sand big kids. The climbing structure is huge and has lots of slides. Plenty of swings, including an accessible one. Also has sand pit under an awning. My 4 YO had a great time climbing all over it. read more

One of the best parks in Napa hands down. This is a solid park that is next to the soccer/football field of Ridgeview Junior High School. This park has a 2 year and under area and a bigger kid area. Guy comes by there with his ice cream cart selling delicious paletas (ice cream) for a buck, get some! Lots of places for your kids to climb, cross moving bridges, and go down slides. I'm not the smallest person and found myself with my little one in the big kid area running around having a great time. This park is solid. Best playground yet! My 3YO just started getting into playgrounds, and I don't know how to top this one. It was definitely worth the 100 mi roundtrip. I don't know how this place doesn't have a higher rating, maybe most of the reviews are from years ago, before a remodel. My son spent the 1st hour in the younger age group playground until he realized there was another playground on the other side of the fence. The "big kid" playground wasn't too advanced for him. He loved all the slides. Climbed without hesitation. The playground was packed on a Sunday, but it didn't feel chaotic. Everyone was kind and courteous. There are bathrooms and there was a man serving ice cream. There was also an ice cream truck that came later. Plenty of places to sit. Some shady spots too. I'd definitely recommend. Would love to come back next time we are in Napa! read more

Took my grandson there for the first time today.....when we were FINALLY able to find it. The least they could do is have some type of signage on the main street!! What a waste of time. Wish I would have read more reviews before driving there. One of the reviews said that it was an okay place to just stop but shouldn't be a "destination" and that's certainly the case!! THOUGHT there was SUPPOSED to be some type of water feature, but it was not on and learned from one of the locals that it's NEVER WORKING, so THAT was definitely a disappointment. In addition, it was not any type of shade, so the slides were hot from the sun beating down on them. Wouldn't go again. read more

Local artists, architects and most importantly children collaborated on this creative play area featuring castles, forts, places to experiment with sound, and a collection of vehicles ranging from race cars to trains and large scale creatures like a turtle and iguana all ready to take on imaginative trips. Two massive sand play areas have water flowing into them that the kids can control. One sand play area was ringed by a small water way that a parent visitor to the park told me was a model of the Napa River. He pointed out several landmark bends and bows. How cool of the creators to make such a local connection for the children! From the bold mosaics to the steely rocket ship arch in the center of the park, this place oozes creativity! All of the climbing structures are made of wood. Like many classic playgrounds, the place is split to allow an area for smaller kids to play out of the way of the more rambunctious school-age crowd. There are also restrooms conveniently available for little bladders --- a challenge we've run into at other playgrounds. The only issue I had with the place is that it really needs a sign in front that is fitting of all the loving care and creativity that went into building it! This park was difficult to find. It is tucked into a corner that is sheltered by part of the neighborhood middle school (which was Ridgeview when I was growing up but, I understand is Harvest Middle School now). The lame colorless sign out front with the small print on it didn't help matters. We love this park. It's fanciful and whimsical, with cute little wooden houses and "castles" as my 2yo calls them. He mostly just enjoys kicking the bark around, making "racetracks" for his cars with different patterns and shapes he makes in the bark using his feet. What can I say, he likes what he likes and is very easily entertained. I'm sure he could play here for hours though, considering how much they have going on (as long as it doesn't get too hot; these past heat waves have been ridiculous). I love the colorful mosaic wall, the trees, and the size of both playgrounds. For me they're not too small, not too large, just right. I know this place would have really engaged my imagination as a child if I had played here. read more

It's a great playground, although finding it for the first time can be tricky because it is attached to Harvest Middle School via the parking lot. Once you figure that out it is worth it- it is an enclosed area so you only have to worry about your child making it to one entrance (instead of the playground on Fuller Park where the two entrances are on opposite sides forcing you to do back and forth neck swivels if your kid is out of sight for a second). There are two playgrounds here, one designed for children under 5 (although all kids are allowed) and the other for the older kids that can handle being up high, climbing, nets, and the like. Both play areas have sand pits partially covered by a shade, one has a water spout turned on in summer only (thank goodness for that because what kid won't press a button - even if it is only 60 degrees?). I come here for all my large parties for the kids- there are always plenty of bench tables (most shaded by the large trees) and the kids will easily entertain themselves here for a couple hours without adult intervention. (The BBQ set up is always something I contemplate but in all honestly I've never used it.) The miniature houses, giant stone iguana, pretend cars and trains, musical instruments, the castle-like play structure are whimsical and entertaining. There are always plenty of swings- on both play areas and even two large tire swings- whoever designed this had kids really in mind. The child swings (those with seat belts) are actually large enough to fit an adult or grown child with special needs. There is not only a bathroom and drinking fountain but also a faucet to rinse off feet on the grass. They really thought of everything. read more

A very visually creative park, without any terribly unique activities. That being said, this is a fully functioning and very well put together playground, with everything that you would expect from a standard playground. Fantastico is very colorful and visually inspiring, which is great for the kids imaginations! There are two large sand pits, swings, an impressive "jungle jim" that is more like a fortress, and several other activities for wide range of ages. Everything in this playground looked well kept up and relatively new. We will very likely be bringing our daughter here many times. One down side about this place is it is hard to find. It is right next to a school, and we drove by it three times until we realized that it was separate from the school. The sign that says "Fantastico" isn't really visible from the road if you are paying attention to driving, which is highly advisable in an area right next to a school and a playground. Locate this place on the map first, and then turn into the driveway that looks like it might be wrong one, as that's probably it. read more

Two stars is being nice. I used to love this park it was amazing tons to climb and play. Now it's a shadow of it's former self. Most the bridges have been removed there's one left. The climbing net is gone. The water feature gone. Tire swing gone. Handicap swings missing there belts. The slides are dangerous as all of them now have a huge drop due to lack of maintenance. This park needs some tlc asap. Sad at this rate my kids will never know how great this park used to be. read more

Thanks once again, Yelp, for delivering us to this awesome playground! It goes way beyond the usual slides and swings, offering a giant wooden climbing castle with lots of features to explore. Not to mention the variety of musical instruments embedded into different play structures. Our kids are 6 and 8 which made this the perfect park for them. Our youngest was easily able to play on the "big kid" structure, so we didn't have the problem of the kids spreading out across different areas. This wonderful park is right off 121; nice stop on your way in/out of Napa. After over an hour of driving, it was great to let our toddler out here to play and stretch. Half the park was dedicated to his age-group, including several small houses and stationary train cars to wander into and sit in. There was also a very large sand box, completely shaded. Across the way, there was a big kids' playground with much higher structures to climb. Our son especially loved the xylophones built into each structure. It was a but tricky finding this place for us when following Google Maps directions. Note that there is a driveway with a small parking lot adjacent to the park, right at the foot of the overpass as you head North-East. Also good to know: they have public restrooms (though they weren't in great shape). read more

Driving up to the park from the street, this park is a little deceiving because there's nothing that seems "fantastico" about it. However, once you get into it, it's delightful! It was completely empty at 12pm on a Friday, which helped us to enjoy even more. There are 2 sections - one for little kids and the other for older ones. Both have all these enclosed nooks & crannies for kids to loose themselves in - it's so great! All these little enclosed alley ways are tunnel-like and really exciting for kids to explore. My babies had a blast. Would I drive to Napa just for this park? No, but I'd DEFINITELY make it a point to stop by the next time we're in town for the kids. read more

Can tell it used to be a really nice place but as previous reviews have stated it's run down. I was concerned about my kid getting splinters from the rotting wood. Thought the bottom of the slides in the toy section were way high up. Who has a four foot toddler? Enjoyed the trees but they all are exclusively surrounding the big kids playground. I took kiddo to this playground based on Yelp reviews. It is nestled next to a middle school as people have mentioned...but to the far left if you look at the school from the road. Overall it was ok. Due to water rationing, the water feature appears defunct now. Pretty mosaic though, it must have been nice to have a mini river there. The houses and play sand were fun but I couldn't help but notice that many of the play structures, made from wood, are falling into a state of disrepair. Collapsed floor boards, the seat in the car structure is broken and half on the ground, old xylophones in the bigger kids structure area that serve only as blunted drums. I really wanted to like this. Seems like it was a great community effort, but sad to see the city cares not to keep it in good repair for the kids sake. Come on Napa, a little TLC for this place, please!! read more

This is an exceptionally planned out park for young children. It is separated into two area, so that the really young and the more assertive are separated. The climbing is combined with making music and driving stationary vehicles. When my grandniece comes for a visit we always come by. She is older now so I will have to come up with something that is mentally challenging, but what a great time she and her parents and I had taking her there. read more

I was looking for a stop in Napa for my son, and Yelp led me to this playground! The playground is actually nestled in a small corner, but it's packed with things to do for kids. It gets a star for being different, with what looks like custom-built wood structures. There are two large sections, one for kids ages 2-5, and a second section for school-age kids. Both were amusing for my 3 year old son. There are lots of nooks and crannies for playing hide-and-go-seek, plenty of places to climb, and lots of places for parents to sit in the shade. It's too bad this playground was not built into a larger green area. However, it is conveniently located right off Highway 29, and it's just a few minutes away from downtown Napa. We basically stopped here after eating at Oxbrow Market to let our son run around, then we headed up to our usual winery stops afterwards. The location works well for that type of circuit. If you are visiting Napa with children in tow, this is a good stop for you! read more

This is my go-to for outdoor activities with kids! All the kids that I've taken here never want to leave!! I also recommend it to visitors to the Napa area who come with children. My kids really enjoyed this park. There's so much space and they loved the sand and being in a "castle" like playground. However I agree with the other yelper for the needed TLC for this place. The floor boards are the main thing in need of repair. I tripped at least 5 times do to the uneven flooring and I would be devastated if a child tripped and busted their lip or broke a tooth. Seriously, fix the floor boards! Also from my experience at these type of "castle" parks, there's a lot of space underneath the park where people like to get down and dirty. While we were there today some teen couple was underneath making out and the girl had her shirt basically ripped off. Not ideal for my kids. read more

I'm a fan, this is a great park. My boys loved the little "river" you can add water to and watch it flow. There are lots of things to climb on. It really is a great park, However, I was a little put off by the three different men without children floating through for no apparent reason. One man just sitting in his car watching and then just left. A homeless man searching for cans. Another guy just standing in the middle of the playground like he was waiting for someone and then left. Thats a bit uncomfortable for a mom alone with her kids. I would definately go there again, probably with a bigger group (husband or another mom). My kids are still talking about it! (the park, that is, not the people there!) read more

Kind of tough to find, the entrance is basically in the middle school parking lot. There were some gangster-type boys hanging out and wresting in the tot yard while we were there (Saturday morning). The play structures are nice and I like how contained the two play areas are. I did feel like I needed to keep an extra close eye on my kids here though. read more
