I was invited to D-Bat by my niece as she's training for her upcoming college softball season…read more It's nice to see indoor batting cages are available as it's quite miserable outdoors to be hitting balls for an hour. The cage we used was in good shape- the floors, the netting, etc. The speed, the type of pitch and the pitch location are all able to be selected prior to entering the cage from a screen outside. The pitches were quite accurate to the settings we chose and almost every pitch was a strike, so you're not wasting your time with poor pitches. The downsides were limited, but included waiting about 3-5mins for the machines to rotate between baseballs and softballs. I also found it difficult to time up the pitches as the tubing to deliver the ball to the machine was short and not completely transparent, and once the ball hit those wheels it was halfway to me. Being a guest, I'm not sure what the membership rates are or what the price for individual sessions cost, but my niece said it's reasonable. Having hit in most of the batting cages in the East Valley, I'm trusting her input. Thanks D-Bat for a fun time

The former lobby where drinks and a little merch could be purchased is empty and drab. The pitches are inconsistent and some speeds were unavailable bc it needed maintenance. There are a lot of cages to go to and it feels as if the new owners don't know know ball. Sad about this one.

There really is no bad seat. The smaller ballparks provide an up close experience at a more affordable price point than during the season. While you could pay for parking at the venue, I'm not about that life, so I found parking in the residential neighborhood that's close to the Park. It took me about 10-15 minutes to walk over. First off, let's talk about the main purpose of Sloan Park: spring training for the Chicago Cubs. I know spring training is a big deal in Phoenix, but I was impressed with how nice this stadium is. It may not have the history of Wrigley Field but it's a super nice venue. As far as the festival experience, everything was smooth. The grounds were well maintained, getting in and out was relatively easy, and I didn't run into any issues. Exactly what you're looking for when you attend a music festival. I'll have to stop by for a spring training game next time around!

The seats I requested were in the same row one section from my 2027 season tickets allowing me the opportunity to experience how next season's view and ballpark access would feel. I fell in love with the field view and room of the seats. Thx to my season ticket concierge for taking care of this for me! Convenience 5/5 Close to the Dbacks Team shop, bathroom, great food and beverage vendors including my favorite Jersey shore boardwalk style Bratwurst and ballpark dogs guys. The only downside to being this close to the team shop is having enough room in my closet for Player Jerseys. Pre Game tour. 1o++/5 Today was a big day. I used my Advantage membership for early park entrance and a personal stadium tour which began at Noon. The tour lasted 1.5-2 hrs and was extensive. Lots of walking some parts with stairs, others with limited access elevators. The tour included exclusive restaurants, personal catered sky boxes, player family sky boxes. Corporate Sky boxes, my favorite being a radio guy was the Dbacks MLB TV broadcast booth with broadcast personalities. I had the opportunity to visit the Dbacks dugout, speak with the audio and video techs who handle the pre/post game on field interviews and a behind the scenes tour of the dugout player/family areas including another exclusive restaurant. This tour was the perfect table setting for today's and next season's experience! I've been a Dbacks fan and season ticket holder for many years. I enjoy the park and game atmosphere. Love wondering for my stretches and trying different restaurants and vendors. Met some pretty nice people by park mingling. Advantage members benefits my friends-SYOY and at the Game! It finally dawned on me... My youngest son's baseball tournaments have been scheduled at a new…read morevariety of fields and complexes all over the valley. So, just like I reviewed all the Spring Training stadiums, I've slowly been adding all the amateur fields to the Yelp! archives too. The Red Mountain Softball (and baseball too) Complex is on the other side of the world from where I live. But just like Gene Autry which is nearby, I actually enjoy making the drive to visit these fields. I don't know how old it is, but the facilities and the park are very well maintained. There are smaller softball fields and larger baseball fields (with their turf infields) so this complex has something to offer everyone. Plus it's easily accessed off the 202 Loop. Oh, and the surrounding area is pretty nice. If you're familiar with the area, you'll understand where the name "Red Mountain" comes from. There is plenty of parking which is well dispersed and there are trees. Sounds weird, but not all trees in parking lots cast shade on the parking spaces. You can find a shady spot almost anywhere in this lot. I recall visiting these fields once before, a few years back. Now my son plays on the big fields. While I can't recall using the restrooms, I know the snack bar had some decent food and it was reasonable. All in all, these fields are as nice as Pioneer in the west valley, and similar to Gene Autry, just larger. And the sunset (see photos) at the end of the weekend was gorgeous! Nicely done Mesa. In terms of sports complexes, you're two for two! Which is better than some of my son's teammates at bat. Did I mention the sunset?
